Who is the tour leader?
You will be emailed the name and contact details of your tour leader approximately one week before your tour start date.
Where does my tour start?
Your tour starts in the first city listed on the itinerary. Full meeting point details will be in your pre-departure information.
What time does the tour starts each day?
Most days have an early start to make the most of your time at each destination. Your Tour Leader will confirm exact departure times on day one.
What is the departure and arrival time of the tour?
Departure and arrival times vary by tour. Check your itinerary for details, with full timings provided in your booking confirmation and pre-departure information.
What should I pack?
What you bring depends on your tour, destination, and season. Visit travelchasers.com for packing tips and destination guides.
What level of fitness is required on the tour?
You'll need to be able to carry your own luggage, board and exit the coach, and use public transport. Walking at destinations can last up to 3 hours, and some places involve steps and uneven ground. Lift access is not guaranteed at every hotel. On Premium and Signature tours, handsfree luggage service is included.
What is the age range for the tour?
The average age of Travel Chasers travellers is approximately 35-55 years old. They welcome adventurers of all ages on their tours, and from all over the world.
What is included in the tour price?
Every tour includes accommodation, transport, daily breakfast, select other meals, and a dedicated Tour Leader managing all logistics start to finish. On Signature tours, all experiences
in the itinerary are included. Optional Experiences are available on Classic and Premium tours and can be booked with your Tour Leader on tour. Flights, travel insurance, and airport transfers are not included.What happens if visa application gets rejected?
Visa processing can take at least 4 weeks. Should your visa application be unsuccessful, you will be able to change or cancel your tour, but standard terms and conditions (and therefore potential fees) will apply
What if I miss the coach during the tour?
You'll need to make your own way to the next destination at your own expense.
What if I forget or lose my passport?
You won't be able to travel further without a valid passport. Keep it safe at all times.
What does it mean if the tour is unavailable?
A tour showing as unavailable is fully booked. Contact us and we'll help you find an alternative.
Is tipping the tour leader and driver recommended?
Tipping is common in many countries and appreciated for good service. For Travel Chasers tours, gratuities for your Tour Leader and driver are recommended as a way to show your appreciation for their care and service throughout the tour.
Is travel insurance compulsory?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory on all Travel Chasers tours and should be taken out at the time of booking.
Is the deposit refundable?
Your deposit is non-refundable.
How much walking is involved on the tours?
Walking is part of the experience at most destinations. Many cities have steps, cobblestones, and pedestrian-only areas. Walking at destinations can last up to 3 hours.
How much time is spent on the coach?
Some days involve longer drives to cover larger distances. The coach stops every 2–3 hours for comfort breaks. Premium tours spend more time in destinations and less time in transit than Classic tours.
What is the luggage limitation?
One main bag weighing no more than 20kg and one small piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 5kg. For South American tours that include internal flights, the maximum is 15kg. On Classic tours, you carry your own luggage. On Premium and Signature tours, handsfree luggage service is included.
What is the number of people on the tour?
Classic and Premium tours have groups of up to 50 travellers. Signature tours have groups of up to 24.
How do I get visa documents for a visa application?
We can provide visa support documents on request. Full payment of the tour must be made before we can issue documents, as required by embassies and consulates.
Are there any luggage/storage facilities on the tour?
No. Keep your belongings with you at all times.
Are package tours available?
Travel Chasers doesn't organise flights or transfers. You'll need to arrange your own travel to the tour start point.
Is it recommended to change money before the tour?
It depends on the destination and the traveller. We don't recommend carrying large amounts of cash. There are ATM machines at or near most hotels, and contactless payments are accepted at many destinations.
Are visas needed on the tour?
Visa requirements vary by nationality and destination. Contact the relevant embassy or consulate to confirm your requirements before booking.
Is there a seat allocation on each traveller on the coach?
No. We rotate seats throughout the tour so everyone gets to meet everyone. It's one of the ways the group comes together.
What are the names of the hotels on the tour?
A full list of accommodation names and addresses is provided before your tour. If you need the confirmed start or end hotel to arrange pre- or post-tour accommodation, please contact us.
Is it possible to customize the tour based on a travellers needs?
Classic, Premium, and Signature tours follow set itineraries. If you're travelling as a private group and want a trip built around your dates, pace, and budget, our Chaser Made range does exactly that. Contact us for more information.
Is it possible for a quote on the tour price to be sent?
The price that you see on the website is the price you will pay. We don't charge any additional booking fees or credit card surcharges.
Can you help with pre/post tour accommodation?

Can you cater travellers with dietary requirements?
Before your tour starts, please ensure you have notified us of any dietary requirements. There will always be a vegetarian option available for included meals and Optional Experiences. Generally speaking we are not able to offer other dietary provisions such as vegan, gluten-free or lactose-free options, so if your requirements are strict, it's worth bringing snacks as backup.
Is it possible to start/finish the tour at a different location?
You can join or leave the tour at any point along the itinerary. There's no discount for joining or leaving early. Contact us and we'll make sure you have everything you need.
Are flights included in the tour price?
Flights to and from your tour start and end points are not included. Some itineraries include internal flights during the tour itself, which will be clearly noted on the tour page.
Are children allowed on the tour?
For Classic and Premium tours, we have a minimum age of 10 years old. For Signature tours the minimum age is 18 years old. We may consider younger children on certain tours on a case-by-case basis. Get in touch in writing and we'll let you know what's possible.
