    Asked on July 30th, 2026

On Day 1 we leave Greenwich at 6.30 a.m. which will not allow time for breakfast. Will there be a breakfast stop later in the morning?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

As your tour is scheduled for 2027, the final itinerary has not yet been released and is still subject to change.

However, based on the current and previous 2026 itinerary, Day 1 includes a stop in Cambridge before continuing to York. While breakfast is not included before the departure from Greenwich, there is typically an opportunity to purchase breakfast or refreshments during the journey.

Please note that the final itinerary and scheduled stops will be confirmed closer to your departure date.

    Abigail

    Asked on July 19th, 2026

Your age restriction is 75 years. I am 86, but quite fit, still cycling, walking is no problem. My wife is 77 and as fit as me. Would like to take part in that tour.

    Age Range
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

Based on what you've told us, it sounds like both of you are fit and comfortable with walking, so you are welcome to join the tour.

The age guideline is in place because our tours are fast paced and typically involve walking for around 1 to 2.5 hours at a time. We recommend that travellers have good mobility or only minimal mobility limitations to comfortably keep up with the group.

From your description, it sounds like this should not be an issue for either of you, and we would be delighted to welcome you both on tour.

Is it a different hotel every night? When will we know what hotels we are at?

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten May 2026

Yes, you will be staying in different hotels throughout the tour as you travel between destinations. The full list of confirmed hotels, along with the detailed itinerary and final tour programme, will be shared once the booking is fully paid.

  • M

    Melanie

    Asked on May 7th, 2026

What do you have thats like the Great Britain package, but is lower intensity?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten May 2026

At the moment, we currently offer one dedicated Great Britain tour package. This 7-day Great Britain tour covers England, Scotland, and Wales, combining cities, history, and scenery. You will visit key highlights including London, Cambridge, York, Liverpool, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Stonehenge, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.

Expect a mix of experiences: Historic landmarks and UNESCO sites, Cultural icons like Shakespeare and The Beatles, Natural beauty in the Lake District and Scottish Highlands (Loch Ness, Glencoe, Ben Nevis), Castles, battlefields, and scenic drives.

In terms of activity level, all Expat Explore tours involve a moderate amount of walking and travellers are required to carry their own luggage. Walking tours can last up to 3 hours, and some locations may include stairs and uneven surfaces. We always recommend reviewing the itinerary carefully to ensure the pace feels comfortable and enjoyable for you.

If you are open to combining Great Britain with Ireland for a broader and potentially more varied pace of travel, we also offer Best of UK and Ireland combination tours.

At this moment, this departure has already reached capacity for private rooms. You have a couple of options: you can join the tour on the standard twin-share accommodation, sharing a room with another solo traveler of the same gender, or you may choose to look at alternative departure dates that still have private room availability.

      TravelerWritten March 2026

On arrival and departure days, are we picked up, dropped off at the airport? Or do we have to make our own arrangements to get from the airport to the hotel and vice versa?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

For this tour, flights are not included, so you will need to arrange your international and any domestic flights separately. Airport transfers and pre- or post-tour hotel accommodations are also not included, and the exact arrangements will depend on your airport of origin and travel schedule. Once your booking is confirmed, we can provide helpful links to external providers for pre- and post-tour hotels as well as airport transfer options to help make your arrival and departure as smooth as possible.
