The cycling conditions in the Far East really shine during autumn - specifically September through November - when temperatures cool down and humidity drops to comfortable levels. If you're looking for a different time, March and April also work well, plus you'll catch some fantastic local festivals. Our travelers often tell us the homestays in the Mekong Delta villages become their favorite memories, sharing family meals and learning about daily life firsthand. Early risers particularly love watching the sun come up over Angkor Wat's ancient temples, which adds a whole other dimension to these cycling journeys.
See all Far East tours toursOur TourRadar customers keep coming back to tell us about their favorite Southeast Asian moments. Up in Chiang Mai, the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary gives you real time with rescued elephants - you'll learn their habits and the work that goes into protecting them. Out on Halong Bay, spending a night on the water lets you kayak between limestone cliffs, swim in hidden spots and explore caves before settling in for peaceful evenings afloat. Cambodia offers deep perspective at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a difficult but crucial historical site that helps visitors understand the country's past. Many of our travelers discover they love getting hands-on with Khmer cooking classes, picking up traditional recipes and techniques. Angkor Wat's massive temple complex still amazes everyone with its detailed stone work and architectural scale. November through February brings cooler temperatures and clear skies - perfect weather for exploring temples and being outdoors. Our guests often tell us about catching that soft morning light at Angkor Wat and watching the sun drop behind Halong Bay's islands.
See all South East Asia tours toursLocal homestays really make these Indochina trips come alive - you'll sit down for family meals in the Mekong Delta's waterside homes and get involved in daily village life in rural Chambok, Cambodia. The Angkor temples offer remarkable moments, like watching early sunlight spread across Angkor Wat's towers or getting up close to intricate stone work at Banteay Srei. Getting there is half the experience - you'll cycle through green rice fields, pass colorful village markets and chat with locals on quiet back roads across Cambodia and the Mekong area. Our travelers often tell us the cooking sessions with local families are a highlight, where they learn to make steaming bowls of Vietnamese pho or rich Cambodian amok curry from scratch.
See all Indochina tours toursThe Taj Mahal stands as India's true masterpiece, where our guests love watching the morning light play across the white marble at sunrise. Rajasthan opens up a world of royal experiences - you can actually stay in real palaces like Sardargarh Fort and Rohet Garh, where every corner tells a story from centuries past. In Jaipur, the massive Amber Fort and City Palace showcase how the maharajas lived in real splendor, while Ranthambore National Park lets you track wild tigers through their natural territory. The heart of India beats strongest in Old Delhi's narrow lanes, where rickshaw rides take you past the grand Jama Masjid mosque and through spice markets filled with local life, aromatic flavors and also constant motion. The best time to visit? Our travelers find October through March ideal - you get clear skies for photos, comfortable temperatures for walking around and also the chance to join festivals like Diwali or the Pushkar Camel Fair that really bring Indian culture to life.

"Hotels changed during the tour and we were not informed until that very day. A number of hotels were quite isolated, no opportunity to tour local area. A free day was given in Bangkok, with no suggested activities other than a floating market; really in big old Bangkok!
