For the bullet train segments, you will be travelling independently rather than with a guide. Your tickets will be provided by our experience hosts, who will also provide all the relevant details and advise you ahead of each journey. Yes, you will bring your suitcase with you on the bullet train, as you'll be changing cities and hotels (for example, from Kyoto to Osaka). The trains have large overhead luggage compartments to accommodate full size suit cases.

How much to add Airport Transfer from Narita Airport to the Standard package hotel? Also it says a small group tour however then it says up to 50pax - is that the case? Is it like a self guided tour or is there 1 tour guide through out the trip.

Private airport transfers price range from 100 to 150 USD per way. You can expect small groups in our walking tours and our food experiences - up to 15 people. For our tours that depart to other cities (example: Mount Fuji from Tokyo) we have up to 25. Nevertheless, this really changes per season and day. For the tours; you will meet a guide at a centralized meeting point, where you will join different travelers each day of the tours.

It's hard to describe in words the impact that a first trip to Japan has on you. Magnificent, spectacular, overwhelming (but in the good way)...the descriptions are endless. Any season would be suitable to visit, but there's a special kind of feeling that the autumn in Japan brings. People say that Japan is one of the best countries for food lovers to visit, and this is no exaggeration. You can buy (and eat) great Japanese dishes and ingredients in your home country, but it tastes so much better in the land of their origin. Tourist Japan will go out of their way to help you with inquiries, and they provide stays at excellent hotels with reasonable prices. Make sure to also use Google Maps to help you get to the right places. And be on time! Out of respect for the locals, it will also help if you learn the essential Japanese phrases, with a few extras. They truly appreciate it, and wherever you struggle, they'll be more than willing to help in English. And Tourist Japan has the best guides you could ever want.Show more
