What people love about touring Asia solo
- Sri Lanka Solo Journey Group
This tour is a good introduction to Sri Lanka's highlights, packing a thoughtful itinerary into a compact timeframe. Our driver, Pavi, was the standout—exceptionally caring, always ready to assist, and a safe, knowledgeable guide who made the journey seamless. A huge thank you to Pavi for elevating the entire experience! I docked a star due to a few hotels located far from city centers, which limited independent exploring during free time. Some activities and smaller towns felt underwhelming too or like tourist traps. Things like the gem museum are just a sales ploy masked as educational. Though the tours get commissions for pushing us to these 'sales' stops, I still think they should be removed from the tour. Yet, still, this tour is ideal for more 'normal' tourists wanting to tick off main sites efficiently. For full immersion, it's best to do the country on your own... Overall recommendation: Yes, especially if you get Pavi—you'll be in great hands for a broad, hassle-free overview of Sri Lanka! Thank you Pavi and the others that added thoughtful stops and value to this tour.
- 5 Stans and Caucasus
Central Stans and Caucasus - April - 2019. It was delightful trip and it was an incredible experience we had with East Site! The trip was perfectly organized, the accommodations fantastic, good local meals! Hiking the Burana Tower ruins in Kyrgyzstan, crossing one of the biggest deserts in the world known as Garagum desert which means "black sand" in Turkmenistan, visiting Bukhara, Samarkand, Old Khiva in Uzbekistan and after all the Caucasus - you will be seizing the moment this trip.
- 3 Stans and Caucasus
The Caucasus, April 2019. We were struck by churches, monasteries, fortress. The Caucasus magnifies by its beauty and its beautiful scenery cannot be adequately told and has to be seen to be appreciated.
