  The trip was amazing! The transportation was well communicated and organized. If I had any rather urgent questions regarding transportation, Tour Radar seemed to always be available online. The hotels were good to fantastic. I specifically enjoyed the hotel in Thailand. The three star hotels were so-so with the Vietnam hotel a little run down. The tour operators were good, but lacked a good command of the English language. Overall, I would say everything was “good” to “excellent”.Show more

A lot of free time, don’t feel rushed but tour dates are sort of cut short because no planned activities for the entire day before afternoon flights are booked, sitting in a hotel lobby for hours with no planned activity which I think we are not getting our monies worth.Show more

  Overall communication with Tour Radar was good and With Dat at Prestigo once we started our trip. He was very responsive to any issue we had. I’d like to preface that as a private tour for 4 our expectations were high as we have traveled around the world on private tours. So I’ll start with what went well. 1. Our drivers were always on time and the vehicles were in excellent shape with the exception of Cambodia. The vehicle was satisfactory. 2. Overall, the hotel reservations were excellent with the exception of Phuket. We had upgraded to 5 star and had chosen our hotels except the Katathani Resort in Phuket which felt more like an all inclusive resort rather than a luxury resort. 3. The tour guides were very good, Duong - Ninh Binh, Luna - the caves and Monica - Bangkok. Jame in Cambodia was mediocre and the tour guide in Phuket was terrible. We could barely understand what he was saying - later on that subject. I’ll start by what went well. 4. Halong Bay - the orchid classic was nice but as we had upgraded to first class hotels it would have been nice to have received recommendations for higher end cruise such as Calista which we saw in the harbor upon departure. 5. Elephant sanctuary in Phuket was very good experience although we were expecting more of a jungle like atmosphere. But very well run and the host was engaging and informative. 6. Guide in Bangkok Luna was excellent. She adjusted our schedule to see the temples in the am so it would not be as hot and then Later the floating market. She was engaging and informative and Shasta felt like she was watching out for us. Lunch was delicious. Here are a few things that need improvement. 1. Our other travelers could never access the information on Tour Radar app and it became cumbersome for me to have to coordinate. I understand one point of contact but other travelers should have at least been able to access and view. 2. Our guide for Ninh Binh - Duong - was excellent although he had not been given the correct itinerary. He brought umbrellas for us from the hotel and paid great attention to each detail. The incorrect itinerary showed us going to two temples and not visiting the Dragon hike nor bike ride through the rice fields. Fortunately, Duong pivoted quickly and made sure we got what we requested. Had it not been for him reviewing the itinerary at the beginning we would not have known it was incorrect. As it happened, we did not get to see the temples as we ran out of time. 3. Dong Hoi - loved hotel rooms and quaintness of hotel however the beach in front of the hotel was trashy and loud frogs all during night outside of our room made it difficult to sleep. Most of the doa services were closed. Staff was wonderful and massages were excellent. Dining staff the 2nd night were very poor. Nothing to do in Dong Hoi itself. Our guide - Luna - to the caves was excellent. As was the vehicle and driver. Lunch at local restaurant was delicious. 4. Hotel was excellent as was our guide Nam. Cu chi tunnels were very interesting but Mekong delta a huge disappointment. Felt like a tourist trap with each stop just hustling us to buy something. Only good stop was lacquerware made by the disabled. Very short ride on canoe down Mekong delta which we expected our experience to be more like the canoe ride. Would have skipped this completely as it did not feel like an authentic experience. 5. Angkor Wat - guide Jame was okay. Very nice but kept repeating the same information. Went to an à la carte restaurant that was mediocre. 6. Phuket boat experience. Very poor. Our guide was incredibly difficult to understand and the whole day was a disappointment starting with the 1st stop at Maya Bay which was packed and you couldn’t even enter the water. Not sure why we stopped here first. We cruised by monkey island and saw two monkeys - not worth the stop. Drove past Viking cave - didn’t see any of it. Got to phi phi don island where two of our group were expecting to go out in a boat to dive as stated in the itinerary and what we had booked. Guide says the dive was a beginner dive from the beach. He kept arguing with us and distant understand so we canceled. Terrible lunch at a horrible buffet that didn’t have anything to drink but water abd there was a time limit how long you could be there. Just like a big cafeterias - no ambiance and no service. Very surly staff. Our guide finally took us to two spots to snorkel - first one was murky and 2nd one would have been great if we’d gone there first but ran out of time. Im not even sure which islands we were seeing as I couldn’t understand most if what he was saying. Huge disappointment for our trip. I expected a complete refund for that day if not further remuneration. It was the whole reason we went to Phuket for the diving. Not even sure if we saw Khai island. Overall, the trip was satisfactory but as guests who upgraded to first class hotels and private tours there were done things lacking. Again, it ended with a huge disappointment in Phuket.Show more

Cruise & accommodation standards Concerning Orchid Cruise, it is a luxury cruise in Ha Long Bay, but with a different concept and style compared to Calista. Orchid Cruise follows a more traditional “junk boat” design, which many travelers appreciate, while Calista offers a more modern concept. Both are considered luxury, but with different experiences. We understand that expectations regarding “luxury” can vary. For example, your hotel in Hanoi was a 5-star boutique hotel rather than an international luxury brand. At the beginning, we did not clearly understand your preference for high-end luxury accommodations. If we had known your expectations more specifically, we would have recommended more exclusive options. This is why the Phuket, Katathani is a 5-star beachfront resort was added. Additionally, we initially proposed balanced options to avoid significantly increasing the overall cost, as luxury upgrades can raise the price considerably—and we noticed your concern when the quotation increased based on your hotel preferences. If you could share a clearer idea of your preferred level of luxury in the future, we would be able to tailor our recommendations more precisely. 3. Guide in Ninh Binh We sincerely apologize for the issue with the guide in Ninh Binh. This was due to a misunderstanding, and we addressed it immediately once we were informed. The guide has been penalized, and we trust he still took proper care of your group during the trip. 4. Accommodation in Dong Hoi Dong Hoi is not a major tourist destination; most travelers stay there mainly to visit Phong Nha Cave. Due to logistical reasons, at least two nights are required to explore the area properly. , Dong Hoi is not particularly known for its beaches, and during the low season, beach conditions are not as favorable compared to other destinations. 5. Mekong Delta experience The Mekong Delta is one of the most popular destinations for travelers visiting Ho Chi Minh City. As your trip took place during peak season, it was naturally more crowded. Most day tours in the Mekong Delta follow similar itineraries and activities. We apologize if the experience did not feel as authentic as expected. 6. Phuket – Phi Phi tour Regarding the Phi Phi tour, we received your feedback about the scuba diving activity, which unfortunately could not be completed due to issues from the boat operator. We have already agreed to refund this portion. Other parts of the tour were completed as planned with a private speedboat. Please note that Phi Phi Islands are among the busiest tourist destinations in Phuket, and most key highlights were covered during your trip.
