What people love about 3-week Asia tours
- Central Asia Combined Silk Road Tour
We had a different guide in each country as they contract each country/leg out to a different company. The guides we had in each stop were amazing but the itinerary was slightly amended. There were times when the guide's itinerary didn't match ours, major sites remained the same but the smaller factory visits etc were excluded. Once this was brought to the guide's attention they were quick to rectify it and add it into the next day's itinerary if possible. The organisation of the adventure between Steepe Adventures and the contracted companies could have been better, or changes communicated better but overall my experience was very positive. This area of the world is amazing and if you are able to relax and take things as they come rather than consider the itinerary bible you will thoroughly enjoy it. its part of the adventure. If there was anything I would change is to have more time in Kazakhstan. One day in the main city is nowhere near a true representation of the country.
- Southeast Asia 21-Day Highlights Tour
Laos was a country I’d like to explor further, the accommodations were great and the people terrific. Hoi An Village villas was a jewel, the service was excellent, the area around it a real highlight, especially the local people. Ha long over night boat trip was another wonderful experience. We could have made a week of it, if we were taken to other sights further away. The whole trip was one of the best I’ve done.
- Indochina Tour with Bangkok Extension 21 Days
This tour was amazing! It definitely hit the high points of all the places visited. Since it's probably the only time we will visit SE Asia I wanted to see as much as possible. At first I thought the flight days would be "wasted" but it was good to have some time to relax, catch up, and maybe do a little shopping. Our tour guides were top-notch. On time, knowledgable, friendly, and very helpful. My husband had mobility issues, not as well-healed from a knee operation as we expected. The guides and drivers were extremely accommodating in enabling him to do as much as possible. The rivers were very low due to the dry season, so getting in and out of the boats was quite the challenge. Our drivers were safe, expert as negotiating the horrendous traffic, never once did I think I might die. The tour was definitely well-organized. Ha, our personal agent, was quick to answer my (many!!!!) questions, help with logistics, offer advice about accessibility for my husband, and just help with whatever we needed. We chose the 3-star hotels and found them very nice. One thing to note: SE Asia in general is just not handicap-accessible. Lots of steps with no railings. This tour is physically challenging and would be more so in hot weather. We were fortunate to have private tours most of the time so we weren't holding others back. To "do it all" be physically fit and drink lots of water!
