Why is the price for 1 person calculated almost as if there were 2 people? Is there a single supplement, or is the price based on sharing a room?

You are welcome to join our small group tour departing on 17 February 2027. We would be happy to have you join the group as a solo traveller.

My son is currently in Sri Lanka and is travelling alone. He would like to join the Sri Lanka Solo Journey Group in the next few days. Could you please tell me how many travellers are already confirmed for the departures on August 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th, and their approximate age range? He would particularly like to join the departure with the largest group and, if possible, other travellers in their 20s or 30s.

At the moment, we do not have a confirmed group departure on 7 August 2026. However, we do have a similar tour departing on 11 August 2026, which your son would be very welcome to join. If this departure works for him, we would be happy to provide more information about the group and assist with his booking.

The most physically demanding activities on this tour are: Sigiriya Lion Rock - This involves climbing approximately 1,200 steps. It can be challenging. If you do not feel like climbing, you can take a village tour or have an Ayurvedic massage while the group is at the site. The remaining sightseeing in Negombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Mirissa and Colombo involves only light walking at a comfortable pace. If you are comfortable with moderate walking, you will have a wonderful experience.

Does this tour have a minimum number? I see some activities are included at each destination, but can you provide cost of the optional extras (and are these only bookable when client arrives). If client wishes to have extra nights at end, what is the additional cost per night please.

A minimum of two participants is required for this tour to operate. The optional entrance and activity fees per person are as follows: • Sigiriya Lion Rock – USD 35 • Minneriya National Park Jeep Safari – USD 65 • Dambulla Cave Temple – USD 8 • Temple of the Tooth Relic – USD 8 • Cultural Dance Performance – USD 8 • Victoria Park – USD 7 • Ella Train Tickets: First Class – USD 20 Second Class – USD 15 Third Class – USD 10 • Yala National Park Jeep Safari – USD 75 • Whale Watching Excursion – USD 65 • Madu River Safari – USD 25 We recommend prepaying the entrance and activity fees before arrival, as it makes your client's travel experience much easier and more convenient. If your client would like to extend their stay after the tour, post-tour accommodation in Negombo is available for USD 45 per night (single room). We can also arrange an airport drop-off for USD 20 after the tour.

Can you please tell me if I pay in full on booking or if I pay a deposit only until nearer to the time?

To secure your booking, we only require a 20% deposit at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance can be paid closer to your travel date, approximately two weeks before your arrival.

From the very beginning, the communication with Mango Vacations was incredibly fast, friendly and helpful. Every question and every request was handled with great care, and we always felt that our wishes were taken seriously. A very special thank you goes to our guide Thili (Thilina). He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire trip and shared so much knowledge about Sri Lanka with us. He didn’t just show us the typical sights, but also knew all the little special places and viewpoints along the way. The itinerary was very well chosen, and whenever possible, Thili adapted the plans to the weather and the circumstances so that we could make the most of every day. Thili and our driver Mahinda were also a fantastic team. We travelled as just two guests, but the four of us had so much fun together in the car. The atmosphere was always relaxed, friendly and full of laughter, which made the long drives feel much shorter. Mahinda was an excellent driver. We always felt completely safe and comfortable with him, and he drove very carefully and considerately at all times. The vehicle was also in excellent condition. Overall, this was a truly memorable trip, and a big part of that was because of the wonderful people who accompanied us. Our driver, Pavi, was the standout—exceptionally caring, always ready to assist, and a safe, knowledgeable guide who made the journey seamless. A huge thank you to Pavi for elevating the entire experience! I docked a star due to a few hotels located far from city centers, which limited independent exploring during free time. Some activities and smaller towns felt underwhelming too or like tourist traps. Things like the gem museum are just a sales ploy masked as educational. Though the tours get commissions for pushing us to these 'sales' stops, I still think they should be removed from the tour. Yet, still, this tour is ideal for more 'normal' tourists wanting to tick off main sites efficiently. For full immersion, it's best to do the country on your own... Overall recommendation: Yes, especially if you get Pavi—you'll be in great hands for a broad, hassle-free overview of Sri Lanka!   Sigiriya Lion Rock - This involves climbing approximately 1,200 steps. It can be challenging. If you do not feel like climbing, you can take a village tour or have an Ayurvedic massage while the group is at the site.

However, the itinerary is designed so that all of the listed activities can be completed within the tour schedule. If there are any activities that you or your clients are not interested in, they can simply be skipped without affecting the rest of the tour.
