In depth and thorough visit to the Valley Very thorough tour - we went everywhere there was of interest. Tour guide experienced and knowledgeable. This trip apparently averages only about four customers, so the day was up close and personal and tailored to our interests. What a place Death Valley is - you have to get into first hand to appreciate the challenges it posed for the pioneers.

We have just completed the private Tourradar Bestseller Tour India with Nepal with the local Payless Tours. After our initial enquiry we had a few questions and requests for minor adjustments, and they were all dealt with promptly and expertly. The trip itself was organised brilliantly. Our driver, Sunil (Suni), was phenomenal in every way. Driving in India and Nepal is unlike anything we have experienced in all our travels with little care for rules of the road. A two-lane road often has three vehicles weaving in and out side by side plus tuk tuks and motorbikes. It is not uncommon to find vehicles and motorbikes coming towards you on the wrong side of the road. Having grown up with the system Suni is an expert in handling every situation. One thing visitors need to be aware of is not to judge distances and driving times by western expectations. As an example, one 200 km stretch in Nepal took us 7 hours. On a day-to-day basis Suni was more than just our driver but was a guide and informant. For specific monuments or tourist attractions we were met by local guides and Suni seemed to know them all. We have huge respect for Payless Tours making complicated arrangements ahead of time, but it was Suni who navigated us proficiently day by day. On out last day in Delhi we had a different driver, Rohit, who is also an expert with the crazy traffic. To be fair, to us it seems chaotic, but for local drivers it is totally normal and they do have a system that seems to work. We had encountered Rohit once before as he had previously met us at the Nepal border. He was amazing and without his help we would have had serious problems navigating the immigration system. In summary, we have nothing but praise for Tourradar and Payless Tours and highly recommend them for anyone considering visiting India.

What our customers ask about Fully Guided Tours & Trips
What are fully guided accommodations like?
You'll stay in comfortable 3-5 star hotels chosen for their location and quality. In Japan, this means places like the Star Gate Hotel near Kansai Airport and Osaka Castle Hotel. If you're headed to Egypt, you'll split your time between nice hotels like the Tolip Golden Plaza in Cairo and boats for your Nile cruise. One happy traveler put it well: "The hotels throughout the tour were all clean and comfortable. Our accommodation was everywhere acceptable and in nice boutique hotels."
How do you get around on fully guided tours?
Your guide takes care of all the travel details, so you can relax. You'll ride in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles - small vans for smaller groups or larger buses when needed. In India, for example, groups of 4-5 travel in Toyota Innovas. Some trips mix it up with special travel experiences, like taking an overnight train in Vietnam or cruising down the Nile in Egypt. Your guide handles everything, including making sure your bags get to your room.
How active are fully guided tours?
It really depends on the tour, but most keep things at an easy to moderate level. You might walk for 2-3 hours on city tours, climb some stairs at temples or museums, or take optional hikes. In Japan, for instance, the Mount Fuji visit includes some walking at 7,546 feet (2,300m). Your guide will make sure the pace works for everyone in the group, and you'll have plenty of downtime at your hotel to rest up between activities.
How much free time do you get on fully guided tours?
You typically get 2-4 hours of free time each day to explore on your own. In India, for example, many tours do sightseeing in the morning and leave afternoons open. Your guide (travelers often mention guides like Neeraj) will suggest great things to do during your free time. Some tours also offer optional activities - like visiting the Abu Simbel temples in Egypt - if you want to add more to your day.
When's the best time to take a fully guided tour?
It really depends where you're going. Vietnam is best from October to March when you'll miss the monsoon season. Morocco shines in spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) when the weather is warm but not too hot. As one traveler who went to Vietnam shared: "We went in April and had perfect weather - not too hot or rainy, making the outdoor activities much more enjoyable."
