To clarify, our pre-trip documentation and communications advise guests that Tokyo is served by two main international airports: Haneda Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT). We explicitly note that Haneda is significantly closer to downtown Tokyo and our central hotel locations, whereas Narita is located further out in neighboring Chiba Prefecture, which naturally requires additional travel time to reach the city center. Tour Pace & Itinerary: Our multi-city Japan itineraries are designed to cover a broad array of iconic highlights within a limited timeframe. While this allowed the group to experience many key sights, we understand that a fast-paced schedule can feel hurried, and we appreciate your input on balancing sightseeing time with a more relaxed flow. Hotels & Transportation: Hotel room sizes in Japanese metropolitan centers are notoriously compact compared to Western standards, though cleanliness and convenience are always our priority. Regarding transportation, our chartered coaches strictly adhere to local safety regulations, though we recognize that comfort during longer drives is essential for an enjoyable journey. We would also like to apologize for the areas where your experience fell short of expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify what occurred: The Tour Downgrade: It is always a difficult challenge for us to operate our 4-star (deluxe) tours because fewer people sign up for them, making it hard to meet the minimum group size required to run them. When we realized we couldn't run the deluxe departure, we transitioned you to our standard tour and promptly refunded you the price difference, which was $800 USD lower per person. Hotel Accommodations: Because of the transition to the standard tour, the hotels booked were our standard-tier properties. Hotel rooms in major cities like Tokyo can be significantly smaller than Western standards, but we apologize that they felt cramped during your stay. The Tour Guide: We are sorry to hear that your guide's style didn't quite match what you were looking for. While some travelers prefer more independent time at the sites, we understand you wanted a deeper, more informative guiding experience.
