Many of our itineraries are designed with exactly that in mind, balancing local towns, historic districts, and scenic countryside with just enough time in major cities for orientation. For example, instead of spending several days in Tokyo, we often include: Takayama – a beautifully preserved old town with traditional streets and local markets Kanazawa – known for its historic samurai and geisha districts and one of Japan's most authentic gardens Hakone or Kawaguchiko – for nature, hot springs, and Mt. Fuji views Kyoto – focused more on temples, neighborhoods, and cultural experiences rather than city sightseeing Nara or small towns near Osaka/Kyoto – quieter, very traditional, and rich in history

We don't have private transfer services. But the first night hotel is only one stop away from the airport(KIX) and you can get a train ride, or taxi. I will send out detailed directions before the departure. For the departure transfer I will also send out the directions once the hotels are finalized.

We don't have private airport pickup services. But the first night hotel is only one stop away by train from the airport and we will send out detailed directions with pictures. You can also get a taxi to get to the hotel as well. For the transfer to the hotel in Tokyo you can book it through the tour guide in Japan or the hotel.

Can you please advise if the trip covers locations to view Cherry Blossoms?

Yes this tour is perfect for the Cherry Blossom period as there are many places with Cherry Blossom along the tour. Both 27th and 29th are excellent dates. But March 29th has fewer people booked so it might be a smaller group size.

In the age range you listed 18-39. My sons are 16, twins, my mom is 75 and my sisters and wife in their mid 50's, I am 58 but I can outwork most 20 and 30 year olds and play ice hockey and snowboard and mountain bike. So are we excluded from your tour?

He added a lot of information during the bus rides and had books to back up with context. We did this tour in 2024 with a guide that was subpar so it was such a nice experience to have somebody who really knew what they were doing. It was like doing the same tour for the first time. I thought it was a good overall taste of Japan. The tour started in Osaka and ended in Tokyo and we got to see the little stops in between. It was great although I do have some down points. I felt sometimes it was a bit rushed , would have been nicer to stop and really enjoy the scenery for a bit. The second was people not showing up on time consistently was a bummer. They spent 15 minutes shopping extra while the others just stood waiting for them around the bus.Show more

Tour guide Trend was very good. She made the trip very enjoyable. The trip to Mt Fuji and the lake ride was a highlight. Many of the sites were very crowded with tourists unfortunately but that was expected. We would have rather spent more time in the less crowded places. However, the accommodations were not very good and detracted from the tour. The first hotel, Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport, had stains on the carpet, mold on the ceiling, and was very hot and humid even with the AC on full blast in November. The second hotel in Osaka, Dotonbori Crystal Exe, needed a thorough cleaning and there were also gross stains on the furniture. The last hotel in Tokyo was so small we could barely fit with our luggage and bailed for somewhere bigger. The other hotels were adequate. Overall the tour was good but the accommodations left much to be desired.Show more

We went on the 8d japan tour and it really was a whistle stop tour which was a little too much at times for us pensioners but we managed. saw lots of sights which we will never forget. but although the tour guide, Freddy was a nice block, he seemingly can't count was very disorganized. the very 1st day we got on the coach and he welcomed us with the words "its nice to have such a small group of 16". Then after 3 calls to him from his boss, we had to return to pickup 1 person that we had left behind as Freddy hadn't counted the group. then the next day one of the group phoned him to let him know that they were in a shop trying to sort the tax free payment and would be a min or 2 late but he ignored them and we left anyway. We then had to wait while he went back for them and told them off! he kept telling us were to meet and at what time but then changed without telling all the group. His favourite phrase when asked about something was "i don't know but it might be..." and really didn't have lots of info. Wonderful sights, nice people in the group but let down somewhat by the tour guide.Show more

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 26th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 26th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Stunning Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Stunning Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Stunning Tours" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
