      Tour guide coordinate the bullet train to and from? Pay him the extra ? Be by yourself to find way back to bullet train and hotel ? Np tour deals where bullet train included? Not going to Japan and not riding bullet train

    Is it possible to pick us up at the Osaka bullet train station on day 1.

      We don't provide private transfer services for station arrivals, but getting from the bullet train station to your hotel is very straightforward. Since you are staying at the Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport on your first night, you will actually be heading south toward the airport area. The hotel is located right at Rinku-Town Station (just one stop before the airport itself).

      When you arrive by Shinkansen, you will land at Shin-Osaka Station. Here are the two best options to get to your hotel:

      Option 1: The Express Train (Most Convenient & Comfortable)
      From the Shinkansen gates at Shin-Osaka, follow the signs to the regular JR lines and look for the Kansai Airport Express "Haruka" (the train features distinct Hello Kitty branding).
      Take the Haruka express train directly down to Kansai Airport Station (about 50 minutes).
      From the airport, you can either take the hotel's free shuttle bus directly to Star Gate, or hop on any local JR/Nankai train for a quick 5-minute ride back to Rinku-Town Station, which connects directly into your hotel building.

      Option 2: The Rapid Train (Fewer Transfers, Budget-Friendly)
      Take a quick 4-minute local JR train ride from Shin-Osaka Station to main JR Osaka Station.
      At Osaka Station, switch to the Kansai Airport Rapid Service train.
      This train takes you directly to Rinku-Town Station in about 65 minutes without requiring any other transfers. The Star Gate Hotel is directly connected to the station exit.

      A quick note on Taxis: Because the Kansai Airport area is located on an island about 50km (30+ miles) south of the bullet train station, a taxi ride will take around 50 minutes and cost upwards of ¥20,000 to ¥25,000 (roughly $150–$180 USD), so we highly recommend the train options above for a much smoother and cost-effective trip!
