Japan’s historical architecture is incredibly rich, but when a tour includes a high concentration of shrines and temples back-to-back, "temple fatigue" is a very real thing. After a while, the distinct history and beauty of each site can certainly start to blend together. Your suggestion to shift the balance toward modern culture, specialized museums, shopping, and local culinary experiences is excellent—especially regarding Osaka. Osaka is truly the street-food and culinary capital of Japan, and it thrives on its vibrant, fast-paced urban energy rather than traditional religious sites. We are always looking for ways to refine our itineraries and ensure our guests get a diverse, engaging experience. I am sharing your notes directly with our itinerary planning team so we can look into introducing more curated food tours, shopping exploration time, and museum visits for future departures, particularly during our days in Osaka.   The tour was a great introduction to Japan, being one of our bucket list countries to tour we were quite pleased with it all. “Kentaro” our guide was very knowledgeable, kind, and very approachable, if he didn’t have the answer to your question right away he would do his research and give you the information you asked for in a timely manner. At this time we would like to graciously thank “Kentaro” and his boss “Penny” for her help and understanding for the birthday present that my wife received, from the bottom of our hearts Thank you both for the wonderful gift.   The trip was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we would have enjoyed it even more if a tour guide had accompanied us during visits to the museums and other attractions, rather than simply dropping us off and waiting outside. We appreciated the explanations provided on the bus before arriving at each attraction. However, after long travel, many people tend to become tired, and some may even fall asleep, as I occasionally did. As a result, it was easy to forget some of the information by the time we reached the attraction. Having a guide accompany us inside and provide explanations during the visit would have greatly enhanced the experience. Other than that, everything was just great and Ken was very nice.Show more

  We enjoyed the tour. The guide was good, but the itinerary was such that each day included a lot of bus time with multiple stops. When we reached the attractions, there was very little time to explore. We were particularly disappointed with the optional trip to Hiroshima. When wr finally got there, after other stops, we hardly had time to properly go through the Peace Museum, and there was no time to peruse the surrounding grounds. Given this optional tour was quite costly, it did not come close to meeting our expectations.Show more
