We had also some own free time where we could choose what we wanted to do, which was a great opportunity depending on each and everyone's interests. Guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English. The size of the group was ok and I met many lovely people. Her insights gave context to a lot of the sights and attractions I would’ve tried to see myself, so I feel that was really valuable. The hotels were all fairly nice (the last of which being an apartment hotel which was so cool!), and our bus driver was also great and accommodating. I stayed additional days after the tour, and Yuka recommended some spots for me to visit as well. Evry day was packed with activites. The tour guide, yuka, is amazing. She bent over backwards to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. She is very knowledgeable & personable. The bus driver, maeda, is very good at what he does. It was a great introduction to japan. - KSKarla· November 13th, 2025First time to Japan. What a great country! Super clean, safe, nice people, food galore. Had a very nice tour guide who shared a lot about the culture. There were different cool experiences- the onsen, gold leaf workshop, udon noodle class. I took all the optional tours except the Maiko one because it was too expensive just to try to talk to someone that may barely speak English; actually, nobody signed up for that one. The bus was great - new, clean. Excellent driver. The guide asked people to change seats daily. Tours started on time daily. Had full days. Hotels were good; tourist class, very clean. Included breakfasts were good - Buffett with eastern and western foods. While walking around had to make sure to stay close to the guide to hear the information. Someone in the tour mentioned that she had taken a tour in Europe where everyone got a walkie talkie so they could all hear what the guide said. Something like this may have been good. But if one kept up there was no big issue. I had a great time, learned a lot, tried many new foods, and made some friends. The group had 26 people - I would have preferred smaller, but was really glad it wasn’t any bigger. I would definitely recommend this tour. Out guide Judy went above and beyond to help people. We don't have airport transfers but the first night hotel usually have free airport shuttle bus. When the tour finishes you will need to arrange your own transportation.

Asked on October 27th, 2025I am confused about the first and last days. My guess is that I just need to arrive day one and transportation to the hotel will be provided. How will you know when I am arriving? For the last day it says that there are several ways to get to the airport. Shuttle bus, train or taxi. Generally speaking the shuttle bus would be included from the hotel at no cost. Is this something different? Day one says to board the shuttle bus to the hotel and does not mention a cost. Does the hotel offer a shuttle bus to the airport? Is it advisable to carry cash or is credit card acceptible everywhere? Is cash required for the side excursions or can they be paid with credit card or even in advance?

The first day is designed for guests to check into the hotel and the hotel usually have a shuttle for free. The last day is for you to get to the airport on your own. Visa/mastercard are okay for side tours. But we do suggest bringing some cash for personal expenses.
