  Location of hotels too far from attractions. Some hotels, including last 4 star in New Delhi , very noisy and poorly equipped eg no hair dryer or window! Most hotels had very limited western food choices. Distances from hotels meant Driver not keen to return to main areas for shopping or further photography even though l had an extra day in several locations. Drivers had poor English and did not prepare well for each days drive or itinerary eg 3 nights in Jodhpur and l did not get to clock tower market as it was closed on Sunday. I should have been taken on either of the other days. Driver was reluctant to start earlier than he wanted which meant arriving at sites well after the opened and were , by then, very crowded. He did however stop when asked, as we were going from city to city for photo shots. The guides were very good at helping me to manage difficult steps and adjusting sites to accomodate my fitness level. In spite of these issues l did enjoy the experience!Show more

Each destination we visited was truly unforgettable. My driver, Amar Meena, was exceptional—always attentive, professional, and made me feel completely safe. There’s quite a bit of travel involved on this tour, but every moment is worth it. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable trip.Show more

  A wonderful experience, highly recommended. Swastik administration are excellent: timely, professional, on point and always helpful, We cannot over-thank our two drivers: Mr Pradeep Singh and Mr Mahendra Rao. Firstly and most importantly both were super safe and courteous drivers with GPS level local knowledge. Both went way above to provide us with the best experiences of India, always thinking of us and taking care to ensure our safey and enjoyment. Vehicles were well maintained and always clean with water and stops at appropriate intervals. Agra excepted, the guides were very well informed, personable and good company. We learned so much of Indian history, culture, architecture and the different religions. The hotels and overnight accomodation were varied and generally of a good standard. Always and everywhere the hotel staff and management worked diligently to optimise our stays. Sardargarh was a particular highlight. Any trip to India will always be a compromise based on time. There is so much to see and learn. Distances are substantial and road travel takes significant time (even by Australian standards) as the standard of the roads varied from 4 lane freeway to dirt track. Plenty of "Indian road massages". Its frustrating to pass close by amazing sites but not stop: the Nathdwara Statue of Belief and Fatehpur Sikri for two. Next time!Show more

  I traveled to India for a wedding and then wanted to spend a couple weeks exploring Rajasthan. Feedback is based on being a solo female traveler. Itinerary - I booked Swastik India Journeys’ 11-Day “Taj Mahal and Wildlife with Royal Stay at Castles” and it was a blast! It had the perfect blend of big cities, small towns, and nature. I rode in boats, on trains, in cars, and on elephants. Driver - Pradeep Singh was my driver the entire time and he was absolutely amazing. Besides being a patient and safe driver, he also shared fascinating details about history and daily life in India, smoothed out itinerary glitches, knew the best times to visit busy tourist spots, was quick to stop for chai breaks, and any shopping needs. He helped me get money at ATMs, arranged laundry service, tweaked schedules and rooming so I could enjoy local events over the new year. He made it a flawless tour of Rajasthan. Hotels - This tour had such a fun variety of hotels. Highlights included Fort Chanwa in Luni (shout out to Babu Lal and his family for a charming tea in their home), the magnificent Deogarh Mahal palace where I enjoyed some pool time and wandering around the village, and glamping at the Jungle Cave Resort after the safari, which was so unique. Each of these places had entertainment in the evening with campfires, singing, and dancing. Tour Guides - In each city I had a guide native to the area explain the local attractions and the history behind them. Special shout outs to Prem in Jaipur (knew where to get all the best photos inside the Amber Fort and the City Palace) and Amrit in Agra. Amrit’s telling of the story behind the Taj Mahal literally brought tears to my eyes. He really brought the saga to life! Activities - I got to do so many exciting things on this tour! Some of the highlights were the jeep safari in Ranthambore National Patk (spotted tons of animals!), dangled off the train from one of my favorite Bollywood numbers (‘Chaiyya, Chaiyya’ from Dil Se), and rode an elephant in Jaipur. Shopping - I went to India with a specific shopping list of treasures I wanted to bring home. Everything from nicer items like jewelry and bedding sets, down to fun bangles and candies from the local grocery store. Between Pradeep and the local guides, I got everything on my list and they’re all gorgeous. I did have the fine jewelry (diamonds, rubies, emeralds, gold, and silver) appraised when I came home. They were all authentic, valued higher than what I paid for them, and the appraiser was impressed by the craftsmanship and uniqueness. I really appreciate the trustworthiness, knowledge, and kindness of the entire team. Booking was easy and Karni in the main office was quick to respond to any questions I had. Five star experience all around!Show more

  Solo traveller from Canada, 59 years old. My goal for this trip was simple: to see as much of Rajasthan as possible within the time I had. India, with its spirituality, deep history, and vibrant culture, exceeded every expectation. Each of the nine places I visited offered something breathtaking. From India Gate, Qutub Minar, and Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi, to the City Palace and Palace of Winds in Jaipur, to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort in the blue city of Jodhpur. Udaipur’s palaces and the Garden of the Maids were equally enchanting. And of course, the journey culminated with Agra and the Taj Mahal, a place so majestic it almost defies description. The stays in two historic castles were a highlight of their own. Coming from Canada, the experience felt almost otherworldly: the quietness, the beauty, the sense of history, and the lively villages just outside the castle walls created a setting that was both peaceful and immersive. Ranthambore National Park was the one part that left me slightly disappointed. I had hoped to see a tiger in its natural habitat, but luck wasn’t on my side this time. Perhaps others will have a different experience. The long drives between destinations might be considered a drawback for some, but I found them to be an unexpected gift. They allowed me to see more of the countryside, pass through countless villages, observe daily life, and even visit temples and forts that weren’t part of the original itinerary. A special mention must go to my driver, Mr. Vishnu Singh Shekhawat. He was exceptional: quiet, personable, punctual, and highly skilled. Indian traffic is something one must experience to truly appreciate the value of a calm, attentive, and experienced driver. Vishnu navigated everything with ease and always made sure I felt safe. He also shared insights about local customs and offered helpful advice for social situations. One small but memorable gesture: on the early-morning safari in Ranthambore, he insisted I take a blanket. I didn’t think I’d need it, but once we reached the misty park, I was very grateful. Communication with Swastik India Journeys, the tour organizer, was smooth and reliable throughout. Overall, this was a very good tour, rich in history, full of unforgettable sites, and deeply educational. I returned home with a greater appreciation for India and its incredible heritage.Show more

  We had an excellent experience with our private driver, Armar, during our 10-day tour of Rajasthan in February. He was always punctual, very friendly, and extremely informative, sharing great insights along the way. The car was spotless and comfortable, he helped with our bags at every stop, and he consistently took us to some fantastic places to eat during our journey.
