  Our tour with Swastik was absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. I worked with Karni to personalize our tour and add on a further day to include Jhalana Leopard safari before booking. Along the way we also added on extra activities and Karni was really helpful and quick to respond to our requests. During our 15 day tour we had Mahi as our driver who was really excellent. He had great English and looked after us at all times, above and beyond what we expected of a driver. We always felt safe, which is an important factor when 2 females are travelling in a country they are unfamiliar with. We learnt so much from him on our car rides between locations. He was always punctual, respectful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants etc. Ask for Mahi as your driver, you won't be disappointed. At each new location we also had private guides that were friendly and professional and full of knowledge about the places we were visiting. This really enhanced our trip. The pace of the tour was perfect as we went out early for the activities and had the afternoons to chill and relax and their was some flexibility around this. The quality of the hotels were very good and we upgraded some of them to 4 stars. I would definitely recommend this travel company and look forward to travelling with them again in the future. Our introduction to India was more than we could ever have imagined and I can't stop talking about the wonderful time we have just had. If you are hesitating, stop now and JUST BOOK!!!Show more

  Overall, an excellent whistle stop tour seeing the major sights in Rajasthan, Delhi and Agra. Our driver, Vishnu Singh Sekhawat was excellent- 5 stars! He was friendly, punctual, a very competent driver despite the challenges of Indian city and rural driving and we felt very safe with him. He was attentive to our needs, always checking we were comfortable and ready with a bottle of cold water just when we needed it, as well as giving lots of very useful information about the region. We really enjoyed the palaces, forts and other interesting sights. We chose to upgrade to 4 star hotels but were disappointed by the location (in the outskirts) and quality of hotels in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. Having a hotel with character, based in or very close to the old town would be much more preferable in our opinion so that when there was leisure time it would have been easy to explore the places further. Having said that, when we requested to swap hotel after a disappointing experience at arrival in one place, Karni, Vishnu and the team were very responsive and sorted it out very quickly and efficiently which we appreciated. Whilst it was very hot ( April/May) this didn’t detract and in fact was beneficial as there were far fewer crowds and we never had to queue for admission to the attractions. The day guides for each of the places were all friendly and very knowledgeable. We loved the trip overall. Thanks!Show more

What made the experience even better was my driver Pradeep he was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He made me feel safe and added great insights throughout the journey.   I have to inform you ,it was my 1st visit to 🇮🇳 & l have now Toured /Visited 82 🌍 Countries. l had my reservations about the Tour beforehand but Mahi (Driver) put my mind at ease from the 1st Day. Mari is an Excellent Driver (l believed we covered over +3000kms on the Tour) but Mahi is also a font of Knowledge & lnfo. Mahi would make an Excellent Driver/Guide. Mahi made My Tour V/Enjoyable & l will return to the UK 🇬🇧 with Great Memories of My 🇮🇳 Tour & hopefully a Friendship with Mahi for Life, he treated me like a King 🤴, very apt as the Tour included the words Royal & Castles 🏰 😉. “Health & Happiness = Happy Life “ Derek (the🤴) *That was how l was Treated 😊*Show more

  So this is a difficult tour to rate. I have given 5*, because ultimately I really enjoyed the experience and it was due to my driver modifying the itinerary along the way. However, it wasn’t without issues. I knew before going that it was basically a private tour, however I wasn’t expecting quite so much downtime. I expected long travel days 4-5 hrs, but at one point became frustrated that I was virtually just going from hotel to hotel, without a lot of sightseeing/activities. Once I expressed this to my driver, he then arranged side tours along the way, which turned the whole trip around for me. Temples, a train ride, stepwells, small guided tours, which I was happy to pay a little extra for. Many of the actual ‘inclusions’ simply didn’t happen. The train ride/activities at Deogarh Mahal was not included because I was staying at Sardargarh (some distance away) instead, which had no inclusions. Instead I opted to pay extra (2000 INR) to be taken an hour away to do those activities. Similarly, there was no safari or cultural activities at Castle Bijaipur as stated in my final paperwork. Although a beautiful property, I actually wouldn’t include Castle Bijaipur on the itinerary. It is very remote (nothing to do, other than visit a small village) and it was difficult to get assistance from the staff. Again the bedroom was charming and character-filled, but impractical & uncomfortable. Extremely hard bed, a/c broken, very dark inside. Most of the accommodations were lovely heritage style properties, however they all showed signs of needing maintenance eg dampness, sheets worn through etc, so if this is an issue for you, consider upgrading to 4* or 5*. Most rooms did not come with a bar fridge and cleanliness/hygiene standards are definitely different to western hotel standards. This did not bother me too much, but may some people. Most hotels have a boiler system in the bathrooms that need to be turned on 15mins before using, so be sure to ask how to turn it on if you can’t get hot water. All in all, I loved the whole experience and felt completely safe travelling as a solo woman and was happy to head out at night in a tuk tuk or uber to dinner or sightsee. Many thanks to my wonderful driver, Ranveer who understood I was needing a bit more activity during the days, advised me along the way and who also ensured I was looked after when I fell ill in the last days. He assisted me in getting to a hospital, waited the few hours I was there and arranged for me to have access to a hotel near the airport for 4-5 hrs to rest before my late night flight. He was always gracious, professional, conscientious and is the main reason my rating is a 5*.Show more

  Good value. Hotels could be a bit more "iconic". Our driver took us to his village to his house, and then asked for money for his children. You will need to make it very clear what YOU wish to do, inc. avoiding the "cottage industries" they want to take you to. Bought a ring at one, and upon trip return . . .found out it was a fake.   Our Taj Mahal & Rajasthan with Royal stay at castles was provided by Swastic India Journeys' This was an enlightening, thrilling trip and experience! The trip was well-paced and planned. The tour was an excellent way to experience a large part of India in a short amount of time. It showed us an India that was beautiful, advanced and kinder than we expected. The itinerary was superb in allowing us to see the most recognized sites in 14 days. The guides at each site were experts in being able to explain the histories and stories of each place, Our driver Mahendra Rao, was an excellent driver in the crazy and chaotic traffic of India He was professional and always able when needed. He worked tirelessly to ensure we felt safe and well cared for all the time. We're deeply grateful for Mahendra Rao's commitment and kindness. The sites that were included were breathtaking and very well planned. The hotel were very good overall. While a couple were located a bit farther from the city centers than we would have preferred, others were stunning historic castle properties that added a unique and memorable touch to the experience.
