  Our tour guides were true experts; they both knew how to give just enough insight to the group to hold attention, how much to say and then let us explore alone, and could answer all questions. Ahmed was particularly good, very friendly and supportive and a great teacher. When my son lost his bag Ahmed arranged for it to be brought all the way from Luxor to Hurghada for us. Shout out also to Bob who put us safely on the sleeper train. Dont miss the balloon ride and be prepared for everything in Egypt to exceed your expectations. It was magical.Show more

  We really enjoyed the Tour. At no time did we feel isolated or "unchaperoned ". Met at Cairo airport and taken by car to the Swiss Inn Golf Resort which was fantastic, beautiful modern room and slept well, Breakfast was superb, Left and commenced the sightseeing part of the trip, that first day in Egypt was brilliant, Visited the Pyramids and the G.E.M and all its 100,000 treasures, Sleeper train to Aswan was great too, escorted throughout to the train, then private room and meal and then slept in our bunk beds.The Nile cruise boat was Beau Rivage and was excellent, room really large with opening window to see the Nile as it slipped past. The food was also really good and the soft drinks we bought were not expensive. Abu Simble temple trip was a very early start but worth it. Again well escorted. Our main guide throughout the tour was Hossan who certainly knew his Egyptology inside out, Gave the right level of information to avoid overload. All other parts of the tour was also really good, the Valley of the kings was awesome. The tour ended with a stay in Hurghad at the Iberotel Casa Del Mar, all inclusive resort. We added an extra 4 nights to extend our stay. `the hotel was first rate, exceptionally clean with brilliant food, Staff were very efficient and and our room was large with a beautiful view of the pool. All in all we are so glad we did this trip and chose Tourradar. We had held back going to Egypt for safety concerns but never once felt vulnerable, intimidated or even uncomfortable.Show more

  From someone who was scared to travel to egypt because of safety issues regarding the war , and as a solo women traveler i can rest assure you egypt is super safe and an amazing experience . holiday inn tours was great with being on top of things and especially our tour guide in aswan Ahmed Kassem was the most organized , he dedicated his time and such high efforts to our group making it top priority . We appreciated him so much . He made sure all of our needs were met and any problems were taken care of right away. This tour was a great experience. The train trip to Aswan is an experience straight from shabby 1960, last maintenance of the carriages. Never worried about safety. Food was excellent. Great guide Ahmed Kasim. Pretty crowded everywhere. Relaxing time at Hurghrada.Show more

  We loved our trip to Egypt, it was the perfect trip to tick off some world class sights from our bucket list - Great itinerary - world class sights, awe-inspiring, Pyramids, GEM, Nile cruise and Valley of the Kings were our highlights - worth upgrading to the flight to Aswan though prepare for a very early wake up call! - packed a lot in - Red Sea perfect for relaxing after busy days and early starts - Our tour guides were fantastic - Abdul and Tamer - Being in a group protected us from scammers and the worst of the hassling - Don’t expect western standard of 5 stars but for the price I thought the quality of accommodation and food was good and better than expected, lovely spacious rooms and comfy beds Cons: - would have loved earlier notice of where we were staying - even a few days in advance would have been fine but sometimes we weren’t told at all. This is particularly an issue for the Hurghada part of the trip as we wanted to arrange excursions but didn’t know where we were staying. We ended up in Sahl Hasheesh which is lovely but 40 mins from Hurghada so we had to pay more for pick up from our hotel for a boat trip.Show more

  We did the tour in Egypt in April. The tour started in Cairo, guided by Abdul. He gave us a good guided tour of the Pyramids of Giza and led us through the main highlights of the New Museum. The Helnan Hotel was also highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help if you had a question. The buffet was good and extensive. The only downside was that there was loud music from the amusement park next door after 10 a.m., but since we were always on excursions, it didn't bother us too much. We chose the flight to Aswan, and this also went very smoothly. We were picked up at the hotel and were able to check in right away. The Nile cruise was also very good. Tamer was our guide here. He guided us excellently to all the temples and gave a clear, concise explanation of what there was to see. Every morning we also received a clear description of what we were going to visit that day and at what time we were expected somewhere. Top guide! On the boat, the staff here were also very friendly and always ready to help. In the evenings, several activities/shows were also provided. The buffet here was also very extensive and tasty. After the Nile cruise, we had booked a few extra days in Hurghada. When we arrived here, we were not given the hotel that was mentioned at the beginning of the tour. Normally, we would have been given Iberotel Casa del Mar, closer to the center of Hurghada, but we were given Old Palace in Sahl Haseesh. That is more than a half-hour drive from Hurghada and cost 40 euros by taxi. We were only told this when they dropped us off there with our luggage. This was not passed on to us by Mohamed from Tourradar during the first briefing. According to him, this was an upgrade, but we were not at all satisfied with this hotel. We stayed here because there was supposedly no room at the other hotel. But we also compared the reviews of the other hotel, and that one was more expensive and had a better score. So they are probably using this hotel to save costs. The staff here were not very friendly. When you went to eat, you literally had to search for cutlery or a clean table. If you asked for a drink, you had to wait fifteen minutes. The food, however, was tasty and plentiful. We had a fantastic time in Egypt. But just be honest about the hotels you are going to get.
