Every part of the tour went to schedule. The transfers on time. The itinerary gave an excellent view of Jordan past and present. Tge tour guide known simply as "G" was fantastic. His knowledge was great, he was empathetic to all participants and helped people if they were struggling. The hotels were good standard. My only negative at PETRA I would have preferred if you had the option to prepay and had a choice to use Golf cart from the entry to the foot of the monastery. One couple paid quite a bit for the buggy as you don't have a choice. I too paid for horse and also donkey to take to top of monastery but once again you are left to negotiate. On the Go could have all those costs as optional and alleviate stress as its a tough climb. As previously mentioned the visa situation could be clarified in your booking form as it is at times contradictory. All in all ON THE GO TOURS did everything as outlined in tour itinerary.

We had a nearly perfect tour of Jordan purchased through Tour Radar. It was advertised that there would be a tour size of 10-15 people, but when we arrived at the airport and met the tour guide we were informed that it would in fact be a private tour with just my husband, myself, and the tour guide! So we had a very personalized itinerary and lots of attention. Plenty of space in the van, and we got to have one on one conversations the whole week and learn so much from our guide. He was the consummate professional, meeting us in our hotel lobby every morning. He gave wonderful recommendations throughout the trip. The itinerary was perfect - not too much per day, nor too little, but perfect action-filled days including every major attraction we could think of in Jordan. We felt perfectly safe the entire trip, too. This was my first tour booked through Tour Radar, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend them. I will definitely book through them again, based on this experience.

The itinerary was very well designed and well thought by G Adventurers. Our guide Reem was very knowledgeable and engaging guide with clear communication and great balance of planned activities. We had many memorable moments and lots of laughs. She was great when choosing the best spots for lunch and local food restaurants for dinner. Our driver Rashid was very professional.

What our customers ask about Jordan Guided Tours & Trips
What type of accommodation can I expect on a fully guided Jordan tour?
Guided tours in Jordan provide a mix of modern hotels and authentic desert accommodations. In Amman travelers stay in 4-star properties like the Mena Tyche Hotel while Petra offers views of ancient ruins from places like the Petra Guest House. The experience often includes an unforgettable night in Wadi Rum's Bedouin camps such as the Sun City Camp known for its distinctive "Martian dome" tents. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The hotels were all of a great standard my particular favourite was the hotel at Petra and the zarb at Wadi Rum was so delicious."
When is the best time to take a guided tour in Jordan?
Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) offer ideal conditions for exploring Jordan. During these months temperatures stay moderate enough for comfortable sightseeing. Summer brings intense heat especially around Petra and Wadi Rum while winter temperatures can drop significantly in Amman and desert areas at night. A TourRadar traveler noted: "We went in April and had perfect weather - warm enough to enjoy the Dead Sea but not too hot for hiking in Petra. The wildflowers were blooming in the Dana Biosphere Reserve."
What meals are typically included in fully guided Jordan tours?
Tour packages generally cover hotel breakfasts select local restaurant lunches and distinctive dining experiences like Bedouin feasts in Wadi Rum. The traditional zarb dinner where meat and vegetables are cooked underground is a common highlight at desert camps. A traveler shared: "The food was fantastic from fresh local organic produce at farm-to-table lunches to authentic Jordanian flavors at the Ammarin Bedouin camp." Many itineraries include hands-on cooking classes at venues like the Petra Kitchen or meals with local families.
How strenuous is the walking and activity level on guided tours?
Jordan tours generally require moderate physical activity. Visitors should be ready for 2-3 hour walks on uneven ground in Petra climbing steps to viewpoints and optional challenges like the 800-step climb to the Monastery. Wadi Rum walks cover flat but sandy terrain. One traveler noted "You don't need to be super fit but comfortable walking in heat and on uneven ground is important." Guides adjust activities to match group abilities and provide alternatives when needed.
What is the typical group size on fully guided Jordan tours?
Most tours accommodate 8-16 participants creating a balance between personal guide attention and group dynamics. Select premium tours may limit groups to 6-8 people. A TourRadar traveler noted: "Our group of 12 was perfect - small enough for individual attention but large enough to make new friends. The guide could easily manage everyone's needs and keep us on schedule."
