  • S

    Sherry

    Asked on January 9th, 2026

On the description it advises 'High Intensity Travelers should be in very good physical condition and expect continuous demanding activities' What type of traveller do you think this is best for ? Would it be possible and enough time for someone to build their fitness levels in 3 months for someone who doesn't normally do hiking ? Or is more aimed for seasoned hikers and mountaineer type people ?

    Tour Details
    • Experience JordanOperatorWritten January 2026

Please note that this is a 5-day trek with each day covering 14-17+ kilometers (8.5-10.5+ miles). That is five days in a row with 5-7 hour hikes. So you should be reasonably fit to be able to enjoy this hike. However, if you would like to skip some challenging sections, it can be arranged vis transfers.

    • Experience JordanOperatorWritten October 2024

We recommend you buy the Jordan Pass, the combined ticket that includes your tourist visa and entrance fees to most tourist sites. It's the cheapest and easiest option for traveling around Jordan.

During the hike you need to carry just your daypack with your essentials. Your main luggage will be transferred from one campsite to another by our Bedouin crew and you will have access to it every evening. The hotel in Amman has a store where you can leave your extra luggage and get it when you are back from the trip.
