Yes, there is an overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Departure is usually in the evening between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM with exact time confirmed closer to travel date. First class sleeper train with private cabin for your group allocation, air conditioned cabins with two beds per cabin, clean private washbasin inside the cabin, and shared restroom at the end of each carriage. Dinner served after departure, breakfast served before arrival, bedding provided, attendant available overnight, and luggage stays with you in the cabin. Arrival in Aswan early morning with team meeting you at the station and direct transfer to the Nile cruise. Domestic flight upgrade from Cairo to Aswan can be arranged as optional and subject to availability.

Can we make sure we have a private cabin (for us 3)? we don't want to be with strangers.

Regarding the sleeper train: sleeper cabins are available as either single or double cabins only. For a group of 3 adults, we can arrange two adjacent cabins that are connected internally, so you will have a fully private setup just for the three of you, with no strangers. There is an additional cost of USD 50 total per way to cover reserving the two private cabins exclusively for your group.

For the Queen Cleopatra – 7 Days tour, we recommend arriving in Cairo at least on the first day the tour starts or one day before to allow time for your airport pickup and smooth transfer to your hotel. We will provide you with the exact flight details once your booking is confirmed, including the recommended arrival time so you don't miss any part of the tour.

Your options are: Share a cabin with another guest, or Pay an additional 50 USD to have 2 separate cabins (double + single). On the Nile cruise, a double room with an extra bed can be provided for your.

We shared all this feedback with the tour coordinator on Whatsapp. First the Pros: 1. Price was the tour with discount on TourRadar was good 2. Hotel in Cairo, even though far from the airport, was great 3. River Cruise boat was great and we had a good time for those 3 nights 4. Tour guide for Aswan and Luxor, Hassan, was awesome Now the cons that severely hampered our experience 1. we repeated asked for booking details of boat and flights but did not get those till 1-2 days before boarding boat and flight respectively 2. They dont make the bookings in advance, even though we paid for your 3 months in advance 3. our group was spread out in different areas of train and boat cruise, even though we repeatedly asked to be together 4. On the first morning, we were 2 hours delayed in the morning. the guide simply did not show up for 2 hours. Because of that’s we lost time to see Pyramids which is the main attraction for anyone visiting Eygpt. The tour guide mentioned that he was late because he was informed of the tour assignment the night before 5. lost another 2 hours waiting for camel ride. and after that the camel ride was just 100-200 meters 6. the train reservations were poorly organized. We are not even in same train coach. Every family is in a different coach. If the tickets were booked more than 2 days in advance, this would not have been the case. 7. - Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 15% is required to confirm your booking with Holiday In Egypt. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Holiday In Egypt will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Holiday In Egypt" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Holiday In Egypt. Please familiarize yourself with the Holiday In Egypt payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
