He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with over several days.
He did a great job explaining the history and significance of everything we visited in a way that was interesting and easy to understand, rather than just reciting facts. I could ask him questions about the sites, Egyptian history, and life in Egypt, and he was always happy to explain things or have a conversation.
Hossam also made the entire experience feel easy and relaxed. He was dependable, helpful, and gave me plenty of time to explore without ever making the trip feel rushed.
By the end of the cruise, it felt much more like traveling around Egypt with someone I knew than simply being taken around by a tour guide. Hossam was a big part of why the Nile cruise was one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone visiting Aswan, Luxor, or traveling along the Nile.
Hossam was such a welcome relief after Cairo and a very dull Giza guide. What a difference a sense of humour and personality can make to an experience.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic 7-day Queen Cleopatra vacation, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The experience was truly unforgettable, especially as I celebrated my 50th birthday on this amazing journey.
Hossam Rashwan, our guide, was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable, enriching our experience with fascinating insights about the history and culture of Egypt. What truly stood out was the genuine care he showed towards my autistic adult son. He went above and beyond to ensure that my son felt comfortable and included, which made this trip even more special.

May I suggest that in the future the costs of drinking water and bathroom visits be covered by the tour company. Charge more upfront in the tour costs if necessary to do so. We’d have much preferred that.
Also, the Hurghada portion of our tour was highly impractical (if not impossible) to achieve and still make our flight back home given its distance from Luxor and Cairo. If our guide had not alerted us to the complexities we were facing to make that portion of the tour happen, we’d have been stuck in Egypt extra days beyond our tour dates. We are very thankful our tour guide, Hossam Rashwan, not only alerted us, but he helped us immensely by making arrangements for us to spend our last two nights at the Jolie Ville Resort & Spa, arranging our transportation to the Luxor airport and our flight from Luxor to Cairo at no extra cost to us.
This was truly the most incredible adventure of my life. Holidays in Egypt did an excellent job in providing an excellent itinerary including all the must see locations in Egypt.

A huge shout out to our guide Hossam Rashwan who did an AMAZING job in keeping our group of 19 that included two children, happy, satisfied and safe on our travels. Hossam Rashwan, a.k.a Sam the Magic Man was the absolute best guide anyone could ask for. His vast knowledge of history and enthusiasm to share the magical wonders of his country kept us well informed and entertained throughout. We will miss you Hossam, and look forward to seeing you again.
Our fellow travelers were fabulous and I feel some lifelong connections were made on this trip.

I cannot emphasise enough how incredible this experience was. A wonderful exploration of the captivating Egyptian culture over just 5 days. The facilities aboard the cruise ship, the staff, and the cuisine were all excellent. However, the real highlight of the trip was our guide, Hossam Rashwan, who was outstanding from the moment we met him. His extensive knowledge of ancient Egyptian culture and the evident passion he showed while explaining it to us made the experience truly memorable. He was always welcoming and attentive; it never felt like just a job to him, but rather that we were part of his family. A dedicated professional and, most importantly, a remarkable person. I am truly grateful to him and the rest of the team for organising what I am sure will be an unforgettable trip.

The cruise was part of a 9 days stay, and I have to say that it was as good as visiting the pyramids. The food and the service was outstanding and the room exceeded my expectations.
Special mention to our guide Hosam Rashwan who took care of us during our stay. If you are lucky enough to have him he will share all his knowledge about the Egyptian civilization and culture, I really hope to come back and explore other places he recommended.

You will not be left wanting after a tour with Hossam Rashwan as your guide. No matter if you are as far south as the unique temple of Ramses II, Abu Simbel, the beautiful island temple of Philae or learning the wonderful tales of mythology carved into Edfu temple. Every sight along the Nile is worth the visit no matter what, but having a great guide is the difference between a beautiful sight and a wonderful experience. Hossam is a great guide and a wonderful individual, if you wish to not just have a history lesson about antiquity he will also very gladly introduce you to the world of modern Upper Egypt!

From pyramids, to camel rides, to Nile river cruising, the week was packed with such a variety of activities, creating lots of wonderful memories. The tour guides were exceptional: personable and knowledgeable. The accommodations and meals were all first class. A surprise for us was that Holidays in Egypt was able to dispel all of the common negative issues, making this a truly carefree holiday for us: 1) we felt totally safe and were never abandoned -- as we were 'chaperoned' all the way; 2) all the food and meals were safe and top quality, we never got sick or worried about selective eating, and 3) we were well protected from pushy vendors, and all tipping was handled by Holiday in Egypt, so no worries there.
A big thanks to Holiday in Egypt for creating and hosting such a wonderful vacation.

From the very beginning, Hossam was personable, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about Egypt’s history, culture, and ancient sites. He has a way of sharing information that is engaging and interesting without ever making it feel overwhelming.
What stood out just as much as his knowledge was his great energy and genuine Egyptian hospitality. Hossam made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the entire journey. He was always communicative, organized, approachable, and happy to answer questions or help with anything we needed.
You can tell that Hossam genuinely enjoys sharing his country and its incredible history with visitors. By the end of the cruise, he felt less like simply our tour guide and more like a friend showing us the best of Egypt.
I would absolutely recommend Hossam and Holiday in Egypt to anyone considering a Nile River cruise or tour of Egypt. Thank you, Hossam, for helping make our trip such a memorable experience. The tour is fast-paced and we came already exhausted from Cairo but everything we visited was absolutely worth it. The cruise itself too was very nice, beautiful view of the Nile and surrounding oases with a backdrop of desert hills.

The ship was okay, the crew was very nice, but I have to deduct points for the wait at the lock, where we were held up for so long that the tour to Luxor Temple planned for the evening had to be postponed to the next day, which of course greatly shortened our sightseeing time. Our guide, Hossam, did everything he could to ensure we still had an unforgettable experience.
He kept us informed in advance, sent us photos, and was extremely professional.
Our guide in Cairo, Sohila, was absolutely wonderful. She guided us so skillfully through the GEM that we felt we’d really seen everything in detail, even though you could certainly spend a good two days in this impressive building.
All in all, a very impressive trip—though the ship itself shouldn’t be marketed as a 5-star ship.

We booked through Tour Radar a week before the tour was scheduled to depart because the price and itinerary seemed too good to be true. Overall, it was even better than we expected! Mohamed was in contact the minute we booked, and provided general information in preparation for our trip. Our small group tour ended up just being the two of us, which was a serious benefit in booking in August. Any question was answered by Mohamed or the team on the same day, and once the tour commenced, we were treated like VIPs by drivers, egyptologists, and every person who works for Holiday in Egypt. Our guide for the Pyramids of Giza, Abdulrahman, was absolutely fantastic. He was punctual, organised and let us revisit some of the areas once the fog had cleared so we could get better photographs. At the Grand Egyptian Museum, he moved us through the most important sections first and helped beat the crowds, so we could enjoy the exhibits properly. Bod stayed with us until we boarded the overnight train to Aswan, which reduced a lot of the stress from being in such a busy station where signage was very limited. Once we arrived in Aswan, we spent four days with Hossam Rashwan who was our guide for Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor. He was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and kept us on our toes with remembering particular information as each temple was more impressive than the last. We are so glad we went with Holidays in Egypt and had the best experience of this most wonderful country!

In many intances we have told we have paid the advance tips to the tour agent Holiday in Eygpt to be given by them however all of them denied having received any tips from the tour agent. It a sad story , however I hope tour radar should stop this problem by dictating collection of advance tips should be stopped.

We did all the extras and all were great but the balloon flight and Abu Simbel were wonderful and worth the early wake up call. Ship is very nicely renovated and food is excellent. For me especially, as I am vegan, every single meal was presented and I always had options to choose from. The only thing that was not perfect were the breakfast boxes but missing a meal really didn’t hurt anyone 🫣. Ship’s crew works tirelessly and are extremely nice to all guests. We did not participate in ship evening entertainment so I can’t comment on that. All transports were timely and comfortable and again very well organised by Hossam. Thank you

A huge shout out to our guide Hossam Rashwan who far exceeded our expectations. Hossam went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and safe! Sam was truly the magic man, constantly impressing us with his vast knowledge of all the sights we were visiting. Hossam is the best guide ever. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their guide.
Our group of travelers got along fabulously. Life-long friends were made. We will miss you all!

Our guide, Hossam Rashwan, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We have gone on many tours and Hossam is one of the best.
We couldn't recommend this tour enough. It is a great value for money and you feel safe and well looked after.
Of the extra optional excursions, Abu Simbel is a must. Yes, it's a very long journey and you don't get very much time there but it is nevertheless absolutely worth the trip.
