We're especially interested in: Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple. If that's above our budget, do you have an option for €200–220 per person including only the cruise and meals? Can excursions be booked separately? If so, what are the prices (including transport, guide, and entrance fees)? Are they optional, so we can stay on the cruise if we want?

Unfortunately, we do not operate a 3-day / 2-night Nile cruise. The shortest cruise we offer is 4 days / 3 nights from Aswan to Luxor. For this itinerary: Cruise accommodation, Full board meals, English-speaking Egyptologist guide, Sightseeing tours, Private transportation between visits. Please note that entrance fees and tipping are not included in the cruise price. The included sightseeing covers: Philae Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple. Abu Simbel is available as an optional excursion for USD 125 per person.

Could you tell me which cruise ships are typically used for this sailing? I understand you can't guarantee a specific vessel, but could you list the ships most commonly assigned?

Would a triple room normally use 3 normal single beds or 2 beds with a couch or cot for the 3rd person?

Do the cabins have air conditioning? Can guided visits be conducted in Spanish for an additional fee?

Yes, the entire Nile cruise ship is fully air-conditioned, including all cabins and the common areas. Our tours are normally operated with an English-speaking guide. If you prefer a Spanish-speaking guide, we can arrange one for you. Please note that this would make the tour private for your group only. The additional cost is €170 per day, for a total of €680 for the 4-day tour.

We are planning to book this tour but wanted to check the pricing for Abu Simbel and hot air ballon that are optional activities.

Can you please confirm the exact cruise ship for my departure date?

The exact cruise ship for the departure on 25 November 2026 has not yet been assigned. Cruise allocation is finalized closer to the travel date based on operational arrangements and availability. We use 5-star Nile cruise vessels of the same category and service standard. The confirmed cruise name will be shared with all travellers a few days before departure.

Could you please provide the current price for the domestic flight, if possible at this time?

We do have the same tour available with domestic flights included. The package includes: Flight from Cairo to Aswan at the beginning of the tour Flight from Luxor back to Cairo on the last day Pickup and drop-off from any location in Cairo

Does the price include the entry to all the sites? And what other amenities are on board?

Please note that entrance fees are not included in the tour price. The entrance fees are USD 100 per person and will be collected upon arrival. Tipping is also not included and is USD 8 per person per day. This amount is collected on arrival and covers the drivers and Nile cruise staff throughout the tour. Regarding the Nile cruise amenities, the cruise offers private cabins, a restaurant serving buffet meals, a sun deck, swimming pool, lounge areas, bar, and evening entertainment. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and private bathrooms.

He did a great job explaining the history and significance of everything we visited in a way that was interesting and easy to understand, rather than just reciting facts. I could ask him questions about the sites, Egyptian history, and life in Egypt, and he was always happy to explain things or have a conversation. Hossam also made the entire experience feel easy and relaxed. He was dependable, helpful, and gave me plenty of time to explore without ever making the trip feel rushed. By the end of the cruise, it felt much more like traveling around Egypt with someone I knew than simply being taken around by a tour guide. The tour was amazing. Overall it covered all the places and landmarks we wanted to see in Aswan and Luxor. The cruise was a great way along the Nile river for an experience. The cabin was very clean and spacious for two people. The bed was comfortable and shower was strong. The selections of food for lunch and dinner were really good. We weren’t expecting much considering its buffet but when we got there, we believe it was better than a lot of the restaurants we have eaten at. Everyday there was a selection of beef, fish and chicken cooked in different ways with really tasty soups to choose from. A huge variety of desserts and salads. We’re impressed with their food, only downside I would say if every drink was an extra charge. It would have been great if at least water was included during meal times. Every boat crew was really friendly and helpful to our requests. Our tour guide Ahmed was a star for our trip. He was very knowledgeable with history, always pointed out the highlights of each temple and gave us plenty of time to explore the temples at our own pace. He was so accommodating to our request. One of the days fell on our anniversary, my partner asked for a special meal outside the boat to celebrate our day and Ahmed had arranged everything beautifully for us. We are forever grateful for that. He was so caring and hospitable. The whole time throughout the tour we felt very safe and we thoroughly enjoyed everyday of the trip. We highly recommend this tour as it took care of us the day we arrived to the day we took off at the airport. Everything and everyday was easy and comfortable. Highly recommend.Show more

We find all the crews on board were very friendly and helpful. Our tour guide Ahmed was a star. He was very knowledgeable about history, showed us the highlights of every temple and gave us plenty of time to explore the places at our pace. The tour started in Aswan and slowly cruised to Luxor. We thoroughly enjoyed everyday of the tour as we got to see everything we wanted to see on our itinerary. Having a tour guide made a huge difference in ways that he could give us insight into a particular temple, its rich history and the highlight of each temple. Overall we feel Egypt is very safe, there were pushy street vendors here and there but if you politely ignore them, Egypt should be on your travel list and this tour is a go to.Show more

Yes, the entire Nile cruise ship is fully air-conditioned, including all cabins and the common areas. Our tours are normally operated with an English-speaking guide. If you prefer a Spanish-speaking guide, we can arrange one for you. Please note that this would make the tour private for your group only. The additional cost is €170 per day, for a total of €680 for the 4-day tour.

  We are arriving at Aswan Airport on November 13 at 3:00 PM. Can we still board and visit the Philae Temple in the afternoon?

  Unfortunately the Philae Temple won't be possible if your flight lands at 3:00 PM. The temple closes at 4:00 PM, and the ticket office closes at 3:30 PM. Even if your flight arrives on time, by the time you collect your luggage and leave the airport, the ticket office will already be closed. Any flight delay would make it even more difficult. I would highly recommend booking an earlier flight, ideally one arriving around 8:00 AM. Our group for the cruise will be arriving on that same morning flight, so you can join them from the start of the program.

  Yes, that's correct. The cruise ship is docked in Aswan for the entire first day, so you can board at any time during Day 1. The ship does not start sailing until Day 2. However, the guided visit to Philae Temple is scheduled in the morning, with the tour usually starting at around 10:00 AM. Our groups normally visit Philae Temple first, then return to the cruise for lunch. In the afternoon, there is an optional excursion to the Nubian Village. If you prefer to skip the Philae Temple visit, that's absolutely fine. You can arrive later in the day, and we'll arrange your check-in on board the cruise whenever you arrive on Day 1.

- For any tour departing before November 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 15% is required to confirm your booking with Holiday In Egypt. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
