Our sightseeing and transfers are arranged in a small group, and you can expect a group of around 10 travellers. This allows for a more comfortable and personal experience rather than travelling with a large group.

What is included in this price?

This package offers excellent value for money and is one of our best-selling programs. It also provides a more relaxed pace and more time to enjoy Egypt, as it includes a 5-day / 4-night Nile cruise, rather than our shorter 4-day cruise option. The tour includes: Round-trip domestic flights within Egypt, with approximately 1 hour of flight time each way. Guided visits to Egypt's major sightseeing sites, including the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and the magnificent temples and historical sites located between Luxor and Aswan. 4 nights / 5 days accommodation aboard one of our 5-star Nile cruise ships, on a full-board basis. All necessary transfers throughout the tour, including pickup and drop-off services. Professional Egyptologist tour guides accompanying you throughout the sightseeing. Not Included Entrance fees: $100 USD per person for all sightseeing included in the itinerary. These are excluded because the ticket prices are set by the Egyptian government and are paid at the entrances to the sites. The total for all required entrance fees is approximately $100 per person. Tips: $40 USD per person for the entire tour, covering the drivers and cruise ship crew. Optional excursions such as the Hot Air Balloon and Abu Simbel. Personal expenses. International flights between London and Cairo.

Can I customise this trip? I was planning on 2 days in Cairo before the cruise and then a week in Hurghada after the cruise, flying back to the UK from Hurghada. If this isn't possible could you give me the price of the cruise without the internal flights?

The tour includes round-trip domestic flights between Cairo and Luxor/Aswan, 4 nights on a 5-star Nile cruise with full-board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), guided visits to the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Abu Simbel is available as an optional excursion on the final day. The package also includes all airport and hotel transfers, professional English-speaking Egyptologist guides, and all transportation during the tour. We work with a selection of 5-star Nile cruise ships, and the confirmed cruise name will be shared before your arrival.

at what time does the cruise departure local time? since im arriving to the airport at noon.

As your flight arrives around noon, there will unfortunately not be enough time to join the tour on the first day. This tour begins early in the morning with the domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor, followed by sightseeing before boarding the Nile cruise in time for lunch. If you arrive in Cairo the day before the tour starts, we can arrange pre-tour accommodation and airport pickup so you can join the tour from the beginning without missing any of the included visits.

Does it start in Aswan or Luxor?

This tour starts and ends in Cairo. It includes domestic flights from Cairo to Luxor and from Aswan back to Cairo. The Nile cruise itself sails from Luxor to Aswan.

Can you please share what ship we will be boarding? Name please. What is the cost with or without flights? Also would like to include village, hot air balloon and light show would it be cheaper if booked ahead of time or on the spot?

The specific Nile cruise ship is assigned closer to your travel date based on availability. We work with a selection of 5-star Nile cruises, and the final cruise name will be confirmed approximately 2 days before your arrival. We offer this itinerary in two options: With domestic flights between Cairo and Luxor and Aswan and Cairo. Without domestic flights, using alternative transportation. Please let us know which option you prefer. Regarding the optional tours: Nubian Village: USD 50 per person Hot Air Balloon: USD 120 per person Karnak Sound & Light Show: available on request The prices are the same whether you book in advance or during the tour. However, we recommend booking the hot air balloon in advance as availability can be limited.

Is there an option for getting a tour of the pyramids before or after the cruise? also the new Egyptian Museum? Options for pre or post hotels?

Yes, absolutely. We can arrange a pre-tour visit to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) before your cruise. Since you're interested in the November 14, 2026 departure, the same group that will be joining the cruise will be touring the Pyramids and GEM in Cairo on Friday, so you can simply join them before the cruise begins. We can also arrange pre-tour accommodation at the same hotel we use in Cairo for a seamless start to your trip.

The food on board was excellent, with a good variety throughout the cruise. The accommodation was comfortable and well maintained. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained the history and stories behind each site very well, which made the visits much more interesting. Visiting the beautiful ancient temples along the Nile was definitely the highlight of the trip and an unforgettable experience. We decided to extend our trip and flew to Cairo for two days before the tour began. This was more than enough time to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the Pyramids of Giza, enjoy a camel ride, and explore Memphis and the Saqqara pyramids. We arranged this part of the trip ourselves, but TourRadar would have been more than happy to help organise it if we had preferred. The tour company was incredible from start to finish. They arranged to collect us from our hotel in Cairo before our flight to Luxor, where our Nile cruise adventure began. From the moment we landed in Luxor, everything was seamlessly organised. Our guide and driver were waiting for us, and throughout the trip everything ran smoothly. Our tour guide, Hassan, was fantastic. He struck the perfect balance between providing historical information, cultural insights, and humour, without overwhelming us with too many facts. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing Egypt's incredible history. Of the optional excursions, we would highly recommend both Abu Simbel and the Nubian Village. These come at an additional cost but were absolutely worth every penny and were among the highlights of our trip. The excursions included within the package were also excellent and allowed us to experience some of Egypt's most iconic ancient sites. One of our personal highlights was visiting the Valley of the Kings and seeing Tutankhamun's mummy. The boat itself exceeded our expectations. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive throughout the cruise. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable, with bottled water replenished daily during room servicing. The facilities were excellent, including a large sun deck, comfortable seating areas, and a small pool that was perfect for cooling off while enjoying the stunning views along the Nile. The food was another standout feature of the trip. There was an incredible variety available every day, including fresh fruit, meats, pasta dishes, rice, potatoes, salads, and an impressive selection of desserts. There was always plenty of choice, and the quality was consistently excellent. As with any trip, there are some additional costs to consider. Before travelling, we asked TourRadar for a breakdown of all expected expenses so we knew exactly what to budget for, and we would strongly recommend doing the same. This meant there were no unexpected surprises. There is a mandatory payment that covers basic entrance fees to sites such as the Valley of the Kings, as well as tipping for the boat staff. Some attractions, such as Tutankhamun's tomb, require an additional ticket, but these are entirely optional and only payable if you choose to visit. Overall, we had an amazing time. The history was fascinating, the organisation was excellent, Hassan was a wonderful guide, and the Nile cruise itself was an unforgettable experience. Sailing along one of the world's most famous rivers while discovering Egypt's ancient wonders was truly a trip of a lifetime, and we would highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit.Show more

This tour has beyond exceeded my expectations. The company arranged for all of our transportation between hotels, flights, and activities. Everything was taken care of, we never had to deal with extra costs or potential issues along the way. Our tour guide, Hassan, made sure we were comfortable, safe, and happy the entire time. He seemed to be friends with everyone and we could see why! We skipped past lines to quickly get into all the temples without dealing with the crowds. He gave us history and information about all the sites then gave us our free time to roam around and take pictures/explore for ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and always made sure we had plenty of water! Each day we had our activities planned out around the meals that were provided on the cruise. We would set our times and Hassan would be waiting for us at reception to head on to our adventures. We often had downtime between meals and activities where we were able to rest in our room or enjoy the pool and bar on the sundeck of the boat. There also is a lounge bar on the cruise that is open 24 hours that was very nice. We never would have been able to see all the sites that we wanted to had we planned this on our own. The connections and organization through the Holiday in Egypt tour made it possible for us to have time to do everything without feeling rushed. Being two young females traveling alone we were a little apprehensive about visiting Egypt. This tour and our guide Hassan made us feel beyond comfortable, safe, and filled with happiness about our experience. It was so amazing to see, experience, and learn about Egyptian culture.Show more

  Since the domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor is scheduled to depart at approximately 8:00 AM on Day 1, we recommend arriving in Cairo from London one day before the tour starts and staying at a hotel near Cairo Airport. This will make your first morning much more comfortable and avoid any risk of missing the domestic flight.
  
  At the end of the cruise, you may also choose to spend one additional night in Cairo to relax before your international flight back to London.
  
  Alternatively, if you are planning to fly internationally from Cairo immediately after the tour, please send us your intended international departure time, and we will arrange the best possible connection with your domestic flight back to Cairo.
