I personally never felt unsafe, thats completely because of our guides Abdul who guided us around Alexanderia, Saqqara, Memphis and Ahmed Kasim through out the nile cruise and all the beautiful temples we visited. From the great Pyramids , to the overnight train to Aswan, then on a beutifull riverboat cruise up to Lxor, resort in the Red sea, then Back to Giza. Visiting sites daily along the way. As if visiting all these ancient sites wasn't mind blowing enough on their own, having Hossam Rashwan as a guide through it all was just fantastic. He kept our group of 19 on track day after day, site after site, consistently delivering information and insight in a professional, thoughtful manner that left us all feeling we couldn't have asked for anything more. From explaining history and hieroglyphics to recounting ancient myths, to giving us tips on where to get the best deals... Yes, our illustrious leader went above and beyond to see to the needs of everyone in the group. Our tour guide had a deep knowledge of all the historic sights, he watched over us like family and was on top of all aspects of the day. The accommodations were very nice and I didn’t get sick from the water. My suggestions would be to bring all light weight cotton clothing and do not worry about dress codes. Sohaila Fuad was our first guide, covering the Museum at Cairo and the pyramids, Sphinx etc at Giza. She was very professional and knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour. Her description of the artifacts at the Museum was masterful. From Aswan our guide was Hossam Rashwan. Hossam has a really impressive command of detail covering each of the sites visited. He created a real atmosphere of fun, organising two birthday celebrations and participating in the evening activities. He is a first class guide, particularly in his ability to troubleshoot and respond to problems experienced by the group. There were two young children on the tour and both Sohaila and Hossam made a real effort to include them and make things interesting for them. In Cairo, we use Helnan Dream Hotel, and in Luxor, we use Steigenberger Nile Palace Hotel. The cruise ship will be assigned based on availability.

All our guests are accommodated in higher Level cabins, and all cabins feature Nile views with either large panoramic windows or French balconies. There are no inside cabins on any of the Nile cruise ships we use.

Return flight from Luxor to Cairo: The flight is scheduled to depart from Luxor around 10:00 AM, arriving in Cairo at approximately 11:00 AM. I recommend booking your international departure flight from 1:00 PM onwards to allow sufficient time for your connection. Pre-tour accommodation: We can arrange three nights of pre-tour accommodation at the same hotel used during the tour. The cost is USD 150 per double room per night, including breakfast and Cairo airport pickup upon arrival.
