  Does the tour of the pyramids allow us to enter the pyramids? If not, can we add something that will allow us inside of the pyramids? Once we have been picked from Cairo airport and dropped off at the hotel, do we have any activities for the remainder of that day? How much time do we have for the optional hot air balloon rides and Abu Simbel? Does Abu Simbel only depart at 04:00? Are there later tours that we an attend? Are there any evenings free that we can opt to have dinner at a location other than that provided by the tour?

    The Giza Pyramids tour includes entry to the Giza Plateau. Entry inside the Great Pyramid or one of the other pyramids is not included, but you can purchase an entrance ticket on site if you'd like to go inside. Your guide will assist you with this during the visit.
    On your arrival day, after we meet you at Cairo Airport and transfer you to your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your own pace.
    The optional hot air balloon experience takes place early in the morning before the sightseeing in Luxor. It is well organized and does not affect the rest of your itinerary.
    The Abu Simbel optional tour normally departs around 4:00 AM to allow enough time to visit the temples and return before the cruise continues its schedule. Unfortunately, later departures are not available as they would conflict with the cruise itinerary.
    Yes, you'll have some free evenings during the tour, especially in Cairo and Hurghada. You're welcome to enjoy dinner at any restaurant of your choice instead of the hotel if you prefer.

    How much do tickets cost to enter the pyramids, and how much time do we have to explore the inside of the pyramids?

    The current ticket to enter the inside of the Great Pyramid is EGP 1,000 per person and is purchased separately from the Giza Plateau entrance ticket. Ticket prices are set by the Egyptian authorities and may change before your travel date.
    During your visit to the Giza Pyramids, you'll have enough time to explore the inside of the pyramid if you choose to purchase the ticket. Most visitors spend around 20 to 30 minutes inside, depending on the number of visitors and their own pace, while the overall visit to the Giza Plateau lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.
    Your guide will be happy to assist you with purchasing the ticket and organizing your visit on the day.

  Why when I select 1 adult traveller the price per person (1,299) is higher and more expensive than if I were to book 2 adult travellers (743)?

    On our Historic Horizons package, the price is USD 1,000 per person when booking a double/twin room (based on two people sharing). However, a single room is USD 1,749, as solo travellers are required to book a private room. We do not offer room-sharing options with other travellers, as we believe this provides the maximum comfort and privacy for our guests.

    Does this tour include the Tomb of Tutankhamun?

    The Valley of the Kings is included in the tour. However, entry to Tutankhamun's Tomb requires a separate ticket and is not included in the standard entrance ticket to the Valley of the Kings.

  I am intending to book this tour, however I would like to add 4 nights onto the end of the tour for some of the day tours from Cairo. On the tourRadar site I can only add one extra post tour night. Can I add more after I complete the booking and pay separately?

Once your booking is confirmed, or even closer to your departure date, we can assist you in adding the extra post-tour nights to your booking whenever you wish. We can arrange the additional nights in either Cairo or Luxor, as both options are available.

    Since it will be a private tour, you can simply let your tour guide know what time you would like to finish, and they will be happy to adjust the schedule accordingly. The normal end time is usually around 4:00–5:00 PM.
    
    That said, the Grand Egyptian Museum is truly worth the time spent there, as it is one of the highlights of any visit to Egypt. If you would still like some free time in the afternoon, we can certainly arrange the tour to finish earlier.

    Cairo to Aswan: approximately 8:00 AM departure. Luxor to Cairo: approximately 8:00 AM departure.

    During your visit to the Valley of the Kings, you will visit 3 tombs from the ones that are open and available at the time of your tour.
    
    If there is a specific tomb you would like to visit, simply let us know in advance and we will ask your tour guide to arrange it for you.
    
    Please note that some special tombs, such as King Tutankhamun's Tomb and King Seti I's Tomb, require an additional entrance ticket. These tickets can be purchased directly on-site with the assistance of your tour guide during the visit.

    I think we will arrive a day early. I see that we can select to stay in a hotel for pre-tour accommodations. Will we still be picked up from the airport and transported to the hotel if we arrive early?

    Arriving one day early would actually be perfect, as it would allow us to arrange the Alexandria day tour on Day 1 before your main tour begins. Yes, you can book the pre-tour accommodation, and we will arrange it for you at the same hotel where your tour starts. We will also arrange your airport pickup and transfer directly to the hotel upon your arrival.

    The entrance ticket to the interior of the Great Pyramid is not included in the tour price, but you can purchase it on-site.
