Are we able to take hot air balloon flights over the pyramids?

Hot air balloon flights are available in Luxor, flying over the West Bank and the surrounding ancient sites. Hot air balloon flights are not operated over the Pyramids of Giza. We can arrange the Luxor hot air balloon experience as an optional tour for all 4 travellers. It normally takes place early in the morning and is coordinated with the main tour itinerary.

I didn't find double room on this tour. But Twin. Double rooms available. I am not sure what it Twin/Double room. I am travelling with my partner. So I prefer to have a double room. Can you arrange a double room for me through the tour?

As you will arrive in Cairo on December 13 and the tour starts on December 16, we can arrange your airport pickup and three nights of pre-tour accommodation at the same 5-star Cairo hotel used for the tour. This is the most convenient option, as you can settle in after your arrival and remain at the same hotel until the tour begins. Alternatively, if you prefer to arrange the extra nights yourself, we can share the confirmed tour hotel details closer to your arrival. The final hotel name is normally confirmed shortly before the tour date.

We are two adults of tunisian nationality . if we book this tour with your agency are we entitled for entry on arrival visa ?

Regarding the visa requirements for Tunisian passport holders, we recommend checking directly with the Egyptian Consulate in Tunisia, as they will be able to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding visa eligibility and whether you are entitled to obtain a visa on arrival. Can you provide details on Day 8 - Wednesday, February 10th? Based on when i reach Cairo Airport, I would like to book my tickets back home.

On Day 8, the usual domestic flight from Aswan to Cairo is a morning flight, departing after breakfast at around 8:00 AM and arriving in Cairo at approximately 9:00 AM. You may therefore book any available international departure from Cairo from 10:00 AM onwards. If there is no suitable international flight available in the morning or afternoon, you can also book a night-time international departure, and we will arrange the best possible connection and transfer to your international flight.

can I add on one or 2 nights in Hurghada

Absolutely, we can add 1 or 2 extra nights in Hurghada at the end of your tour with no problem. You may confirm the main package first, and once the booking is confirmed, we can assist you with adding the extra accommodation. Please note that we would also replace the included domestic flight from Luxor to Cairo with a private transfer from Luxor to Hurghada, as there are no direct flights from Luxor to Hurghada. There will be an additional charge for the extra nights in Hurghada and the private transfer. We can provide the exact cost once you confirm the number of extra nights.

We spent seven days under the care of Holiday in Egypt, followed by two days on our own. The two days on our own were characterised by people trying to trick us and guides who knew less than they pretended to know. In contrast, the time we spent with the Holiday in Egypt team was smooth, hassle free and really enjoyable. Our experience began in Cairo with a tour of the Pyramids, followed by lunch, a stop at a papyrus shop, then GEM. The guide, Mohammed, was brilliant and took us through all 12 halls within GEM, showing us the highlights within each. Very knowledgeable. We then flew to Aswan where Ahmed was waiting to take us to our cruise. The same Ahmed helped us at the end of the tour too. Very nice man! I had reasonably low expectations for the Nile cruise but it ended up being really lovely. Our group was just eight people who were fantastic travel companions. The boat was great - modern, clean, large windows. The food was very tasty, although I do wish they served more Egyptian food. Still - great buffets! There was lots of space on the sundeck which was a beautiful place to pass time. The downside of this kind of travel is that you often end up arriving at temples at the same time as every other cruise boat. This is where our guide Tamer excelled, often getting us up earlier than everyone else so we could be the first at the temple in question. Tamer was, as we all agreed, a lovely man. There was not a question that he did not know the answer to and did a great job of looking out for the group. Be prepared for some early starts, but they are worthwhile. Extras: The Nubian Village was a little inauthentic but the boat ride to the village as the sun set more than made up for it. Abu Simbel was a long drive but we all slept and agreed that it wasn’t that bad. The hot air balloon ride in Luxor was fun - stunning views with a beautiful sunrise. On our free day in Luxor, we went to Dendera Temple using a guide found on Viator. The temple was amazing, however the guide was mildly crazy. In hindsight, we should have used Holiday in Egypt for this as I expect their guide would have been significantly better! Overall, an incredible experience in Egypt - made comfortable by Holiday in Egypt.Show more

The tour guides explained the history well and made sure we were taken care of. Although, a few sites we visited felt a little rushed but due to some mechanical issue with the bridge gate on nile river...it set us back. But overall, I enjoyed the tour and had the best experience. The hotels were great, felt comfortable and safe with them all. The only downfall was having to leave. Great Egypt Trip — One Disappointment Family of four, traveling Sept. 21–28, 2026, on the Historic Horizons – Egypt 8 Days (5-Star) tour operated by Holiday in Egypt. The trip started a little rough, but overall it was an amazing experience. Abdelrahman Fouad in Cairo and Ahmed Kassem on the Aswan–Luxor cruise were both excellent — knowledgeable, patient, and made the history come alive. The only real disappointment was the Liberty cruise ship. It was included as part of the 5-star package, but in our opinion, it was closer to a 3-star ship and did not meet the 5-star expectation. We traveled from Cairo to Aswan to Luxor and felt 100% completely safe throughout the trip. The Luxor hot-air balloon was AMAZING! I get motion sickness but went anyway — absolutely worth it! We booked it separately. Overall, Egypt was incredible. Don’t wait — go experience it yourself!Show more
