If it is just myself travelling, why does it still charge me to set of 1000+ euros? Wouldnt it be 1/2 that? I'm solo travelling and it will be just me!

The price shown for the Ultimate Egypt 8 Days (GEM visit – 5 stars accommodation) is per person, not per room. Even if you are traveling solo, the package still includes: • 1 night 5-star hotel in Cairo • 4 nights 5-star Nile cruise (full board) • 2 sleeper train cabins with dinner and breakfast • All guided tours with Egyptologist • All transfers and meet & assist services As a solo traveler, you will have a private room and private cruise cabin, so a single supplement applies. The current promotion already reduces the main tour cost significantly. The extra amount you see is the single room supplement, which covers having the cabin and hotel room exclusively for you.

We have a fairly large group interested in joining the 8-day tour. For our first day in Cairo, we have a slightly different request — would you be able to help us organise a go-karting activity during our short time there? If so, we'd really appreciate any options or recommendations you can provide.

Regarding go-karting in Cairo, I would like to clarify that karting tracks in Egypt are generally small and not comparable to professional international racing circuits. They are more suitable for children, teenagers, casual fun sessions, and short recreational races. They are not designed as large competitive tracks for adult racing groups. In Cairo, two common options are: Autovrooom Karting (6th of October area) • Outdoor track • Suitable for group sessions • Basic racing experience F1 Karting (Katameya area) • Smaller track • More suitable for teenagers and casual activity • Limited high-speed experience For a group of 9 adults, it can still be arranged as a fun activity, but expectations should be set as light entertainment rather than professional racing.

Are the tours/excursion pensioner friendly, or is there a lot of walking? Can this tour accommodate someone in a wheel chair?

Can we bring special foods onboard the ship or ask the ship to assist with ordering some custard and Yoghurts that we will pay for?

I'm very interested in booking the Ultimate Egypt 8 Days (GEM visit – 5★ accommodation) tour, but before confirming I'd like to better understand the accommodation and transport used on the trip. Could you please provide: The name and photos of the specific Nile cruise vessel used for my departure date, Photos of the standard cabin and, if available, any upgraded cabin options on the cruise, Photos of the overnight sleeper train carriage, including sleeping berths and bathroom facilities

All the cruises we work with are newly renovated 5 stars, very comfortable, and designed to give you a memorable experience. The exact cruise for your trip is confirmed a few days before travel, depending on availability. At that time, our Operations team will contact you directly and provide all details about the cruise, including cabins and upgrade options.

For the last night on the train to be back Cairo, may we book the flight instead and what is the supplement cost? What is the expected time for that flight so we can consider fly out flight?

You can replace the last night on the train with a flight back to Cairo. The supplement cost is $140 USD per person, which includes the flight ticket and one night of accommodation. The exact flight time will be shared closer to your departure date, but it is generally scheduled to arrive in Cairo in the evening to allow a smooth transfer.

What is the cost to upgrade from train to flight? Do you have to upgrade both sectors or can we just upgrade the Aswan to Cairo sector? is the Cairo hotel included in the upgrade price? if so, can we opt to stay in the city at an equivalent cost hotel, instead of in Giza?

The flight upgrade option is available directly on the booking page. The upgrade includes flights and accommodation in the same Cairo hotel as per the original itinerary, and the hotel stay is included in the upgrade cost. You may upgrade both sectors (Cairo–Luxor and Aswan–Cairo), or if you prefer, we can arrange a mixed option where you upgrade one sector to flights and keep the other by sleeper train—for example, taking the train at the end of the tour to enjoy the rail experience. This can be arranged upon request. Please note that the Cairo hotel included with the flight upgrade will be the same hotel used in the tour itinerary. At this stage, switching to a different city hotel at an equivalent cost is not included as part of the standard upgrade.

Is this trip suitable for us? We are elderly 79 and 74.

This tour will be completely suitable for you. The itinerary is well paced, and we always take special care of our senior travelers to ensure comfort and flexibility throughout the journey.

I do have a hard time to match the flights from Marseille to Cairo, do you have any suggestions?

Regarding flights from Marseille to Cairo, we suggest booking any international flight that arrives on the first day of the tour. If you find it difficult to match a flight that arrives on day one, you are very welcome to arrive one day earlier, and we will be happy to assist you with arranging pre-tour accommodation in Cairo.

How much of the Ultimate tour includes the museum? I'd hope to spend at least two days in it.

The visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is included in the daily tours. If you'd like to spend additional days at the museum, just let us know and we can help you arrange extra visits.

Tour Radar organised this trip thru Holiday in Egypt and we were more than happy with their excellent service. Mohamad organised everything and we mean everything. All transfers, beautiful classy hotels etc. we had a full day tour in cairo to see the pyramids and the sphinx and also spent quite some time in the fabulous new egyption museum with Sohaila as our guide for the day included was a nice lunch. We went by sleeper overnigjt train to Luxor which was ok but worth it for the experience. We met Hassan Hosny our guide for the nile sector from luxor to aswan. Hassan was fabulous!!! He showed us everything of importance on the trip and was so much fun to be around. People ensure you get Hassan as your future egyptian guide. We devided to fly back to cairo rather than take the train and Hassan organised everything with tous in egypt including flights hotels and transfers. We were 6 travellers all friends from australia and he helped us all. A fabulous trip organised by tour radar thru holiday in egypt. No problem in egypt becsuse of the war in middle east. Very good trip, though quite tiring. We had done a similar tour nineteen years ago, and this one compared very favourably. The guides were excellent - knowledgable, friendly and very informative. We did the train journeys rather than upgrade to flights, and were quite glad we did as the flights all seemed to get delayed. The trains are old, noisy and not the cleanest (the toilets were particularly bad), but nevertheless comfortable and we got a good night's sleep both ways. One of the real highlights, which we had not done before was the hot air balloon flight near Luxor, watching the sun coming up - magical!Show more

They made the experience thoroughly enjoyable and we felt safe and looked after at all times. The admin crew are also great and responsive when you need support or to change things about. Be prepared for lots of early mornings to miss the crowds, its hard work but well worth it! Upgrade and skip the overnight train journey if you can, it is not a pleasant ride. Our tour was called Goddess Hathor 8 Day (5 star) tour. All accommodation was excellent especially the hotel in Luxor. Our accommodation in Cairo was in October City and there is nothing much to do there but there is a lovely pool area. We had just come off another tour so this suited us to have a day to relax. After our day tour of Cairo we flew to Aswan. Some of group did the overnight sleeper train which sounded awful so glad we had the flight. We were in a nile cruise for three nights - quality of accommodation and food was again excellent. Overall the tour was well organised with all transfers and bookings being very good. The only improvement would be to provide a clear itinerary of accommodation, transfers and flights - as we didn’t know where we were staying or what time our flights were until the day before. Our tour guide, Mohamed Kamal, took good care of us during the tour and provided us with really good and interesting information. Our operations contact, Alaa, also responded quickly when we asked questions. We loved everything we went to see on this tour - Egypt is amazing. Thank you team ?Show more

  For the Ultimate Egypt 8 Days (GEM visit – 5 stars accommodation), the sleeper train is already included both ways (Cairo–Luxor and Aswan–Cairo)
  
  Each booking is arranged in a private sleeper cabin.
  
  As you are traveling solo and paying the single supplement, this means:
  
  • You will have a private hotel room in Cairo
  • A private cruise cabin on the Nile
  • A private sleeper train cabin for both journeys
  
  You will not share the cabin with another traveler.
  
  There is no additional cost required for a bed, as the sleeper cabin includes your own bed automatically.
  
  If you would like to upgrade the sleeper train to domestic flights instead, this can also be arranged at an additional cost.

  Regarding go-karting in Cairo, I would like to clarify that karting tracks in Egypt are generally small and not comparable to professional international racing circuits. They are more suitable for children, teenagers, casual fun sessions, and short recreational races. They are not designed as large competitive tracks for adult racing groups.
  
  In Cairo, two common options are:
  
  Autovrooom Karting (6th of October area)
  • Outdoor track
  • Suitable for group sessions
  • Basic racing experience
  
  F1 Karting (Katameya area)

  This tour does include some walking, particularly at the Pyramids, temples (such as Karnak, Luxor and Philae), and archaeological sites. The ground at some sights is uneven, with sandy areas (like at the Pyramids) and stone pathways at temples.
  
  A wheelchair can be used in certain places, especially:
  The Grand Egyptian Museum (ramps and elevators available)
  Hotels and the cruise boat (public areas are generally accessible)
  
  However, please note that:
  Some tombs and temples have steps and narrow passages.
  
  Not all sights are fully wheelchair accessible.
  
  If you decide to bring a wheelchair, we will absolutely do our best to assist and make the experience as comfortable as possible, but this tour is not fully wheelchair-adapted in all locations.

  The flight upgrade option is available directly on the booking page. The upgrade includes flights and accommodation in the same Cairo hotel as per the original itinerary, and the hotel stay is included in the upgrade cost.
  
  You may upgrade both sectors (Cairo–Luxor and Aswan–Cairo), or if you prefer, we can arrange a mixed option where you upgrade one sector to flights and keep the other by sleeper train—for example, taking the train at the end of the tour to enjoy the rail experience. This can be arranged upon request.
  
  Please note that the Cairo hotel included with the flight upgrade will be the same hotel used in the tour itinerary. At this stage, switching to a different city hotel at an equivalent cost is not included as part of the standard upgrade.

  Are the booked dates immoveable or can I change to a week before or after? Egypt tour will be at the end of some hiking in Greece & Italy and I am juggling with dates. It would be helpful for planning & booking if there is some leeway, provided that there is availability, of course.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
