The majority of our guests are from 25-30 somethings but we get plenty in their late 30's / very early 40's. Our accommodation providers are hostels for this trip as long as your happy with this?

How are lunch meals handled? Can food be easily purchased daily?

It's easy to find food daily, and you can also pick up lunch, snacks from supermarkets if you prefer.

I have two questions. 1. Our flight will land at 7:20 AM in Auckland airport, do you think this will be enough time to get to the start point? 2. I have medical equipment that will most likely take up to 2 bags plus then a carry on with my clothing. Will there be enough storage for my medicals bags, I am fine paying extra if that is a problem. I will just need to keep putting ice on them throughout the trip to keep the medication cold. Just wondering if any of this would be a problem thank you.

The tour will depart from LyLo Hostel Auckland at 9:00 am. As your flight is scheduled to arrive at 7:20 am, this timing would be quite tight, and you risk missing the tour departure. Transfer time from Auckland Airport to LyLo typically takes around 30–40 minutes, not accounting for potential delays with baggage claim or customs. We recommend arriving the day prior and booking a pre-night stay in Auckland. We have a strict luggage allowance of one main bag (max. 20kg) plus a small carry-on for the bus. Due to limited trailer space, we cannot accommodate additional or oversized luggage, especially if the tour is fully booked.

What are the transport arrangements between tour locations?

Transportation is provided between tour locations, typically via coach or minivan, ensuring comfort throughout your journey.

Where does the tour normally stay? Is it hostels? Is there any chance to pay extra for my own space?

Throughout your Wild Kiwi trip, you will be staying in shared dorms with 4-6 Wild Kiwi tour members aged 18-39, in hostel-style accommodations. Depending on the size of your group, these rooms may be mixed-sex rooms and will be exclusive to Wild Kiwi guests. There is the option to upgrade to a private room subject to availability for an additional cost of $140 NZD per room and night. Please note that this is subject to availability at the time of booking. These rooms sometimes have ensuites but this is not guaranteed and sometimes may be shared bathroom facilities.

Can you offer a 7 day tour that fits our NZ visit. We would like to start on May 17 and finish the tour the evening of May 21.

I'm afraid due to the way we operate our trips only depart every Saturday and return the following Friday, so I'm afraid we can't offer flexibility in our start and ends dates.

I’ve never had soo much fun in my life and I never imagined I’d get to push myself to do 6 new things I’ve never done before (white water rafting, zip lining, sky diving, bungee jumping, cave exploring, and surfing). I’m still soo sad that it’s over! Telli was a great guide and I had a group that was what dreams are made of. Best trip ever, with my only regret being that I did one week. If I return to do the Southern Island, I’ll ONLY look for Wild Kiwi as an operator. Thank you soo much, much love and appreciation for you guys!!Show more

I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover as much of the North Island of New Zealand as possible in a short time span. Our tour guide Robbie did an incredible job getting us to and from all our destinations while providing his personal insight into each location to ensure we made the most of our trip. My only regret was not having booked the second leg of the tour through the South Island. Well done!Show more

Accommodations are ok (mostly hostels) but you're generally on the move and getting as much as you possibly can into the trip. Great activities to choose from - Tongariro Crossing is a great hike (did it in shorts and a hoodie but I recommend gloves), and you'll definitely have the opportunity for multiple activities in a single day.Show more
