- Day 1
Christchurch to Lake Tekapo
Leave Christchurch early to avoid traffic on your 3-hour drive to Lake Tekapo. You'll want to make the most of your time at this stunning location. A recent visitor shared: "The Dark Sky Reserve stargazing at Lake Tekapo was humbling. Bring warm layers - temperatures drop significantly after sunset."

- Day 2

- Day 3

- Day 4
Queenstown Activities
Spend the day trying Queenstown's famous adventure activities. Book popular activities like bungy jumping or canyon swinging well in advance. A helpful tip from a fellow traveler: "The Skyline Gondola gives great views and the luge tracks are perfect if you're not into extreme sports. Go before 10am to avoid queues."

- Day 5
Queenstown to Franz Josef
The 5-hour drive to Franz Josef offers beautiful scenery through Wanaka and Haast Pass. Take a short detour to the Blue Pools walk. A previous visitor advises: "The road from Haast to Franz Josef can be windy - take motion sickness pills if you're prone to car sickness and sit near the front of the vehicle."

- Day 6
Franz Josef Glacier
Book your glacier activities early, especially the popular heli-hike. Morning slots are best since afternoon flights often get canceled due to weather. A regular visitor suggests: "Even if you don't do the helicopter, the valley walk gives great glacier views. Go early as the car park fills by 10am."

- Day 7

telli is sooooo great!perfect trip.love wild kiwi
- New Zealand: Best of the North Island
My group was phenomenal, we all had a blast together. Our guide was very communicative, using WhatsApp and a photo circle to share information, resources and photos. I’m not used to hopping hostels, so that was a bit rough, definitively pack light and try to be organized. I should have done a better job researching temperature as well - as it got much colder than I was expecting. Overall the trip was incredible and I did everything I wanted to do.
- Northern Voyager
This trip changed my life. I’ve never had soo much fun in my life and I never imagined I’d get to push myself to do 6 new things I’ve never done before (white water rafting, zip lining, sky diving, bungee jumping, cave exploring, and surfing). I’m still soo sad that it’s over! Telli was a great guide and I had a group that was what dreams are made of. Best trip ever, with my only regret being that I did one week. If I return to do the Southern Island, I’ll ONLY look for Wild Kiwi as an operator. Thank you soo much, much love and appreciation for you guys!!
