It's based on the English-speaking guide.
    
    The price of 3-star accommodation will be:
    
    US $946.2 + $300 (local payment) = US $1,246.2/person.
    
    The local payment covers airfares during the trip, the English-speaking guide fee, and some other local fees for a wholesome experience which you pay us directly by credit card or cash on the first day.
    
    This is the total tour price per person; there are no other additional costs.

    In Sapa, you will join the trekking tours (about 12km for a full-day tour) and one night stay at a local homestay. Are you ok with that?

  Would like to know if we could omit kayaking and swap it out for a guided boat ride instead? We are in our early 60's so we can't do anything too strenuous. Is this tour appropriate for people our age? We are in good physical shape but don't want to commit to long arduous walks and hiking steep terrain for long periods of time.

    Regarding kayaking, this activity is included on the Halong Bay cruise. If you don't want to participate, that's perfectly fine, you can choose other activities according to each ship's itinerary or relax on your own.
    
    Our tour currently includes a trip to Sapa, which involves a significant amount of hiking. Based on your note, I recommend replacing this tour with one that requires less physical exertion.
    
    The 3-day, 2-night Sapa tour can be replaced with a Hanoi city tour, a Ba Vi Eco tour, and a tour visiting the Incense Village and the Conical Hat Village.

    For your question: it depends on the time you want to change the travel date, if the price at that time is higher, it will have an additional fee, but normally it's not too much if any. Otherwise, we will offer you free to change your travel date, but please note: We only offer to support you to change your travel date ONE TIME. If more than 1, the suppliers will reject our booking. You need to inform us if you want to change to travel date at least 3 months before your initial travel date. For other cases, we have to evaluate and work with suppliers to see if we can change or the additional fee of new travel date or not.

    I am a solo traveller and I will take the 3 star category. I would also like to request a sleeper bus instead of the regular bus to Sa Pa. I can make that arrangement myself or if you could do it, that would be great!

    Based on your initial request for a solo traveler, starting on Sep 22nd 2026, the price with 3-star accommodation will be: USD 1,715 (Upfront Payment) + USD 300 (Local Payment) = USD 2,015/person. The Local Payment covers domestic airfare during the trip (except for international flights for arrival and departure of this trip), the English-speaking guide fee, and some other local fees for a wholesome experience. You can pay Local Payment anytime till your arrival day by cash (new USD bills), OR credit card payment link (with transfer fee). We just separate the price into Upfront Payment and Local payment to help our clients be more flexible to plan their payment for the trip.

    For the Sapa bus, to be honest, we usually book a limousine bus at the early morning for our clients, which pick up at about 6h30 - 6h45 am, and you will arrive in Sapa about 13h, depend on the traffic. For sleeper bus, we don't book it for our clients before because they won't pick up from the hotel and normally pick-up from some other locations, which we can't control the quality for our clients.

Additionally, meals on the tour will only include breakfast at the hotel and a few lunches mentioned on tour days, not all three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). If you would like all three meals included on a tour day, please let me know and I will adjust the meal plan accordingly.

The system won't allow me to generate separate payment links because it requires a full payment/deposit to initiate the booking.   We plan to arrive to Vieynam on June 28 and spend 12 days to tour Vietnam and Cambodia before flying back on July 9th or July 10th. Please let us know if you provide an itinerary and quote for this requirement. We hold Indian passport and have USA Greencard - do we need a visa for Vietnamm and Cambodia and do you help with arranging same?

    In Vietnam: here is the link to apply e-visa by yourself: It may take about 10 business days to get the approval. Please send me the approval copies to double check for you.
    
    In Cambodia: please do the visa on arrival (please prepare US cash), but you need to complete this e-visa card in advance:
    
    All tourists visiting Cambodia are required to submit a digital application through a dedicated app within 7 days before arrival.
    Download the official E-arrival app: Enter your personal information and travel details, at least 7 days before arrival.
    Receive a confirmation email with a QR code. Show the QR code to the immigration officer upon arrival.
    
    You also can do the e-visa in advance to save more time but the visa system in Cambodia is not really good.
    
    We can do the visa for you but there is extra fee applied (subject to change at the request time). So I normally recommend you apply on your own to save the cost.
