I am thinking of booking the ebc trip in February. I see this package comes with a porter, is there other packages without a porter, id like to bring my big backpack and carry my things myself instead of having a porter.

You can book the trip without a porter, but the price will remain the same. You can choose any dates, and if the listed dates are not suitable for you, you are welcome to request new ones.

I had a questions regarding after the base camp trip is over, instead of going to Kathmandu airport I have another week left in Kathmandu is it okay if I book another hotel myself for the remaining week?

We had the best time trekking with Nepal Hiking Team. Nothing was ever too much trouble with them. All of our needs were met and the communication with Ganga at their office was second to none. It was an amazing experience made even better by our guide Durba, and our porter S.K Rai! Durba was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and kept us in high spirits, especially during the tougher parts of the trek. Nothing was every too much trouble for Durba, he really went above and beyond in making sure we had the best time. My experience with Nepal Hiking Team was more than superb! My guide, Prakash and Porter, Nema were providing a very professional and friendly manner services. I was a solo female traveller, supposedly with a group but got a private tour service instead. The team still took care of me very well in a very professional manner. I felt so great to have the team push me through to the Everest base camp with a lot of motivation. I probably couldn’t made it without their motivation. Also Mr Ganga has helped me in many ways. He has been making sure his staff members were providing great services to me. Anything goes wrong, he will always be there to sort out very professionally anytime!!! Excellent services!!!! It was a very good decision to entrust our first Nepal and Everest trek, including the Kathmandu tour, to them. Ganga, the leader, was very accommodating to any sudden health problems or schedule changes during the itinerary, and the guides worked together as a team and did their best to ensure the best memories for our guests, considering their physical condition. Thanks especially to Uttam! I will never forget seeing Everest at sunset from Kala Patthar. At the end of the trip, in addition to the Certificate, we received some nice souvenirs. The base hotel in the Thamel area of Kathmandu was also very comfortable. From the airport pick-up to the departure, everything was taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Nepal.Show more

When I arrived our guide, Bihm was well prepared and put us at ease for the long trip ahead of us. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Nepal Hiking Team. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Nepal Hiking Team will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
