What people love about Everest Base Camp Tours
- Everest 3 High Pass Trekking
The Everest High Passes trek with Nepal Social Trek and Expedition was phenomenal. Over the 15-day trek, our group of three forged lasting friendships with our guide, Achut Pandey, and porters who went the extra mile in everything they did to make our journey culturally rewarding and successful. While not for the faint-of-heart, this route offered views of the Himalayas, cultural experiences and mental and physical challenges that can't be found on the more heavily trafficked routes to Everest Base Camp. We were the only people on the trail for most of the trek. Nepal Social Trek and Expedition, Basu Panday, and Woodapple Hotel and Spa handled the organization and details of our trek flawlessly, including two days of touring in Kathmandu. Thank you Nepal Social Treks for making our dream come true.
- Everest Base Camp Trek 12 Days
The Everest Base Camp Trek with Sherpa Expedition was a remarkable adventure that surpassed all my expectations. The blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and expert guidance made this trek an experience I will cherish forever. Organizational Excellence: From the initial contact with Sherpa Expedition, it was clear that this was a well-organized operation. Their pre-trek briefing was detailed and informative, covering everything from the physical demands of the trek to the cultural nuances of the region. This level of preparation was crucial for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Guides and Support Team: Our guides, led by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Lakpa, were instrumental in making the trek successful. Lakpa’s deep understanding of the terrain, weather conditions, and altitude management was invaluable. He and his team provided constant encouragement and support, ensuring that every member of the group was comfortable and well-informed. Trekking Highlights: The trek itself was a series of unforgettable experiences. Starting from Lukla, we were treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, and each day brought new sights and challenges. The trek took us through charming villages, dense forests, and across high-altitude meadows. The acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche were particularly well-planned, allowing us to adjust to the altitude and explore the local surroundings. Cultural Insights: One of the most enriching aspects of the trek was the opportunity to engage with Sherpa culture. Our guides shared fascinating stories about their traditions, and we had the chance to visit ancient monasteries and witness local customs. These cultural experiences added a meaningful dimension to the trek, making it more than just a physical journey. Teahouses and Cuisine: The teahouses we stayed in were comfortable and provided a welcoming retreat after long days of trekking. The meals, prepared with care and attention, were a highlight of the journey. I particularly enjoyed the variety of dishes, from traditional Nepali meals to international options, all served with a smile. The Base Camp Experience: Arriving at Everest Base Camp was the culmination of the trek and an experience I will never forget. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest peak and taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains was a powerful moment. The sense of achievement and the beauty of the landscape made the entire trek worthwhile. Safety and Comfort: Sherpa Expedition’s commitment to safety was evident throughout the trek. The guides were attentive to our health and well-being, and their proactive approach to acclimatization and altitude sickness ensured that we were well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Everest Base Camp October 2024. Ram at Sherpa Expedition and trekking company did an excellent job at organizing our trip to EBC for 9 of us from ages 23-67. Ram answered all of our questions promptly and took care of our every need. During the 12 days of trekking, our guides Mindu and Nima were extremely helpful. Mindu who has submitted Mt. Everest few times, was knowledgeable, helpful, caring and friendly. Mindu gave us great advice daily on how we can improve and make our journey possible. He constantly asked us about our health and checked on all of us. His efforts and encouragement made it possible for us to complete our dream. Nima was always with us and became best friends with our kids! Nima was with us every step from the day we landed in Kathmandu till the day we flew back. The team of Mindu including Nima and the 5 portors (Chiri, Tirtha, Manoj, Sam, Jigresh) were like a family to us and took such a great care of us. Will be using your service and Mindu as guide for future trek to Annapurna base camp! Thank you Ram, Mindu& team for an amazing service and memorable experience!!

"I recently returned from the Everest Base Camp trek, and I cannot recommend the experience enough—especially thanks to my incredible guide, Sengi. From the moment we met, Sengi’s warmth, knowledge, and passion for the mountains shone through. He went above and beyond to ensure not only my safety but also that I fully immersed myself in the beauty and culture of Nepal. Sengi’s knowledge of the terrain and local customs was remarkable, but what truly set him apart was his attention to detail and care for me on the trek. Whether it was checking on my altitude acclimatization or sharing stories about Sherpa culture, he made every day special. His genuine kindness and patience helped me push through the more challenging parts of the trek with confidence. Thanks to Sengi, I felt supported every step of the way on the trek and was able to fully appreciate the awe-inspiring beauty of Everest. If you're considering this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, I highly recommend this agency, and especially Sengi as your guide!

The Flight to Lukla: The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is often described as thrilling, and Rinji’s presence helps make it a smooth experience. He ensures that all arrangements are in order and provides reassuring words as you board the small aircraft. The dramatic landing in Lukla, with its short and steep runway, is an exhilarating start to the trek. Trekking from Lukla to Namche Bazaar: The trek from Lukla to Namche Bazaar is where the adventure truly begins. The path winds through lush forests and across suspension bridges, with the Himalayas slowly coming into view. Rinji’s pacing is perfect, ensuring that the trek is challenging yet manageable. His frequent check-ins and encouragement help you stay motivated as you ascend towards Namche Bazaar, a bustling town that serves as a vital acclimatization point. Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar: Rinji’s approach to acclimatization is both practical and insightful. On this day, he takes you on a hike to the Everest View Hotel, offering breathtaking views of Everest and neighboring peaks. This excursion not only helps in acclimating to the altitude but also provides a fantastic opportunity to appreciate the grandeur of the Himalayas. Rinji’s explanations of the local flora, fauna, and cultural significance of the peaks enrich the experience. The Trek to Tengboche: As you trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, Rinji’s knowledge of the terrain and weather patterns becomes increasingly valuable. The trail offers panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, with Rinji pointing out key landmarks and sharing fascinating details about their history. The visit to the Tengboche Monastery is a highlight, with Rinji providing context about its spiritual importance and the daily lives of the monks. Journey to Dingboche: The trek to Dingboche is marked by an increase in altitude and a shift in the landscape to more rugged terrain. Rinji’s careful attention to your pace and his advice on managing altitude-related symptoms are crucial during this segment. Dingboche, with its stunning vistas and serene atmosphere, is a welcome respite, and Rinji’s insights into the local Sherpa culture and lifestyle offer a deeper understanding of the region. Acclimatization in Dingboche: The acclimatization hike to a nearby ridge is an important part of the trek, and Rinji’s guidance is invaluable. The panoramic views from the ridge are awe-inspiring, and Rinji uses this opportunity to explain the challenges of high-altitude trekking and how to effectively deal with them. His expertise ensures that you’re well-prepared for the final push towards Everest Base Camp. Reaching Everest Base Camp: The trek to Everest Base Camp is both exhilarating and demanding. Standing at the base of Everest is a profound moment, and Rinji’s shared excitement and pride in your achievement make it even more special. He provides context about the base camp’s role in mountaineering history and the ongoing expeditions that set out from this iconic location. Descent Back to Lukla: The return trek to Lukla is a time for reflection and celebration. The descent, while easier, still requires careful attention to avoid any injuries. Rinji’s support continues to be unwavering as he helps you navigate the trails and prepares you for the return flight to Kathmandu. Return to Kathmandu: Back in Kathmandu, Rinji ensures that all your travel arrangements are in place and takes the time to reflect on the trek with you. He is always available to answer any final questions and assist with any further travel plans. His comprehensive knowledge and thoughtful guidance leave a lasting impression.
