Sherpa Expeditions took care of every detail and they were there for the entire adventure. They greeted me at the airport upon arrival and were still helping me after I arrived for departure and hit some travel issues because of Covid. The tour was amazing! My guide, Lapkah was super knowledgeable and knew how to help me pace myself to reach EBC. The food was fresh from the garden and any supplies you missed they have for you to borrow. If you are looking to do EBC I would HIGHLY recommend Sherpa Expeditions. It was the adventure of a lifetime!!!!

"Really great experience! Dawa Sherpa and Dorje were both incredible and we would not have made it without them. The weather did mean we were delayed 4 days in starting the trek but Ram did his best to help us. The scenery and the history were absolutely beautiful and the accommodation including the food were absolutely better than expected. We made friends for life with others on the tour and would absolutely recommend this trek to anyone.

"The Everest Base Camp Trek with Sherpa Expedition was a remarkable adventure that surpassed all my expectations. The blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and expert guidance made this trek an experience I will cherish forever. Organizational Excellence: From the initial contact with Sherpa Expedition, it was clear that this was a well-organized operation. Their pre-trek briefing was detailed and informative, covering everything from the physical demands of the trek to the cultural nuances of the region. This level of preparation was crucial for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Guides and Support Team: Our guides, led by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Lakpa, were instrumental in making the trek successful. Lakpa’s deep understanding of the terrain, weather conditions, and altitude management was invaluable. He and his team provided constant encouragement and support, ensuring that every member of the group was comfortable and well-informed. Trekking Highlights: The trek itself was a series of unforgettable experiences. Starting from Lukla, we were treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, and each day brought new sights and challenges. The trek took us through charming villages, dense forests, and across high-altitude meadows. The acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche were particularly well-planned, allowing us to adjust to the altitude and explore the local surroundings. Cultural Insights: One of the most enriching aspects of the trek was the opportunity to engage with Sherpa culture. Our guides shared fascinating stories about their traditions, and we had the chance to visit ancient monasteries and witness local customs. These cultural experiences added a meaningful dimension to the trek, making it more than just a physical journey. Teahouses and Cuisine: The teahouses we stayed in were comfortable and provided a welcoming retreat after long days of trekking. The meals, prepared with care and attention, were a highlight of the journey. I particularly enjoyed the variety of dishes, from traditional Nepali meals to international options, all served with a smile. The Base Camp Experience: Arriving at Everest Base Camp was the culmination of the trek and an experience I will never forget. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest peak and taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains was a powerful moment. The sense of achievement and the beauty of the landscape made the entire trek worthwhile. Safety and Comfort: Sherpa Expedition’s commitment to safety was evident throughout the trek. The guides were attentive to our health and well-being, and their proactive approach to acclimatization and altitude sickness ensured that we were well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Discover Everest Base Camp tours for every budget
The Base Camp budget treks hit the sweet spot for many travelers, running 10-14 days with all the essentials covered. You'll stay in simple but welcoming tea houses, share tasty local meals and trek with guides who've mastered the art of proper pacing. The shorter 10-day routes are particularly popular since they still take in Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery and also Kala Patthar. Even with the condensed timeline, guides build in crucial acclimatization days. The shared spaces in tea houses add an authentic touch, with many travelers telling us they enjoy swapping stories with other trekkers while keeping their costs down.
For extra comfort, our luxury lodge treks upgrade the experience with stays at Yeti Mountain Home properties that offer real beds, hot showers and excellent dining. These premium tours include helicopter flights back from Gorakshep or Kala Patthar instead of the long walk down. The lodges provide a cozy retreat after each day's trek, with big windows facing the mountains, comfortable dining spaces and attentive staff who look after all the details. Your guides are experienced mountaineers who love sharing their knowledge about local geology, culture and also climbing history. The tours often feature cultural activities in Kathmandu and private transport throughout your journey.

Demographics
Solo travelers really connect with our classic Base Camp trek packages, especially the 14-day routes that include proper stops in Namche Bazaar for altitude adjustment. Our experienced guides Gyanu and Dilman get excellent feedback for how they monitor each person's progress, health and pacing on the trail. The schedule gives you time to dive into Sherpa culture at local tea houses, join the morning prayers at Tengboche Monastery and make connections with fellow trekkers. Solo guests tell us they love how the guides handle all the planning - from finding good rooms to organizing meals and setting up rest day activities. They particularly value the friendships that grow with their guide and porter teams over shared dinners and conversations along the way.
Many couples opt for our premium lodge treks that combine solid hiking with real comfort - think actual beds, hot showers and quality dining after each day on the trail. These tours feature scenic helicopter rides back from Gorakshep or Kala Patthar instead of walking down. The upscale mountain lodges offer private rooms with big mountain views, comfortable common areas for evening relaxation and also attentive service teams handling every detail. Our mountaineer guides add depth to the journey by sharing insights about the geology, climbing history and also local Sherpa traditions. Couples tell us they really value mixing challenging daily hikes with comfortable evenings and cultural experiences in Kathmandu.
Young adult trekkers often choose our more challenging routes that link Everest Base Camp with extra goals like crossing Cho La Pass or exploring Gokyo Lakes. These longer treks run 15-21 days and draw fit hikers wanting both physical tests and cultural experiences. The itineraries include proper altitude adjustment time while letting you push to high points like Gokyo Ri at 5,357m. Our younger guests love having guides who share deep mountain knowledge but keep things lively with trail games, evening cards and also spontaneous tea house dancing. Many highlight the perfect mix of tough hiking, authentic local moments and chances to connect with other young trekkers from across the globe.
Senior trekkers give top marks to our private guided tours that let them set their own pace with extra rest days as needed. These custom 14-16 day treks focus on proper altitude adjustment, with guides who pay special attention to energy levels and health throughout. Our senior travelers appreciate choosing when to start each day, taking longer stops at viewpoints and also adjusting daily distances based on the terrain. They often mention how much they value having patient guides who understand the need to take steep sections slowly while still reaching Base Camp successfully. Many highlight their guides' extensive knowledge about Sherpa culture, local medicinal plants and also mountain formations shared during rest breaks.
