I have done this trek at the end of february as solo traveler (nobody else joined). Beautiful weather, nice scenery, friendly people, very few tourists. Hotel in Kathmandu is in busiest tourist part of city - bring earplugs. Trek was hard but rewarding. 7 days up and 3 days down. On the way up the guide adapted to my pace and we managed to finished about 2-3 pm every day. The way down, on the other hand, was like a race. No time to enjoy surroundings, head down watching your step. Lodges are simple buildings. One big dining room with a stove in the middle (only place where you can warm up) which they light up around 5-6 pm when the sun is down. rooms are very simple and cold. No source of heat, feels like in the fridge, you can see your breath. You go to sleep in cold and wakeup in even more cold or freeze.Your health is your responsibility so bring medications which you might need. Food is nice and plenty to choose from. It is almost the same in every lodge just the prices go up as you go higher. Only 3 meals included, NO drinks whatsoever and you will need to drink a lot. Bring your own teabags and pay just for boiled water (you save a lot) Due to bad weather I had to stay extra night in Lukla and fly next day. Be aware Peregrine does not cover you and you will have to pay for everything (accomodation/food/drinks). If EBC is your goal go ahead, if you want to see Everest you will see just very top of it. 10 days is too short in my opinion. 1 extra day for descend would help a lot. Go in wamer months and just follow the crowd.Show more

  I didn't realize when I booked this that it's a trekking tour, I thought it's a tour to Nepal. I don't think we would qualify because, we aren't that fit and or have any trekking experience. I would like to see other choices of your for us to do instead.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
