Sleeping Bag (Sherpa Teams will provide but need to return after completing the trip), Duffel Bag (Sherpa Teams will provide but need to return after completing the trip). Recommended items include: Fleece jacket, waterproof windbreaker, thermal underclothes, rain poncho, trekking pants, hiking socks, moisture-wicking shirts, trekking shoes, flip-flops, sunglasses, headlamp, hiking backpack, reusable water bottles, water purification tablets, basic first aid kit, and toiletries.

Our guide Kumar was a great host, guide, waiter, concierge…. etc. He helped with everything from acclimatizing, to what clothes to wear, food recommendations, and helping out with everything at every Tea house. He was an All-Star during the BIG snowstorm of October 4, and helped us get the base camp before they closed the trail and was instrumental in helping everyone make the trail down to Lobuche the next morning. Bijay was a great porter who worked hard every day to bring our gear to each tea house with a smile. We highly recommend both. The best part is the office is right in Thamel, so it’s easy to get to and the communication was great from when we booked the reservation till we left Kathmandu.Show more

Some hiking days were very long and hard but felt well supported by the Uma Holidays Team, with frequent breaks and encouragement. What made the trip most enjoyable, exciting, and achievable was the guides! I was lucky enough to have Lakpa as the head guide for our trek. Lakpahas incredible knowledge and a terrific attitude and sense of humour. He had numerous tips and I don’t think I would have been able to get to base camp or kala pattar without him. I was also lucky enough to meet assistant guides Lakpa and Dorje who were equally supportive, helpful, and humerous. Again, without their help it would have been that much more difficult in succeeding in the trip. Kiran, Lakpa, and Dorje did everything for us and our trekking crew and I highly recommend this company and these staff members specifically. The generosity of the guides was unbelievable and I am so happy to have met these lovely people. Five out of fiveShow more

- For any tour departing before March 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition Teams. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
