    The Everest Base Camp Trek is a 15-day adventure that starts and ends in Kathmandu. This is a high-intensity trek that requires a very good level of fitness, as travelers should be prepared for several days of challenging and demanding hiking at high altitude.
    
    Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by a Chief Experience Officer (CEO)/guide and your fellow group members from the beginning of the tour to the end.
    
    Accommodation includes:
    * 2 nights in hotels/guesthouses
    * 12 nights in traditional teahouse lodges
    
    Tour highlights and inclusions:
    * Trek to Everest Base Camp
    * All necessary trekking permits
    * Porters during the trek
    * Internal flights
    * All transportation between destinations and included activities
    * Services of an experienced CEO/guide

    I would like to know if single accommodation is available during the stay. Also I would like to know what kind of safety protocols are being followed during the trek.

    The My Own Room option is not available on the Everest Base Camp Trek tour due to the accommodation style used throughout the trek.
    
    In terms of safety, all of our guides and trekking staff are experienced, certified professionals who are highly trained in leading trekking tours and managing traveller wellbeing throughout the journey. They will brief travellers on the trek daily.

    Regretfully, our Everest Base Camp Trek does not seem to include a trek to Gokyo Ri. If you do decide to participate in this tour and want to return to Kathmandu via helicopter ride, you will have to independently book this alternative flight method and note that you will not be refunded for any voluntarily missed services

    This tour does not have the option to add a single room in advance, nights will be spent in a tea house. A tea house is the combination of guest house, restaurant, and social hang out. Private rooms are available in most tea houses which may be booked on arrival, except for high altitudes ones where it will be just dormitories. The lodges are fairly basic. The rooms are sparse with twin beds and very little additional furniture.

  How do we normally settle the payment? How much do I need to pay in advance to book the tour. I also wanted to know what I can and can't bring on this trip. Also is luggage with wheel allowed? Is April 5 still available and when should I arrive in Kathmandu in case

    Wanted to check the time the tour usually ends as i am checking if I can catch the 10PM flight on April 19. Also if I click the book the tour, I already have to pay for the whole amount. Will this be refunded if my schedule changes?

    Day 15 is a free day, you can depart at any time. We ask that you only book the tour if you are sure you can attend, if you cancel, the deposit amount (20%) stays on file to be reused and fees occur within 30 days of the start date. Please make sure you read through the terms of cancellation before booking.

    The best time to visit Everest Base Camp is late Sep-Nov and Feb-May. These are the main trekking months with fairly stable conditions, good visibility and temps at Base Camp getting up to about -6°C.

    The Everest Base Camp trek is considered a moderate to challenging trek, and a good level of fitness is required to complete it successfully. It is a physical rating of a 5 - which is the highest level G Adventures offers. The Everest Base Camp trek requires a moderate to good level of fitness. While it's not a technical climb, the trek involves long days of walking (5-7 hours) on uneven terrain at high altitudes. Training 3-6 months before the trek is ideal, focusing on aerobic exercises, leg strength, and endurance. Prior hiking experience will also be helpful.

  i am interested in the 15 days trek to everest base camp in March 2025. i have the following questions - 1) i am an international traveler (USA), are there any additional costs/fees/permit charges involved besides the base fee ? 2) i am a repeat traveler with G Adventures (i did an Antarctica adventure with you in 2019) -- is there any discount i can get ? 3) what will be the tour group size (meaning, how many people will be a part of the group?)? 4) if i am a solo hiker then will i have to pay any additional charges ?

    There is a 5% discount for repeat travellers but can not be combined with any other promos. The maximum group size is 15 for this tour. You will not be a solo hiker as this is a small group tour.

    1) how do i apply for the 5% discount (repeat customer)? 2) how much weight does the porter carry / hiker ? 3) Are all meals included ? 4) my previous question was more about -- besides the visa (which i understand is my responsibility. are there any international permits etc i need to pay G-Adventure (besides the upfront amount i am already paying)?)

    1. This can be applied by us, provided the tour is not already on a greater discount (promotions cannot be stacked). 2. We provide one porter for every two travellers; your trekking gear will be carried by the porter in a water-proof duffel that we will provide. The maximum the porters are allowed to carry is 10 Kg/22lbs per passenger. 3. No meals are included, you will be paying for them locally in Nepalese Rupee. 4. There are no other permit fees for this tour not disclosed.
