We'll spend the entire March 2024 in Africa and need to be in Capetown on March 18. We know what we want to experience (Okavango, Vic Falls, Krueger) but have no set schedule yet. That's what I'm working on right now. If we book this tour with you now, are we flexible to move the departure date (it will definitely be between March 3 and March 14, 2024)?

I am looking for a tour beginning around May 15 or so, and wonder if this tour around this date are available. Also, is there a single up-charge? And can you get a vegetarian meal plan, or pescatarian (also eat fish)? I would also be interested in a longer safari around that date, if you have any, up to two weeks or so. If I were to want to go to Victoria Falls after the 5 day trip, would I have to book a plane myself and accommodations, or do you have that as an add-on?

The package includes all meals, activities and entrance fees, yes. The only exclusion would be beverages other than water, and things like juice or coffee offered with breakfast for instance (e.g. alcoholic beverages, sodas etc). No sleeping bag necessary. All bedding is provided and the safari-tented room has a queen-sized bed, so very comfortable. We provide water and juice on all activities, and fresh drinking water on a daily basis at your tent. This is a high-risk malaria area, so please consult a medical professional about the correct way going forward. Yes this can be accommodated.

Is the price all inclusive or are there any hidden extra costs like community fees or meals, and would you be able to send me some more info about the flight that is advertised as part of the package.

All entry fees and activities are included in the price, including pick up and drop off in Maun before and after the tour. The flight over Okavango Delta is done in a small 4 or 6 seater airplane, flying over the area to see the waterways, animals and to getting a bird's eye view of the sheer size of the delta itself.

Hello Bastian Thank you for your review and your honest feedback. However, I am very disappointed that the package supposedly states easy access to the Okavango Delta. I quote the introductory paragraph on the tour page: "See African wildlife (including the Big 5) and breathtaking scenery on a game drive, traditional canoe and scenic airplane flight! This tour is a feast for the eyes and a majestic celebration of wildlife and nature! Join us for 5 unforgettable days on the banks of the Boteti River with activities in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge for your stay is situated on the banks of the Boteti River, a tributary that rises in the heart of the Okavango Delta. This important river maintains its flow during the dry season, when most other river systems are dry - meaning that animals always come to drink water (or to hunt those who drink water). This remote location is away from all man-made distractions, so you can really immerse yourself in the splendor of untouched and pristine nature." I don't see anything here that says easy access to the Okavango Delta. It says activities in the Okavango Delta. We try really hard to give an accurate account of where we are and what we offer - we don't promise anything other than what we offer. Was it perhaps a different personal expectation? I can also assure you that the drive to Moremi Game Reserve takes just over an hour, not 4 hours (unless there have been severe delays due to weather, flooding, bad roads? If so, please clarify). I will speak to our guides to enquire about this particular incident and get back to them after thorough investigation.   When would you say is the best time of year to visit the Delta. I heard that there are two seasons, a dry and a wet and that currently there has been a lot of rain.

  Normally the rain starts to subside from end Feb. Visiting between mid-March to end-May is a wonderful time as the delta will be the biggest in size, temperatures are still warm - and it is before the safari peak season. Jun - Sept is the peak tourism season. The window between end-Sept to mid-October can also work. From there on it gets hot and rainy season starts again.
