Deborah· September 14th, 2024It was pretty fast paced. I was not thrilled about the requirement to pay cash for all of the excursions. I was also not too happy that the tour guide solicited tips for herself and the bus driver. It would have gone over better if the tip expectation was mentioned when signing up for the tour. Other than that, it was lovely. It would also have been nice if written maps were provided as it was easy to get lost.Show moreTrip date: September 2024

Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written December 2025For the Taste of Italy guided tour, we only offer set departure dates. At the moment, the 4 October 2026 departure is sold out. However, the 11 October 2026 departure is still available if those dates could work for them.

Asked on November 28th, 2025I need the detailed info of the excursion - the Vatican Museums in Rome on Day7, including how much, how long...
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written December 2025The optional Vatican Museums guided tour in Rome on Day 7 costs €85 per person and typically lasts 2–4 hours. You'll be led by an expert guide through the Vatican Museums, skipping the lines to explore centuries of art and history, and finishing at the stunning Sistine Chapel. Please note this excursion is non-refundable, subject to availability, and we recommend booking at least 30 days in advance due to high demand.

Asked on November 23rd, 2025how many rooms they will accomadte?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2025Our tours use twin-share rooms as the standard accommodation. Minors must share a room with an adult, so they cannot be placed in a room on their own. Because you have an odd number of travelers, one person would either: Be paired with another solo traveler of the same gender, or Choose a private room upgrade (subject to availability) if they prefer not to share.
- C
Claudia
Traveler•Written November 2025so of course they will be accomodate 1 child in 1 room with 2 adults and the other one and the other room with the other adult. Is possible to quote the same package of the total of the party?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2025As per our policy, minors must share a room with an adult, so they cannot be placed in a room on their own. While we can check with our team if one minor can share with the two adults, and the other minor with the remaining adult, please know that this arrangement is not guaranteed, as our operating team has to find out if the hotels are able to accommodate this request. The tour cost is priced per person, so the total package price will simply be calculated based on the number of travelers (3 adults + 2 minors), according to the per-person rate.

Asked on November 3rd, 2025I have a couple questions for clarification around the tour. Can you provide details about the Colosseum tour in Rome, hotel locations in Venice, and time in Cinque Terre?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written November 2025The Colosseum & Roman Forum Guided Tour is available for pre-booking and will take place on Day 1 of your tour. In Venice, we generally use the Hotel Venezia. When visiting Cinque Terre, you can expect to arrive at approximately 09:00 and depart around 15:00. Typically, travellers comfortably explore three villages during this time.

Asked on October 1st, 2025Does the "Best Price" shown for three travelers include a separate room for the third traveler? If so, am I correct that the third traveler would be paired in a separate room with another traveler she doesn't know? Otherwise, would the third traveler be required to purchase a single supplement at an additional cost?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written October 2025The "Best Price" shown is based on twin-share accommodation, which means rooms are generally shared between two travelers. If you are booking for three people together, two travelers will be paired in one twin room, and the third traveler would need their own room. This can be arranged in two ways: If the third traveler is happy to share with another same-gender solo traveler from the group, we can match them at no extra cost. If they prefer to have their own private room, then the single supplement upgrade would apply.

Asked on September 4th, 2025How much would it cost for a single traveler? We're 3 adults and would need an extra room for our adult son (age 21) and are wondering about the extra fee.
- O
Olivia
Traveler•Written September 2025We're pretty flexible with our schedule and just wanted a broad idea of the extra cost…..let's say end of April or any week in May.
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written September 2025As our tours use a tiered or bucket pricing system, the cost of a tour can change depending on demand and how many seats are left. This means prices may increase as the departure date gets closer, so it's always best to secure your spot early for the best available rate. We recommend checking the website directly for the most up-to-date price.

Asked on August 15th, 2025What hotel do we stay at for the first night in Rome? Does the first night accommodation start on the 12th evening or the 11th? Does the hotel selected offers airport transfers? Is our last night stay on the 18th at the same hotel we started?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025At this stage, the departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed starting hotel. Due to the fact that our hotels are subject to change, we do not provide inaccurate information beforehand. The included accommodations will start on the evening of July 12, 2026. The tour ends on the 18th of July 2026 after breakfast at the Hotel. There will be no accommodations for that evening. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation.

Traveler•Written August 2025I'm thinking of maybe leaving the walking tour of Florence early to go to the Florence Accademia. Where does the walking tour end in Florence? Is there any point during the tour that we are close to the Florence Accademia?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025The Walking Tour in Florence will end at Leonardo's Leather Shop at around 5PM. The address is Borgo dei Greci, 16/A, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy which is about 13 Minutes away from Accademia Gallery and you can choose to leave the group there and head for the Accademia then regroup for Dinner at around 6:30 PM.

Bianca
Traveler•Written August 2025Can you tell me all the places that we will be seeing on the walking tour of Florence?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025While we don't have the exact step-by-step breakdown for the 1 hour and 30-minute locally-guided walking tour in Florence, your tour leader and local guide will go over everything on the day itself. You'll get to enjoy a wonderful introduction to Florence's rich history and Renaissance heritage, with the walk ending at Leonardo's Leather Shop around 5:00 PM. From there, you're more than welcome to head off and explore places not covered on the tour — for example, the Accademia Gallery is about 13 minutes away, and you'll have some free time before regrouping for dinner at around 6:30 PM.
