  What is your cancellation policy for this tour?

    If you or any member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed tour, you must notify us in writing. Your cancellation will only take effect once we have received this notice.
    
    Cancellation charges are applied based on how far in advance of departure the notice is received, as follows:
    
    60 days or more – loss of deposit
    45–59 days – 20% of the tour cost
    30–44 days – 40% of the tour cost
    15–29 days – 70% of the tour cost
    14 days or less – 100% of the tour cost
    
    Please note that certain arrangements may not be amendable after confirmation, and any changes or cancellations could incur a charge of up to 100% for that part of the booking in addition to the above. If your reason for cancellation is covered by your travel insurance, you may be able to claim these costs back. Where possible, we will deduct cancellation charges from any payments you have already made.

    Our Tours only offer Twin Share Accommodations, this means 2 people per room only. For your Family of 3, the setup will be 1 Adult and your child (10-17) will share 1 room, while the other adult can be paired with another traveler of the same gender, or get a Private Room Upgrade (limited availability per departure) so that he/she will not have a roommate.

    Venice Gondola Ride
    A gondola ride is the perfect way to appreciate the beauty and charm of Venice. Feel part of an ancient Venetian tradition and experience Venice as the locals have for more than a thousand years. Your visit isn't complete until you have experienced this! Please Note: Gondolas can take up to 5 people, so you will be sharing your experience with other members of your Expat Explore group. After 19:00 hrs the cost will increase by an additional €5.00 per person.

    Venice Lagoon Tour
    Take a trip from the city of Venice to seek out the islands further out in the lagoon, accompanied by your tour leader on a private boat. You'll get to discover two of Venice's most famous crafts: glass blowing and lace-making! Experience a glass-making demonstration on the island of Murano before travelling to Burano to see the colourful fishermen's houses and learn about the intricate art of lace-making.

    Colosseum & Roman Forum Guided Tour
    On your free day in Rome, why not take a guided walking tour of the stunning Colosseum and visit the ruins of the ancient Roman Forum? Accompanied by a local tour guide, learn the history behind the stunning buildings that once stood in the centre of Rome. Included is the entrance ticket as well as the services of the local guide.

    An Evening in Montecatini
    Experience a wonderful evening in Montecatini complete with a Tuscan dinner and scenic views! Enjoy a return trip to Montecatini Alto on the Montecatini Funicular and admire the views of Montecatini Terme along the way. Arrive at the restaurant and sit down for a three-course meal. Select your choice of a starter and main and savour the authentic Tuscan flavours! Vegetarian options are available and the tour leader will escort the group throughout the evening.     Our tours use twin-share rooms as the standard accommodation. Minors must share a room with an adult, so they cannot be placed in a room on their own. Because you have an odd number of travelers, one person would either: Be paired with another solo traveler of the same gender, or Choose a private room upgrade (subject to availability) if they prefer not to share.

    so of course they will be accomodate 1 child in 1 room with 2 adults and the other one and the other room with the other adult. Is possible to quote the same package of the total of the party?

    As per our policy, minors must share a room with an adult, so they cannot be placed in a room on their own. While we can check with our team if one minor can share with the two adults, and the other minor with the remaining adult, please know that this arrangement is not guaranteed, as our operating team has to find out if the hotels are able to accommodate this request. The tour cost is priced per person, so the total package price will simply be calculated based on the number of travelers (3 adults + 2 minors), according to the per-person rate.

  I have a couple questions for clarification around the tour. Can you provide details about the Colosseum tour in Rome, hotel locations in Venice, and time in Cinque Terre?

    The Colosseum & Roman Forum Guided Tour is available for pre-booking and will take place on Day 1 of your tour. In Venice, we generally use the Hotel Venezia. When visiting Cinque Terre, you can expect to arrive at approximately 09:00 and depart around 15:00. Typically, travellers comfortably explore three villages during this time.

  Does the "Best Price" shown for three travelers include a separate room for the third traveler? If so, am I correct that the third traveler would be paired in a separate room with another traveler she doesn't know? Otherwise, would the third traveler be required to purchase a single supplement at an additional cost?

    The "Best Price" shown is based on twin-share accommodation, which means rooms are generally shared between two travelers. If you are booking for three people together, two travelers will be paired in one twin room, and the third traveler would need their own room. This can be arranged in two ways: If the third traveler is happy to share with another same-gender solo traveler from the group, we can match them at no extra cost. If they prefer to have their own private room, then the single supplement upgrade would apply.
