    Asked on August 3rd, 2026

    Are all rooms twin? Is there transportation from airport to hotel when you arrive?

    Accommodation
    Flights / Transfers
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten August 2026

      Our tours are based on twin-share accommodation by default, with two separate single beds. If you prefer a double bed, you can request this when booking, and we'll be happy to pass the request on to our Operations team. Please note that double beds are always subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

      Airport transfers are not included with our tours. Once you have chosen your flights, we're happy to provide guidance on the best way to travel from the airport to the tour's starting hotel.

    Looks like I see the same tour on tourhub for a different cost...is there a difference or is this the same tour?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      In most cases, it is the same tour. TourHub is one of our travel partners, so the itinerary, inclusions, payment terms, and standard pricing are the same. However, promotional offers and discounts may differ between TourHub and Expat Explore Travel.

    Asked on July 22nd, 2026

    can we conclude this tour in Yorkshire rather than heading to London we have relatives in Hexham short trip by train from Yorkshire

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      That is certainly possible. If you decide to book this tour and would prefer to end your journey in Yorkshire instead of returning to London, you are welcome to leave the tour early. Please note that you will need to arrange your own transportation from the point where you leave the tour. We also recommend informing your tour leader of your plans so they are aware of your intended departure. For reference, the tour normally ends at 6:00 PM outside Hotel Novotel at Greenwich Station in London.

      as we are coming from france, we will have two big suitcases , will that be ok

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      Regarding your first question, there would be no refund or price adjustment if you choose to leave the tour early in Yorkshire. Our tours are sold and priced as a complete itinerary rather than by individual days or segments. As for your luggage, each traveller is allowed: One main suitcase up to 20 kg and One carry-on bag up to 7 kg. As long as each of your two large suitcases belongs to one traveller and does not exceed the 20 kg allowance, that will be absolutely fine.

      we are planning to leave on day 13 how far is the yorkshire station from the accommodation where staying in york

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      If you're planning to leave the tour in York and travel to the original meeting point in London, the distance from York to Novotel Greenwich Station is approximately 210 miles (340 km). The journey typically takes around 2 to 2.5 hours by train from York Railway Station to London, followed by a short journey on the London Underground or DLR to Greenwich Station, which is just outside the meeting point at: Novotel Greenwich, 173-185 Greenwich High Rd, London SE10 8JA, United Kingdom

    I'm interested in booking this tour for June 2027 and was wondering if you could let me know what optional activities are typically available during that time of year. I'd love to see a list of the available excursions for each day, along with the pricing, if possible. I know activities can change from year to year, but I'd like to get an idea of what would likely be offered before I book.

      Scott

      TravelerWritten July 2026

      I'm definitely interested in several of the additional activities for our June 2027 tour. I understand that the excursions, pricing, and availability may change before then, but would you be able to give me an approximate price range based on the current tour? I'd like to start budgeting now so I have a general idea of how much to save.

      I'm currently most interested in:

      * Heart of Scotland Dinner & Show
      * Conquer the Capital – Edinburgh
      * Alnwick Castle & Gardens
      * Ring of Kerry
      * Shakespeare's Birthplace & Afternoon Tea
      * Sights of Stirling
      * Stonehenge
      * Titanic Belfast Experience

      I also had one more question. During the Ireland portion of the tour, will we get to see the famous Cliffs of Moher, or are those not included in this itinerary?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      You're very welcome! I'm happy to provide the approximate prices to help you plan your budget. Please keep in mind that these are the current prices only and are subject to change before your June 2027 departure.

      Here are the current prices for the excursions you're interested in:

      Heart of Scotland Dinner, Show & Storytelling – GBP 75 per person
      Conquer the Capital – Edinburgh – GBP 45 per person
      Alnwick Castle & Gardens – GBP 36 per person
      Ring of Kerry Day Trip – EUR 60 per person
      Shakespeare's Birthplace & Afternoon Tea Experience – GBP 49 per person
      Sights of Stirling – GBP 25 per person
      Stonehenge – GBP 30 per person
      Titanic Belfast Experience – GBP 31 per person

      Regarding the Cliffs of Moher, I'm pleased to confirm that they are included in your tour itinerary. On your journey from Killarney to County Sligo, the tour travels along the Wild Atlantic Way and includes a stop at the Cliffs of Moher, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular coastal views. This visit is included in the tour and is not an optional excursion.

    Flights / Transfers
    Price / Availability
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2026

      Absolutely—you can join one of our tours that starts in London, even if you've already arranged your own flights.

      To check the price, you can browse our website and select the tour and departure date you're interested in. Once you add it to your cart, you'll be able to see the current pricing before making any commitment.

      Alternatively, if you let me know the name of the tour and your preferred departure date, I'd be more than happy to prepare a quote for you here, including the current price and any available options, so you can review everything before deciding.

    Stuart

    Asked on June 16th, 2026

    What time does the tour start? What time does the tour end? How much extra for a private room? Can you help with timing and rates for a nonstop flight from Atlanta and return? Is it possible to fly in on the day the tour begins? I'm concerned about timing or whether an extra hotel day is necessary. My dates are flexible if there are significant savings on airfare.

    Accommodation
    Flights / Transfers
    Price / Availability
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2026

      The tour starts in London at 6:30 AM on Day 1, so you'll need to be at the meeting point and ready to depart at that time.

      The tour concludes in London at approximately 6:00 PM on the final day, although this can vary depending on traffic conditions. We recommend allowing some flexibility when planning your onward travel.

      The cost of a private room upgrade varies by departure date and availability. You can view the exact supplement by selecting your preferred departure and adding the private room option in the booking cart, where a full price breakdown will be shown.

      While we don't arrange flights directly, you're welcome to book your own flights to suit your schedule. Given the early 6:30 AM departure time, we strongly recommend arriving in London at least one day before the tour begins, especially if you're travelling from Atlanta on an international flight. This helps avoid any stress caused by flight delays or jet lag.

      Similarly, as the tour ends around 6:00 PM, we suggest booking your return flight for later that evening or, for extra peace of mind, staying an additional night in London before flying home.

      Although pre- and post-tour accommodation isn't included in the tour package, you're free to arrange extra hotel nights independently if you'd like additional flexibility.

      Since your travel dates are flexible, it may also be worth comparing different departure dates, as airfare can vary significantly depending on the season and day of travel.

    Travel Support
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2026

      We do welcome many solo travellers on our tours, and our groups are very mixed in age and travel experience. You will not be alone in this, as we often have travellers who are visiting internationally for the first time as well as others who are more experienced.

      Our tours are designed to be group-based and fully guided, so everything is organised for you, including accommodation, transport, and sightseeing. This makes it a great option if you are not an experienced traveller, as you will always have support from your Tour Leader and the group throughout the journey.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2026

      All travellers are required to carry their own luggage throughout the tour. Our walking tours can last up to around 3 hours at a time, and some locations may include stairs, uneven surfaces, and periods of continuous walking. We always want you to enjoy the experience comfortably, so we encourage you to carefully review the itinerary and consider whether the pace and activity level feel suitable for you and your sister.

    I read that we pay for optional excursions in cash. (1) So no credit cards? (2) Does "cash" mean local currency (pounds / euros) or will US dollars be OK?

      Optional excursions on this tour can be paid for by card, so cash is not required.

      If you prefer to bring cash for personal expenses, we recommend using the local currency of the country you are visiting rather than US dollars.
