Brandon was excellent! Sights were amazing! Schedule was a bit aggressive. Coach lacked comfort, ie. no leg room, no cup holders, etc.

Seeing all of the amazing sites in the UK and Ireland was incredible. Rob, our driver, always made me feel in safe hands as we traveled throughout our tour. The schedule was rough on everyone. Many people got sick during the tour. I know that there was a need to get on the road to ensure we saw everything on the itinerary. Possibly more sleep-in options would be a good idea. I know that everyone I talked to was exhausted by the end of the first week. Additionally, some empathy from the tour leader would have been beneficial. Definitely not an option for anyone with a mobility disability! So much walking is involved. Should be better stated in the advertisements. I don't think it's necessary for the tour leader to tell us the exact same information during the coach ride that we are going to be told at the excursion. There were so many wonderful things we got to see and people we got to meet! I am extremely happy that I went on this tour, but there will definitely never be another tour in my future. I truly did not think I was going to make it to the end with the level of sleep deprivation.

Our tour director Brandon and our driver , Rob, were both the very best we could ever ask for. Brandon was so very knowledgeable, helpful, funny. I can’t give him enough wonderful adjectives, and the same for Rob. He was the very best. As for the tour, it was very good. We covered an amazing bunch of territory. Too many people, like herding cats. I will be sure to book a smaller group next time. But all in all, an amazing experience. A bit too many $ add ons.Felt like I was on a cruise ship.

    Asked on November 7th, 2025

We are looking at UK-Ireland tours for September 2026 and would like to have a clearer idea of what excursions/activities are included in this tour and what excursions/activities are optional. For the optional excursions/activities, do you have an approximate cost per excursion/activity?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Included excursions/activities: Many sightseeing stops, driving tours, and visits to key landmarks are included in the tour price, such as Stonehenge, Bath, Blarney Castle, Loch Ness, and more. Some hotels also include welcome or group dinners. Optional excursions/activities include: Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Alnwick Castle Only, Alnwick Garden Only, Full Irish Experience, Heart of Scotland – Dinner, Show, and Storytelling, Loch Ness Cruise, Ring of Kerry Day Trip, Shakespeare's Birthplace & Afternoon Tea Experience, Sights of Stirling, Stonehenge (Apr-May & Sep-Mar), Tales of Galway, The Beatles Story & Museum, Titanic Belfast Experience, Whiskey & Guinness Experience. Exact pricing for optional excursions is still being finalized.

Is there any way to get a detailed itinerary for the Included excursions/activities?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

The full program for your tour can be found on the website. We do not provide a detailed itinerary for optional excursions, as these are designed to be flexible and take place during free days or free time. You will have the opportunity to book these excursions directly on tour unless stated as prebooking only.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

While we warmly welcome travellers aged 75 and above, we do ask that all participants are fit enough to manage the pace of the tour. This includes boarding the coach independently (as our vehicles do not have wheelchair lifts), walking on uneven ground during sightseeing, and sometimes navigating hotels that may not have lifts or step-free access. At the moment, wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be accommodated on this tour due to space and logistical limitations, though a walking cane is acceptable.

    Asked on October 7th, 2025

Some of my friends wanted to go on this tour about 6 to 8 travelers. Are there optional tours during those free days? What is the detailed cost per traveler, is there a discount for early booking? What airport in London?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

Optional excursions available include: Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Loch Ness Cruise, Stonehenge, The Beatles Story & Museum, Titanic Belfast Experience, and Whiskey & Guinness Experience. The tour cost per traveler is USD 3,265.00. Pricing works on a bucket system with early booking offering lower costs. The tour starts in London, and London Heathrow (LHR) is the most convenient airport.

      TravelerWritten October 2025

I am trying to get a statement from you with the value of the first day of our tour. We were forced to miss the first day due to airline delays. I filed a claim with my travel insurance company. They require a statement from the tour company with a value for this missed day.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

Our tours are sold as a complete package, which means we don't assign a fixed daily value to each part of the itinerary. However, if you'd like, we can calculate an estimated value by dividing the total tour cost by the number of days and using that amount as the value for the missed day.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

Since our tours are sold as full packages and not on a per-day basis, the only way to estimate a daily value for your travel insurance would be to divide the total tour cost by the number of days. We cannot issue any official documentation for travel insurance purposes, as these are only provided in cases where the tour is fully cancelled or when major disruptions prevent travellers from joining.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

We do accept travelers of all ages (above 10 years old), including your client's father at 85 years old. However, we kindly highlight that our tours can involve long walking tours (sometimes 2–3 hours), early starts, long coach journeys, and in some cases, hotels without lifts or step-free access. We therefore recommend confirming that he is comfortable with the fitness and mobility requirements of the tour. If needed, we may also ask for a doctor's note to confirm he is fit to travel. As long as these requirements can be met, he would be very welcome to join the trip.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

For two people booking together, the deposit is 10% of the total tour cost for your chosen departure. Please note this deposit is only refundable within our 10-day Money Back Guarantee period. After this time, it becomes non-refundable. The tour price covers all transportation on our modern, air-conditioned coach, as well as the services of your professional tour leader throughout. A number of meals are also included (mainly breakfasts and some dinners), while others are free so you can enjoy local cuisine at your own pace. Daily sightseeing and guided walking tours are included in the itinerary, and there are optional excursions you can add during the trip if you'd like to enhance your experience.

    Asked on September 19th, 2025

Would it be possible to get a list of hotels that we would be staying at.

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

Since your departure is still far in advance, we cannot confirm the starting hotel yet, even the provisional list. Hotel allocations are subject to change, and we aim to avoid providing inaccurate details to prevent any confusion. We recommend checking back with us around 90 days before departure for the most up-to-date details.

    Asked on August 10th, 2025

I am looking at the optional excursions for this tour and would like to have some additional information related to daily timing so I can make decisions related to managing my rest appropriately. What time is breakfast each day? When does the bus depart each day? What is the approximate timing of each of the optional excursions in the day? When are the dinners scheduled and the approximate end times for each of the optional dinners? Also, are there any other parts of the tour other than the Ring of Kerry where I would be close to animals, I have asthma and could not do a horse drawn carriage ride.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

The Included Breakfasts on the tour usually starts at around 6:30AM-7:30 AM and after that, the Itinerary for the day is followed. Our Optional Excursions are incorporated in the Tour's Itinerary during the Free Times and Free Days and if customers wish to not join the Optional Excursions, that is time that is allocated for them to enjoy the City that they are in, however way they would like to. Actual Timings are subject to change due to multiple factors which is why it is not readily available or provided to customers.
