Overall, I'd say the trip was worth the money. The included attractions were worth the drive, as well as the ease of letting someone else do the driving and planning. The sites were breathtaking and the rest stops along the way were in some neat areas. Our tour guide kept things lively with his knowledge of the area and the places we were traveling to. His relationship with the driver was excellent and made for a comfortable and reassuring ride. There was a balance between 3, 4,5 star hotels that made it interesting. My biggest complaint was that all the extra/optional attractions had to be paid for in cash. While this was stipulated in the Expat details, I had to email both Expat and Tour Radar a couple times before these important details were sent to me. The email with the details about paying in cash for optional tours never made it to me and I had to use money budgeted for daily expenses towards these extra tours. In my opinion, all tour leaders should have either an App on their IPhones that accept credit cards, or an external device to take credit cards. Most travelers do not like to carry cash and use their credit cards for most purchases when traveling for many reasons, points earned and ease of use. While it was explained to me when I complained about this to the tour guide that the Vendors for the Attractions expect to be paid in cash/pounds/euros, the Tour Guide could have just as easily paid for these extras with a cash advance drawn from company account. This is how its done in the 21st Century. There is an App for every need and this would serve both the travelers and the company. Several travelers and myself found this to be a problem, the biggest being a shortage of money and huge bank fees for ATM transactions at almost every stop. This, and only this would be the biggest reason as to whether I would book a trip through EXPAT or TOUR RADAR in the future. Next trip I plan I will find out early on what the "extras" are that need to be paid in cash, as I mentioned I did not receive an email from EXPAT until I had already left for my trip. The ease and safety factors of using a credit card outweigh any other benefits offered on a tour, namely, it frees up your cash and gives you time to pay it off.

Richard was the greatest guide we could have hoped for... he became more of a good friend after only a few days always making sure those on our trip were well taken care of and had everything they could possibly need. Our driver Martin was fantastic navigating those roads and has also become a close friend. We loved everything about this trip and the people involved!

Wow what a wonderful tour! Our guide Kealeigh for awesome. She was so knowledgeable in all the areas we traveled and you could experience her passion for history with each story she told. We made new friends and will treasure the laughter and stories forever. Our driver Matt was patience and kind and we enjoyed spending time with him in the evenings. Though it was a packed tour, we did see lots of sites. We would have loved to spend more time in a few areas. Thanks TourRadar for helping us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in style.

She got a First Aid person at the next venue to affirm her concern. This person called for an ambulance who administered CPR and used an AED to restart my heart after a Cardiac Arrest. I was rushed to the hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland where a stent was inserted to open a blocked artery in my heart. Within the hour I was in recovery in Intensive Care, and released 2 days later. We were on day 11 of a 13 day tour and Kaeleigh kept in touch daily by texting to keep up to date on my progress. We are now back home in Canada. Thanks Kaeleigh.

We chose the 13 Day Best of UK & Ireland tour because it was well priced and went to the places we were interested in seeing all over the UK and Ireland. In this respect the tour delivered well. We got to see many beautiful places in a relatively comfortable bus. The tour leader kept everything running smoothly (not an easy feat with 40 passengers), and I have a new respect for the bus drivers who navigate those tiny European roads. For these reasons I do not regret taking this tour, and ultimately I believe it is good value for the money. However, there are several negative aspects of the tour that should be mentioned. Most importantly, the daily schedule is very taxing. We typically woke up at 5:30am for 6:30am breakfast and 7am departure. The days consisted of riding the bus from sight to sight and arriving at the next hotel in a new town around 8pm, immediately going to dinner, often with the group. We finally got to our hotel room around 9:30pm to shower, get our belongings in order, and go to sleep to do it all over again the next day. Key ingredients to any happy trip are sufficient sleep and personal time away from the group, and these were sorely lacking on this tour. Also, I caught an illness from another passenger that gradually spread throughout the bus, making the hectic schedule particularly miserable. It's my belief that this poor schedule results from poor choices in hotels. Most hotels were not centrally located in town, but rather in the middle of nowhere. Centrally located hotels are essential. With them, you can roll into town early afternoon and check in. Then you can either engage in extra activities with the group, or opt not to so you can have personal time to explore on your own, catch up on sleep, do laundry, get over any sickness, etc. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Because the hotels were poorly located, it made no sense to get there early. So, the only choice was to keep touring on the bus with the group and get to the hotel very late. I get it - far away hotels keep costs down, but I am more than willing to pay extra for better located hotels since they are so critical for a successful trip. Even worse, we were only told the actual hotels we would be staying at a few days before the tour started. So it was impossible to research them ahead of time before committing to and paying for the tour. Again, overall I am happy I did this tour because of the amazing things we did and saw. It is just frustrating that the experience could have been much more enjoyable simply by having more personal time.

I haven't travelled yet but from what I've seen so far I'm extremely happy I have chosen to travel with TourRadar. From my very first enquiry I was impressed. I had been researching a number of companies to find the right tour for us but all the others took their time in replying and I had to ask a number of times for information. The team at TourRadar were always prompt with answering me and very forthcoming with information. The website was easy to use and I was very impressed that it had so much information. What information I couldn't find on the website was quickly given to me once I asked. Would I refer TourRadar to my friends.....I already have! Now I can't wait to travel
