    Asked on January 28th, 2026

What is the typically/ current age range for your Sept 27- Oct 9 best of Uk and Ireland tour? Do you typically have many solo travelers?

    Age Range
    Group size
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

We have a very wide range of ages on our tours, and do not restrict our passengers to certain age groups or limits. Currently for this departure the age range is from 30- 60 years old but we expect a wider age range as the tour fills up.

We do have many travelers that join our tours as a solo traveler as they find comfort in group travel.

    Asked on January 21st, 2026

Looking for a tour which would include the Edinburgh military tattoo 2026

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is not included in the standard itinerary for Expat Explore's Best of UK & Ireland tour. While the tour does visit Edinburgh, attendance at the Military Tattoo is not included.

    Price / Availability
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Expat Explore, like many operators in our marketplace, may not offer specific senior discounts for their tours. We advise checking the individual tour details on our website or contacting the operator directly for any available promotional offers that may apply to you.

    Asked on December 25th, 2025

Do you offer ADA accommodations? I mainly need an ADA bathroom in the hotel room and a wheelchair for long distances

    Accommodation
    Travel Support
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

We can submit a request for ADA accommodations, such as a hotel room with an accessible bathroom. Please note that availability depends on the hotel, and not all hotels may have wheelchairs. Additionally, our tours involve a significant amount of walking and mobility is required for participation. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee full accessibility for all aspects of the tour.

  • C

    Charles

    Asked on December 4th, 2025

Could you please advise on if it's possible for three people (mom, dad, and 14-year-old) to stay in one room?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

Our standard rooming is twin-share, where 2 people share 1 room. Since we do not secure triple rooms, we can suggest the following options: The 14-year-old can share a room with one parent, and the other parent can book a private single-room upgrade, if available and at an additional cost. Or share a room with another traveller of the same gender.

  • C

    Cindy

    Asked on November 23rd, 2025

Does above tour include flights ? From Sydney & return flights ??

    Flights / Transfers
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Flights are not included in this tour package. This means you'll need to arrange your own flights from Sydney to the starting point and your return flights home from the ending point. The starting and ending point of this tour will be in London. The tour itself includes your transport (via coach/bus) throughout the itinerary, accommodation, some other inclusions, and the services of your tour leader — but the flights are booked separately.

    Lucy

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

The total distance travelled on this tour is approximately 2,700 to ~3,200 km. This may vary slightly depending on local conditions, but it's a good overall estimate.

How do you cross the oceans?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

When the itinerary requires crossing water (such as travelling between England and France on the way to/from the UK), the journey is completed either by ferry or through the Eurotunnel (Channel Tunnel), depending on the schedule and availability for that departure. Once in the UK and Ireland, all travel continues by coach, including the ferry crossing between Wales and Ireland as part of the itinerary.

      Patricia

      TravelerWritten November 2025

What are the extra costs we need to prepare for?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Travellers typically budget for optional excursions, meals that aren't part of the itinerary, local transport during free time, entrance fees to attractions, personal expenses, potential tipping for tour leader and driver, travel insurance, and visa requirements.

      Patricia

      TravelerWritten November 2025

Is there down time so we could go golfing or the trip is booked daily?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

There will be some free days in the itinerary, as well as pockets of free time on other days. Your tour leader will go over the schedule each day, so you can decide whether to enjoy that time independently or join optional excursions.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Included excursions/activities: Many sightseeing stops, driving tours, and visits to key landmarks are included in the tour price, such as Stonehenge, Bath, Blarney Castle, Loch Ness, and more. Is there any way to get a detailed itinerary for the Included excursions/activities?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

The full program for your tour can be found on the website. We do not provide a detailed itinerary for optional excursions, as these are designed to be flexible and take place during free days or free time. You will have the opportunity to book these excursions directly on tour unless stated as prebooking only.

    Travel Support
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

While we warmly welcome travellers aged 75 and above, we do ask that all participants are fit enough to manage the pace of the tour. This includes boarding the coach independently (as our vehicles do not have wheelchair lifts), walking on uneven ground during sightseeing, and sometimes navigating hotels that may not have lifts or step-free access. At the moment, wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be accommodated on this tour due to space and logistical limitations, though a walking cane is acceptable.
