Thank you for your feedback about our tour. Please note that as a coach tour operator, our tours involve a significant amount of travel by coach as we move between different destinations. We understand that this might not be everyone's preferred way of traveling, and we appreciate your input. We will consider your comments as we work to improve our tours and ensure a better balance between coach travel and time spent at each destination. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on tour in the future.

It's a great idea to plan ahead for optional excursions. While everything is optional, many travellers choose a few along the way. Here's a guide to the available optional excursions, along with approximate pricing and a short description to help you budget:

The Beatles Story & Museum – £21 – Discover the history of The Beatles in Liverpool

Titanic Belfast Experience – €34 – Interactive Titanic museum visit
Loch Ness Cruise – £25 – Scenic cruise on Loch Ness
Sights of Stirling – £25 – Guided highlights including monuments and viewpoints

Estimated spend: Most travellers typically spend around £200–£400 / €200–€400 total, depending on how many excursions they choose.

      Please note:
Most excursions can be booked on tour with your tour leader
The Full Irish Experience must be pre-booked before departure

    Asked on April 25th, 2026

Is there a way to put my itinerary with the dates available on my app. I'm not the primary contact. But I can't get to the itinerary easily and need to share it with my family and friends so they know where I am.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

You and your family can view the itinerary on our website. If you need a more detailed itinerary, we suggest contacting your lead traveller, who can provide these details through the operator on your confirmed booking conversation page. The tour operators will typically send more specifics as your departure date approaches.

  • G

    Grace

    Asked on April 25th, 2026

Are their options for transport to and from the airport for the beginning and end of the tour?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

We do not offer direct airport transfers to or from the tour start and end points.

However, we can certainly advise you on suitable options to arrange this, such as reliable airport transfer services, taxis, or other local transport providers depending on your arrival and departure airport.

    Asked on April 23rd, 2026

      TravelerWritten April 2026

Is it possible to book the same hotel room in London for the 3 days before the tour begins? Should I contact the hotel directly to ask about this early arrival option?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

In terms of age, while the guideline for this tour is 10 to 75 years old, it is not a strict cut-off. What's most important is your fitness and mobility level, as our tours can be quite fast-paced and include walking tours lasting up to 2–3 hours, sometimes on uneven ground or cobblestones, along with early starts and long travel days. Based on what you've shared, it certainly sounds like you're active, so it should be okay.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

Regarding your stay before the tour, we no longer arrange pre- or post-tour accommodation directly. You're very welcome to contact the hotel used for the tour to check availability, or explore options through platforms like Booking.com, which often provide a wide range of choices and competitive rates.

    Asked on April 16th, 2026

I need to book 2 rooms. Is that possible or is that 2 solo tickets that I have to buy? The tour does not include airfare from Montreal to London return right?

    Accommodation
    Flights / Transfers
    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

Absolutely, you can book 2 separate rooms for 2 travellers—this would simply mean selecting a private room (single occupancy) for each person. So yes, it would be priced as two solo/private room add-ons, rather than one twin-share room.

As for flights, you're correct—the tour price does not include international airfare (e.g. Montreal to London return). Our tours are land-only packages, so you would need to arrange your own flights to and from the start/end point.

  • T

    Thomas

    Asked on April 13th, 2026

which time is best to visit uk and Ireland ? I prefer the cooler weather and less crowded as possible.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

If you prefer cooler weather and fewer crowds, the best time to visit would be during the shoulder seasons, particularly May or September to early October, as these months offer mild, comfortable temperatures and a more relaxed experience with fewer tourists, while still enjoying good daylight and open attractions; in contrast, June to August is the busiest and warmest period, and November to February tends to be colder with shorter days?

  • L

    Lucy

    Asked on April 11th, 2026

What is the single supplement? Do I get discount if i have traveled with expat before?

    Price / Availability
    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten April 2026

The single supplement refers to the option for solo travellers (or anyone in an odd-numbered booking) who would prefer their own private room instead of sharing with another same-gender traveller. This is essentially the private room upgrade, and the cost varies depending on the specific tour and departure date. You'll be able to see the exact price during the booking process at checkout or in your cart before confirming.

Regarding discounts for returning travellers, any promotions or pricing offered through TourRadar are determined by what is currently available on the platform at the time of booking. These may differ from any direct operator promotions, and unfortunately, we're not able to apply additional discounts outside of what is already displayed online.

  • M

    Muhammad

    Asked on March 27th, 2026

Can you describe a "twin room with private bath"?

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

For our Tours, the included accommodations are in a Twin Share Room which means that 2 people in 1 Room.

For a group of 2 or more with even numbers, they will be paired into 2 and get 1 room for each pair. If you are a solo traveler or from an odd numbered group, the person who does not a pair will be paired with another traveler of the same gender and share a room together. But we do offer Private Room Upgrades for travelers who do not wish to room with another traveler. This is offered at an added cost and at a very limited availability per tour.

Do you have any recommendations for where to stay before and after in London?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

For pre- and post-tour stays in London, we generally recommend booking near the tour's starting and ending points, or somewhere central with easy transport access. This helps make your arrival and departure as smooth as possible.

At this stage, as your July 13 departure is still quite far in advance, the final itinerary and hotel details are not yet confirmed. These can sometimes change, but we'll have the most up-to-date information available within 90 days prior to departure.

In the meantime, choosing a hotel in central London or near major transport links (like Tube stations) is always a safe and convenient option.
