Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart to Queenstown
Your pickup happens early between 7:00 and 7:30am, then you head north through Mount Field National Park to walk among the tall trees and see Russell Falls. From there the route continues west to Lake St Clair, which is Australia's deepest freshwater lake. You'll drive through Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park with short walks along the Franklin River, stopping at Nelson Falls, Iron Blow, and Horsetail Falls before reaching Queenstown for the night.

- Day 2
Queenstown to Tullah
The day starts with a cruise along Gordon River through Macquarie Harbour, passing Hells Gates with rainforest all around you. You'll explore the historic convict site at Sarah Island, then take a boardwalk through the rainforests where you see ancient Huon pines. Lunch on the boat features Tasmanian produce. Later in the afternoon, head to Tullah where clear days offer views across Lake Rosebery to Mount Murchison. There's a group dinner followed by an overnight stay in a lakeside chalet.

Tullah to Smithton
Head north to Waratah to see the waterfalls, then drive through Hellyer's Gorge to reach the northwest coast. In Stanley you'll check out The Nut, which is an ancient volcanic plug with coastal views. Continue to Arthur River on the Tarkine coast, a location with deep spiritual significance for Tasmanian Aboriginal people. Dinner is included at your Smithton accommodation.

Smithton to Devonport
After breakfast you venture into the Tarkine Rainforest, the world's second-largest cool temperate rainforest. You'll walk to Sumac Lookout for views over Arthur River and check out Trowutta Arch, a geological formation. Later you visit Boat Harbour Beach on the northwest coast, take in views from Table Cape, and explore the town of Penguin. The day finishes in Devonport with an included group dinner.

Devonport to Launceston
The day focuses on Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair National Park where you can spot wombats at Ronny Creek with expert guidance. You'll visit the historic Waldheim Chalet to learn about the area's history, and there's the option to walk the 6km Dove Lake Circuit around a glacial lake with views of Cradle Mountain. On the way to Launceston you stop in Sheffield to see the street murals. Once there, the evening is yours to explore.

Launceston to Bicheno
Start at Cataract Gorge near downtown Launceston where you might see wallabies. Travel toward the east coast with a lunch stop possible in St Helens (not included in the tour). You'll explore Bay of Fires, walking along white sand beaches with turquoise waters and orange boulders. Later you arrive in Bicheno, known for its little penguins. After dinner you can stroll to the blowhole or enjoy views of the Tasman Sea.

Bicheno to Hobart
Explore Freycinet National Park starting at Honeymoon Bay. Walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout to see Tasmania's most famous beach with white sands and turquoise water. Continue to Cape Tourville for views across Freycinet National Park and the ocean. Return to Hobart along the scenic Great Eastern Drive, then the rest of the day is free to explore the city.

- Day 8
Hobart
At Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary you'll see quolls, birds, wombats, kangaroos, and Tasmanian devils. After that, walk through the colonial village of Richmond with its heritage buildings and historic convict-built bridges. Return to Hobart via the Coal River Valley, known for wineries. In the afternoon, head to Mount Wellington in Wellington Park to explore the diverse trails through fern glades, eucalyptus forests, and dramatic lookouts. The evening is at leisure.

Hobart to Bruny Island
This day trip from Hobart involves a short drive and ferry across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island. Start at Truganini Lookout where climbing 279 steps gives you views of the narrow isthmus connecting North and South Bruny. Explore South Bruny National Park and visit Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Watch for rare white wallabies at Adventure Bay. Visit local shops to sample oysters, cheeses, and craft beers before returning to Hobart with the evening at leisure.

- Day 10
Hobart to Port Arthur
Begin at Port Arthur Historic Site, an open-air museum showing Australia's best-preserved convict settlement and a World Heritage Site. You'll wander through gardens and historic convict buildings. Travel along the Tasman Peninsula visiting several viewpoints including Pirates Bay Lookout for coastline views, Tessellated Pavement with its rock formations, and natural wonders like Tasman Arch and Devil's Kitchen. Return to Hobart around 5:30pm, concluding your Tasmanian tour.
