can you please tell me how much more a single supplement would cost?

    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

I'd be happy to check the price for the Private Room Upgrade, also known as the single supplement. Could you please let me know the specific departure date you're looking at for the Irish Explorer tour? Once I have that, I can provide the exact cost for the single supplement.

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Can you please tell me times the tour starts and ends? That will help in airline planning.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

For the 07 June to 13 June departure, the tour starts at 10:00 AM at a hotel in Dublin on the first day, and it ends at approximately 10:00 AM at a hotel in Dublin on the final day. These times should help when planning your flights, and we generally recommend arriving in Dublin at least a day before the tour begins to ensure a smooth start to your trip. Regarding the private room upgrade, it is currently available for an additional $895 per person for this departure, on top of the tour price.

    Asked on March 10th, 2026

how much it was extra for a solo room?

    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Each departure can vary in price, including the private room upgrade. For example, on the Irish Explorer departure of September 6, 2026, the private room upgrade is +$895.00, which is added on top of the base tour price. Please note that this example is in USD, and pricing may vary depending on your location when making the booking and your citizenship, as this determines the currency shown on the website. Pricing and availability is also subject to change.

    Asked on March 10th, 2026

Can I join a tour on day two as I will be in Belfast 16-17th of August 2026?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

You may refer to the Day 2 itinerary of the Irish Explorer tour below. To confirm, if you plan to join the Titanic Belfast Experience, you can arrange this directly with the tour leader during the trip—simply let them know of your interest.

      Day 2: Dublin – Belfast – Giant's Causeway – Derry
Today, head into Northern Ireland. Gain insight into the Rising, the Civil War and the Fight for Independence, along with The Troubles. Stop in the capital city of Belfast for a driving and walking tour. Then travel along the spectacular Causeway coastal route towards the famous Giant's Causeway! Today's last stop is the riverside city of Derry.

      Included Experiences:
Discover Belfast on a driving tour – See highlights such as Shankill Road and Falls Road, separated by peace walls, and learn about the city's transformation after the Troubles.

Marvel at the Giant's Causeway – Explore this natural wonder formed by volcanic activity—walk among the 40,000 basalt columns and decide for yourself how they were formed!

      Optional Experience:
Titanic Belfast Experience – Discover the fascinating history of the Titanic through interactive galleries, full-scale reconstructions, and innovative special effects.

Most optional excursions can be arranged directly with your tour leader during the trip and paid for in local cash or by credit card. Prices and availability are subject to change. Pre-bookable optional excursions are non-refundable once confirmed, as they are arranged in advance with our local partners.

    Asked on March 4th, 2026

We are looking at public transportation options from Enniscorthy/Wexford (we're attending an evening event on September 19th) which will get us to Dublin early enough to meet the tour on September 20th. This will mean an early bus or train trip that morning. So that we can figure out our timing, can you please tell me the name of the first hotel for this tour? Failing that, can you please advise which bus or train stops make the most sense? Also, does the optional tour of Dublin on the first day include a visit to the Guinness Storehouse?

    Flights / Transfers
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

At the moment, the current meeting point for this tour is:
      Louis Fitzgerald Hotel
1A Naas Rd, Newlands Cross, Dublin 22, D22 X5N7, Ireland
      Meeting time: 10:00am

That said, since your departure is still quite far in advance, please note that meeting hotels are subject to change for operational reasons. The most up-to-date and final details are usually confirmed within 90 days prior to departure, and your confirmed hotel and meeting instructions will be included in your Tour Leader Announcement (TLA) sent 10–15 days before the tour begins.

If the meeting point remains the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, it is located in Newlands Cross (Dublin 22), slightly outside the city centre. In that case, you would likely aim for public transport options that connect into west/southwest Dublin rather than central-only stops. Trains or buses arriving into Dublin Heuston Station would generally make the most logistical sense, as it's closer to that area than Connolly Station, and you could then take a taxi or local bus to the hotel. However, once the meeting hotel is reconfirmed closer to departure, we'll be able to guide you more precisely.

Regarding the Day 1 optional excursion – Discover Dublin, yes, this does include a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, along with top Dublin sights, a pub lunch, and a visit to the Irish Emigration Museum. It's a great way to kick off the trip if you'd like to explore more of the city.

Yes, you can definitely join the tour after 4PM on the first day. When you book the tour, you will receive the Tour Leader's Contact Info a few days before the start date, and you can use that to contact the Tour Leader when you arrive, so that you are advised on where you can catch up with the group.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

The starting hotel for this tour is located in the Clondalkin area. While hotel details are subject to change, it's unlikely that any updates would move the starting point far from the currently confirmed hotel.

Do you have a tour that would allow me to research my Grandmothers birth? She lived in Cork I believe, and born in 1894. Name Margaret Mary Collins. Roman Catholic.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

Our current tours do not specifically include genealogy or family history research in Cork. The closest option would be the Irish Explorer tour, which visits major locations across Ireland, including Dublin, Galway, Killarney, and other historic sites. Please note that this tour is focused on sightseeing and cultural experiences rather than archival research, so Cork and Margaret Mary Collins' records would not be a planned stop.

We are planning a trip to Ireland to see Josh Groban in Dublin on the 29th of March in the evening. We plan on arriving on the 28th and I would like to know what hotel is being used with the tour group so I can book the same for the 28th.

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

At the moment, your departure is still quite far in advance, so we're not able to confirm the exact starting hotel yet. Hotel allocations can vary by tour and departure date and may change as we get closer, so we don't want to give details too early and risk any confusion. For reference, in the past and for upcoming departures, we have used Clayton Hotel Leopardstown and Louis Fitzgerald Hotel — but please note this is subject to change. The best time to check back for accurate details is around 90 days before departure, once the hotel list has been finalised.
