I'm interested in the 7 day Irish explorer trip. I arrive at 4 in the afternoon on June 14, will that allow me time to join the tour since there is only a dinner meeting that evening?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, you can definitely join the tour after 4PM on the first day. When you book the tour, you will receive the Tour Leader's Contact Info a few days before the start date, and you can use that to contact the Tour Leader when you arrive, so that you are advised on where you can catch up with the group.

    Asked on December 29th, 2025

Where is the pick up point in Dublin as we have to book a hotel prior. Is City Centre the best area or somewhere else? Any info would be great before we book.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

The starting hotel for this tour is located in the Clondalkin area. While hotel details are subject to change, it's unlikely that any updates would move the starting point far from the currently confirmed hotel.

  • B

    Beth

    Asked on December 7th, 2025

Do you have a tour that would allow me to research my Grandmothers birth? She lived in Cork I believe, and born in 1894. Name Margaret Mary Collins. Roman Catholic.

    Other
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

Our current tours do not specifically include genealogy or family history research in Cork. The closest option would be the Irish Explorer tour, which visits major locations across Ireland, including Dublin, Galway, Killarney, and other historic sites. Please note that this tour is focused on sightseeing and cultural experiences rather than archival research, so Cork and Margaret Mary Collins' records would not be a planned stop.

  • L

    Lucy

    Asked on November 22nd, 2025

We are planning a trip to Ireland to see Josh Groban in Dublin on the 29th of March in the evening. We plan on arriving on the 28th and I would like to know what hotel is being used with the tour group so I can book the same for the 28th.

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

At the moment, your departure is still quite far in advance, so we're not able to confirm the exact starting hotel yet. Hotel allocations can vary by tour and departure date and may change as we get closer, so we don't want to give details too early and risk any confusion. For reference, in the past and for upcoming departures, we have used Clayton Hotel Leopardstown and Louis Fitzgerald Hotel — but please note this is subject to change. The best time to check back for accurate details is around 90 days before departure, once the hotel list has been finalised.

  • D

    Asked on November 5th, 2025

  • J

    Judy

    Asked on October 3rd, 2025

Is there a tour available in Ireland?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

We currently have one Ireland tour left this year - a 7-day tour from 19 to 25 October 2025. It's the Emerald Isle in low season on a slower-paced tour - enjoy crisp air, fewer crowds, vibrant cities like Dublin, Galway, Cork and Waterford, plus highlights like the Cliffs of Moher and Ireland's stunning natural beauty.

  • J

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

Our tours are run on set itineraries, and the cost is based on the full program. While travelers are welcome to join and leave the tour at any point that suits their plans, we're unable to reduce or alter the price or itinerary for partial participation.

    Melissa

    Asked on August 26th, 2025

Could you please provide us with the pricing details for the extra excursions available for this trip?

    Price / Availability
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

As of now, here are the current optional excursions offered: Discover Dublin – €90.00, Irish Music Evening – €69.00, Titanic Belfast Experience – €30.00, Tales of Galway – €35.00, Bunratty Castle with Lunch – €40.00, Ring of Kerry Day Trip – €60.00. Most excursions can be booked directly on tour with your tour leader. However, certain ones (like Discover Dublin) must be pre-booked due to high demand.

    Travel Support
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

Our tours are conducted in English, and we don't provide headsets with automatic translation into French during the tour. Tour leaders are happy to assist if you need clarification. Many guests use translation apps for key phrases or signs while travelling.
