Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're pleased you enjoyed the tour overall. Regarding the hotel locations, we select accommodations outside the city center to maintain high standards while keeping tour costs affordable. Additionally, we ensure that all hotels are close to public transport, making it easy for travelers to reach the city center. For optional excursions, we have implemented card payment facilities to provide multiple payment methods, reducing the need to carry extra cash. We appreciate your suggestions and will continue to strive for an excellent experience for our travelers.

    April

    Asked on October 23rd, 2025

I don't understand how this tour is considered medium intensity. It seems like there is a lot of time spent traveling and doesn't appear to be any hikes or bike riding. Why medium intensity? Also, are airport transfers included?

    Flights / Transfers
    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

The Italy Explorer tour is classified as medium intensity mainly because of the pace of travel and the amount of walking involved at various destinations. While there are no hikes or bike rides included, the tour features several city walking tours and days with longer sightseeing durations, which can make it more active than a relaxed itinerary. Regarding your other question, airport transfers are not included for our Europe tours. Travellers typically arrange their own transfers to and from the starting and ending hotels.

could you please let me know what time the drop off would be on the last day - trying to figure out best flight timing

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

The drop-off on the last day at BV Oly Hotel Rome is expected around 11:00 AM, though this can vary a bit depending on traffic. Planning your flight for early afternoon or later would be the safest bet to avoid any rush.

Are extra excurcions paid in cash or can a credit card be used?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

We suggest somewhere between £4-£6, €5-€7 or $6-$8 per person per day. Tipping is entirely voluntary and the above rate is offered as a suggested guide only.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

At this stage, your preferred departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed starting hotel. We suggest reaching out roughly 90 days prior for this information.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2025

Optional Excursions for the tour can be paid in cash or credit/debit card through the Tour Leader.
