      TravelerWritten March 2026

Do you restrict travelers based on age?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

The tour operator has informed us that, unfortunately, the tours currently on offer are not suitable for wheelchair users. The coaches used do not have lifts, and travelers are required to board independently. While the use of mobility aids such as canes or some walking sticks can generally be accommodated, the tour does require a moderate level of fitness. Participants should be prepared for regular walking tours, often lasting up to 2-3 hours, and navigating uneven surfaces like cobblestones. The itineraries are busy, with early starts and travel days.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

We welcome a wide range of ages on our tours and do not restrict travelers based on age. What matters most is a positive attitude and an open mind—those are far more important than a number! Please note that this tour requires a lot of walking, and while the tour leader provides guidance and support, passengers are expected to move around independently, manage their own luggage, and board coaches with minimal assistance. For travelers with mobility issues or who use a wheelchair, we recommend contacting us directly to discuss whether this tour would be suitable, so we can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Where is the meeting port located?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

The tour includes some meals as specified in the itinerary, but not all meals are covered. Travelers should budget extra for lunches, dinners, snacks, and personal refreshments. A general guideline is around £20–£40 per non‐included meal, depending on the city and personal preferences.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Non‐alcoholic drinks with included meals are generally provided. Alcoholic drinks and beverages purchased outside of included meals are not included in the tour price.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

We can accommodate vegetarian meals, but we do not provide diabetic‐specific meals. Please advise travelers to plan accordingly.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

The tour meeting point is outside Hotel Novotel at Greenwich station at 06:30 AM (subject to change). Travelers should arrive with enough time to check in and be ready for departure.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

All travellers on the same departure stay at the same hotels throughout the tour. In terms of rooming, our default accommodation is twin-share, meaning two separate single beds per room. For odd-numbered travellers, the third person would typically be roomed with another solo traveller of the same gender, unless you prefer to purchase a private room upgrade. If one of the travellers is a minor, they would need to share a room with an accompanying adult.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

The hotels on this tour are generally 3-star to 4-star, carefully selected for comfort, location, and quality. They offer clean and modern facilities, and most have private bathrooms.

Yes, this tour is fully guided. You will have a knowledgeable tour leader with you throughout the journey, providing insights and assistance at every stop.

Some meals are included, such as welcome dinners, group meals, and certain tastings, but not all meals are provided. You'll also have free time to explore local dining options.

The Europe Taster tour has a moderate pace, with a fair amount of walking and sightseeing. There are days with longer travel between destinations and optional excursions that involve more walking, so it's best suited for travelers comfortable with an active itinerary.

    Cynthia

    Asked on February 27th, 2026

If I purchase insurance for this trip and have to cancel, will I get a full refund? Are there different types of insurance? Which do I need to buy? I am a US citizen. Do I need a visa for this trip?

    Payments
    Visa
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Travel insurance is highly recommended for your tour. Policies can vary, but generally, insurance may cover cancellations, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events. Please note that any refund for cancellations depends on both our cancellation policy and the insurance provider's terms.

For the tour itself, refunds through Expat Explore are only processed if a cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to departure, in line with our 10-day money-back guarantee. However, even if a cancellation is within 10 days of booking, if the tour was booked less than 60 days prior to departure, a full refund is not provided. Your travel insurance provider can assess how much of your payment may be reimbursed in such cases.

There are different types of insurance, so it's best to choose a policy that includes trip cancellation, medical coverage, and personal belongings protection.

As a US citizen, you do not need a visa for short stays in the countries included on this tour. However, requirements can change, so we always recommend checking the official government websites closer to your departure date.
