    Asked on February 4th, 2026

Is the travel from Rome to Venice by train and the rest of Europe by train?

    Transport
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

This is a fully guided coach tour, so the coach is your primary mode of transport. Occasionally, we may use public transport for short excursions, but the majority of your journey will be by coach.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Our Itineraries are designed to showcase the best of each destination and are typically fast paced.

Additionally, Our tours can be quite active, including participating in walking tours which can include uneven paths and stairs and some early starts to get the most out of each day.

      Carol

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I have done quite a few tours over the past couple of years and I have coped pretty well. Of course 12 months can change things but I feel I want to go. I really would like to do this tour with my daughter. As I have stated I will be 78 and I am pretty active now.....I feel I would like to try but if when the time comes in 2027 to pay the balance I am sure I will have an idea if I am up to it.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

As you mentioned that you have been on tours before, including a recent one with us. Im certain you already have a good sense of the pace tours as well as know you are welcome to make use of your free days to rest.

I'm planning a 12-day Europe trip for 2 people and I'm interested in group tours but i will still need to apply for my visa as im filipino based in canada. are you able to provide visa support documents (confirmed itinerary, hotel bookings) for a Schengen visa? or please advise me.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

We can certainly book your tour for you. Please note, however, that visa support documents (such as a confirmed itinerary and hotel bookings for your Schengen visa application) will only be issued when: 1. Your travel dates are within the next 3 months, and 2. The tour has been paid in full.

  • D

    Dana

    Asked on January 21st, 2026

Is there any support concerning visa assistance through invitation letter or any form of document support for my travel purpose?

    Visa
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

We do provide documents to support your visa application and these documents will include:
-Travel Document (This includes a visa letter to be presented to the consulate and Purchase statement that displays full payment)
-Visa Program (hotels where you will stay and the tour itinerary)

Please note that you are required to pay for your tour in full and be within 3 months from your departure date in order to receive the documents. This is an embassy/consulate requirement.

  • C

    Cassandra

    Asked on January 13th, 2026

How are hotel accommodations rated and do we know which hotels we will be staying in??

    Accommodation
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

On the Expat Explore Europe Escape tour, accommodation is typically in comfortable, hand-picked 3–4 star hotels with private bathrooms, though hotels may vary by destination and are often located slightly outside city centers. While specific hotel names are not confirmed at the time of booking, passengers will be advised of their final hotel list closer to departure, usually via a pre-departure and the accommodation list will be sent a when all hotels has been confirmed before the tour begins, so they will know exactly where they'll be staying in advance.

If you do not wish to book a private room upgrade, you will still be paired with another traveller of the same gender for the duration of the tour. This ensures comfort and the full group experience while maintaining privacy.
