  We are looking for a private, multi-country safari in East Africa in June or August 2027 for a group of 5–7 travelers. Countries & key places we want included: Uganda - Queen Elizabeth National Park – focus on elephants, buffalo, Ugandan kobs, waterbucks. - Kazinga Channel cruise – we want to see hippos and other wildlife from the boat. - Kalinzu Forest National Park – chimpanzee trekking if possible, and other primates (black & white colobus, baboons, red-tailed monkeys, etc.). - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – gorilla trekking, ideally with a male silverback. - Golden monkeys trek (please include the best location/logistics for this). - Jinja – white water rafting on the Nile. Kenya - Lake Nakuru National Park – game drive with a focus on rhinos. - Kericho – visit tea plantations. - Maasai Mara National Reserve – including Loita Hills with traditional Maasai song and dance or cultural experience. Tanzania - Mto wa Mbu – cultural visit/activities. - Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Crater – we'd like to see black rhinos, lions, leopards, elephants, impalas, zebras and hippos. - Usambara Mountains – some hiking and scenic time in the mountains. - Kipepeo Beach in Dar es Salaam – time to relax at the beach. - Zanzibar – spice plantation tour and time on the northern beaches. Dates & duration: - Travel period: June or August 2027 (we are flexible between these months – please recommend the best option for wildlife, weather & price). - Please suggest a suitable trip length to cover all of the above at a comfortable pace (we do not want the itinerary to feel too rushed but also no longer than a month please). Preferences & requirements: - This must be a private tour just for our group. Please include: - All required permits for gorilla trekking, chimp trekking and golden monkey trekking. - All park fees and activities mentioned. - Accommodation: clean, comfortable mid-range lodges/camps (we are open to your suggestions). - Please explain: - Approximate total price for 5 people and for 7 people. - What is included or excluded (e.g., tips), we can sort our own flights and country visas.

  I'm very interested in traveling with Tour Radar on the Grand East African Safari. I've traveled with Tour Radar on numerous occasions but always with a smaller group. My only concern is the number of people I will be traveling with on this safari. Do you have any smaller group trips? 6-8 is preferred - thank you.

    This is a small group tour of 12 people maximum. The minimum number is 2 and the maximum is 12, and the trip is not always run with full capacity.

  Why can't you book as a solo traveler and select a single private room? Why does the accommodation drop down list 17 nights accommodation, when the tour is 12 days and the flights dropdown includes Regional Flights Kigali Nairobi (one Way) and Arusha Zanzibar (One Way), when Kigali, Arusha and Zanzibar are not even on the itinerary? Are there possibilities of extending the tour i.e. adding nights before or after?

    Yes, you can book as a solo traveler for this trip though the price will be US$ 11700.00. Accommodation is 11 nights and not 17 as stated. We have made that correction on the site. The trip has only one flight inclusion of Kigali Nairobi (one way) which is stated in the itinerary. Yes we can add extra nights before the and after the tour departing on your time of travel.

    That would be double the listed price and effectively means I would be paying for 2 people. How is that correct or justified? I appreciate a single supplement would be added and could increase the price by $1000-$1500 for instance. That is way out of my budget, with an international flight still to add and for just 12 days.

    The price of US$11,700.00 is based on traveling just alone on the trip and not accompanying any group. We can still customize the trip to suit your needs and budget.

  I want to confirm if this is a group tour and how many people will be on the tour. Also, is this focused on seeing the great migration at the Maya River? Is August or September the better date to see the river crossing?

  I am from United States and have had covid vaccination and ONE booster. I do NOT want the the other booster shots that followed the first one. Will I be able to go on this vacation?

    Not happy.....you did NOT answer my question about covid vaccines. Do I need all the boosters, or is the one booster I had sufficient for travel?

    All you need is a covid vaccine and a yellow fever inoculation certificate. The emphasis is on the main vaccine and not the boosters.
