    Asked on May 7th, 2024

i am very interested in Yosemite Classic Summits Half Dome and Clouds Rest. I would like to ask if there is a shuttle from the airport and as I am continuing my trip afterwards I would also like to ask if there is an option to store my luggage somewhere during the trip?

There is a shuttle into Yosemite from the Fresno airport but it it seasonal. You can check Yarts.com for more details and schedules. You can store your bags in our vehicle during your trip but please note that nothing scented (food, perfume, personal hygiene products) can be left in the vehicle. They must go in a bear bin near the car and it is not locked).

    Asked on July 12th, 2023

What is the best way for a solo traveler to get to the meeting point, or does your company or any associated companies do pick-ups and drop-offs in SF at the beginning and end of tours, and if so what are the timetables for this?

    Transport
    Travel Support
    • Wildland TrekkingOperatorWritten July 2023

To get from San Francisco to Curry Village in Yosemite Valley, you could take Amtrak to Merced and then the YARTS bus into Yosemite. YARTS also picks up in Fresno, Mariposa, El Portal, Oakhurst, etc. We don't offer private transfers through Wildland but YARTS is pretty reliable!

      TravelerWritten July 2023

Could you please confirm what time I would need to be at Curry Village on 3rd and what time I should organise a return flight to SF on 7th from Fresno, considering the wrap time of the tour and travel back to the airport. Could you also please confirm whether there is somewhere safe to park the car at Curry Village for the duration of the hike.

    • Wildland TrekkingOperatorWritten July 2023

You would need to be at Curry Village by 6pm on October 3rd for the orientation meeting. The trip usually concludes around 5-6pm in Curry Village. Most of our guests that fly, stay the night somewhere before they fly out. If you're driving you could return to Fresno or San Francisco depending on how you decide to get there. There is a parking lot at Curry Village where you can leave your car. It is advised not to bring anything scented like food or personal care products as bears have been known to break into cars. There are bear lockers on site so if you do have anything you can store it there for free. Keep in mind they aren't locked.
