What a magical Safari adventure! This tour packs it in! 2 days on the Masai Mara, 2 days in the Serengeti, a drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, plus cultural visits to a Masai village and other indigenous tribes. The overnight in the Serengeti tented camp was superb, offering a very comfortable yet immersive experience. We saw so much wildlife and many of the animals were within close range—elephants and giraffes crossing the road in front of us and lions walking next to the jeep! Our guide, Darlene, was exceptional —knowledgeable, caring, and fun-loving and our four drivers were incredible too —they know the parks so well and were a wealth of information. All our accommodations were terrific, meals were plentiful, and included activities were fun. This is an amazing trip!!!!Show more

Our guide, Julius Leteele was exceptionally good with his local knowledge. He went out of his way to make sure we were secure and informed at every step of the way. Our chefs, Godfrey and Jeremiah provided delicious and nutritious food sourced locally every single day. We really tasted the local authentic cuisine in spite of being in the road. Our driver, David was supremely skilled and kept us safe even with the wild and uncertain roads.   Accommodation within the Serengeti is in two-person canvas dome tents with sleeping bags and camping mattresses supplied. The campsite does have facilities but they are very basic and are not to the same standard you would find in western countries. There is rarely toilet paper provided and shower pressure is often reduced to a trickle of cold water.

  The cook will prepare meals for the group for most of included meals. While not required, any assistance you provide, such as chopping vegetables or washing dishes, will be appreciated. A typical camp breakfast might be toast with spreads, cereal, something hot such as eggs or pancakes, as well as tea and coffee. Lunch is almost always a sandwich with healthy salad and assorted fillings, sometimes with fruit to follow. Dinner might be a BBQ, rice dish or pasta dish and there is usually the chance to try some African food such as ugali and stew.
