Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi
You'll be picked up from the airport and driven to your hotel in Nairobi. If you arrive early, there's time to check out the Nairobi Gallery or relax poolside. At 6pm you'll meet your local leader and the rest of the group, then head to a local restaurant for traditional Kenyan food and to get acquainted with your travel companions.

Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
The drive takes you to the Great Rift Valley. You'll start at Elsamere, which was Joy Adamson's former home, then go on a boat trip across Lake Naivasha. High tea lunch happens on the grounds there. After that you'll continue to your Lake Nakuru lodge, arriving early in the evening with views across the national park and a chance to unwind by the infinity pool.

- Day 3
Lake Nakuru
An early morning 4x4 game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park puts you in position to see pink flamingos, waterbuck, and if you're fortunate, leopards or the endangered black rhino. You'll head back to the lodge for lunch around midday. The afternoon brings another game drive to keep searching for wildlife.

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Heading southwest toward the Maasai Mara, you'll pass through the remote Loita Hills and stop at Tepesua Village where Maasai Warriors greet you with traditional song and dance. You'll spend time learning about village life, visiting a traditional Maasai home and cattle enclosure, and checking out the Tepesua Widows Income Project. Later you arrive at Zebra River Camp for your next three nights, where sunset views and the surrounding wilderness await.

- Day 5
Maasai Mara
A full day of game drives covers the Maasai Mara. You depart early with packed lunch and drive deep into the park to spot wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, giraffes, and hopefully lions, leopards, or cheetahs. As evening approaches, you'll stop for a drink and take in the landscape. The return to camp happens late.

Maasai Mara
The morning is flexible - relax on your private deck or join an optional early game drive or walking safari if you prefer. An optional sunrise hot air balloon ride offers another perspective of the Maasai Mara if you're interested. In the afternoon you'll regroup for another 4x4 game drive through the park.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi
You'll leave the Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. After checking into your hotel, the evening is yours to do as you please.
- Day 8
Nairobi to Arusha
Early breakfast comes first, then you're driven to Arusha to start the Tanzanian section. Your hotel sits on the woodland slopes of Mount Meru in a traditional coffee farm area. At 6pm you'll meet new travelers joining this leg of the trip, followed by a welcome dinner.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast you head to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its baobab trees and diverse wildlife. You'll check into a permanent tented camp inside the park with views of the Tarangire River. An afternoon 4x4 game drive gets you searching for elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and other animals.

Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Highlands
An early breakfast and morning 4x4 game drive through Tarangire National Park offers chances to see elephants, buffalo, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, and predators like lions and cheetahs. You'll then drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping at a local farmers' market to observe traders and try seasonal fruits. The afternoon is free.

- Day 11
Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti
You'll travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area past the volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and on to the vast Serengeti plains, which span 14,700 square kilometers with roughly three million animals. An afternoon 4x4 game drive gives you a first look at the wildlife. Your home for the next nights is a Feature Stay permanent tented camp in the wilderness.

- Day 12
Serengeti
A full day in the Serengeti starts with a sunrise game drive to watch wildlife. You'll return to camp around midday to escape the heat and rest. As temperatures cool and animals become active again, you head out for an afternoon game drive. You'll stop in the park to have a sundowner drink while watching the sun set.

- Day 13
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Leaving the Serengeti, you travel back to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, one of Africa's most beautiful nature reserves and the world's largest intact caldera. You'll descend nearly 600 meters to the crater floor for a game drive where black rhinos might appear. A bush picnic lunch happens on the crater floor, then more game driving before returning to the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Ngorongoro Highlands (Karatu)
The morning is yours to relax. In the afternoon you can participate in a hands-on coffee plantation tour to learn how coffee goes from seed to bean to cup. Alternatively, spend time by the pool or explore other activities available nearby.

Karatu to Arusha
After breakfast you drive back to Arusha, arriving around lunchtime. Your adventure ends here. The rest of the day is free for you to spend as you like.
