- Day 1
Arrival in Windhoek
You arrive in Windhoek to start your Namibian adventure. Your international flight isn't part of the tour package, but the operator can help with booking arrangements if needed.
- Day 2
Windhoek
After airport pickup by noon, head to Daan Viljoen National Park if time permits to spot zebra, wildebeest, blesbok, giraffe, and ostriches. Later in the afternoon, walk through Windhoek's German-style town center and palm-lined Independence Avenue. Finish with dinner at a rustic Namibian steakhouse.

Harnas
Drive about 310 km to Harnas wildlife conservation project. In the late afternoon, take a guided tour of the animal orphanage and medical center. You'll see lions, cheetahs, leopards, eagles, guenons, zebras, baboons, African wild dogs, and springboks. Learn how the organization supports the San people through social projects.

Landmarks Harnas Wildlife Sanctuary - Day 4
Bushmanland
Travel roughly 300 km through Herero tribal areas toward Bushman country. Stop at a traditional Bushman village where locals show you jewelry-making from ostrich eggshells, arrow and bow crafting, and trap-setting. Arrive in Tsumkwe, the largest village in Bushmanland, for a two-night stay.

Landmarks Tsumkwe - Day 5
Kaudom National Park
Take a day trip into Kaudom National Park in the wild Kalahari, where deep sand means travel moves slowly, just a few kilometers per hour. Watch for wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest, roan antelope, sable antelope, elephant, leopard, and lion. During the second half of the year, elephants are particularly numerous. Return to the lodge by evening.

Landmarks Kaudom National Park - Day 6
Shakawe, Okavango Delta
Leave Tsumkwe heading east toward Botswana through a small, little-used border crossing. Pass scattered Bushman settlements and Twana communities, then join a good tarmac road running parallel to the Okavango. The 370 km journey ends at a lodge near Shakawe, right on the Okavango banks, where you'll stay two nights.

Okavango Delta
After breakfast, take a three-hour boat trip on the Okavango to see diverse birdlife, crocodiles sunbathing on sandbanks, hippos, and elephants bathing. Pass local settlements to see how people live. The boat tour might happen in the afternoon with an optional sundowner cruise. The rest of your day is free to relax by the river or watch wildlife.

Landmarks Okavango River - Day 8
Caprivi National Park - Kwando River
After a short drive, cross back into Namibia and enter Mahango National Park. Follow the river for the best wildlife viewing of impala, kudu, buffalo, sable antelope, and vervet monkeys. Cross the Okavango River at Bagani to reach Caprivi National Park. Continue through sparse bush landscape to an idyllic lodge on the Kwando River for two nights.

Landmarks Mahango National Park Caprivi National Park Kwando River - Day 9
Babwata National Park
Wake to mist covering the Kwando floodplains with hippos grunting and vervet monkeys performing in trees, all while having breakfast. Travel through Babwata National Park's deep riverbank sand where hippos, sable antelopes, kudu, impala, and elephants feel almost close enough to touch. This region rivals Chobe National Park in Botswana for wildlife.

Landmarks Babwata National Park - Day 10
Kasane, Botswana
Continue through East Caprivi to Katima, the region's largest town, then cross into Botswana. You'll arrive in Kasane in the afternoon for a two-night lodge stay. If time allows, join an optional Chobe boat tour.

Victoria Falls
Take a day trip to Victoria Falls, where water thunders down into a narrow gorge and you can hike through the spray. Visit multiple viewpoints to see how the falls look different from each angle. You'll cross another border to reach them. Lunch at the venerable Hotel Victoria is recommended (optional). Head back to Kasane in the afternoon.

Landmarks Victoria Falls - Day 12
Kwando River
Drive back to Namibia through Katima to Popa Falls, impressive rapids rather than a waterfall. Continue to a beautiful tented camp with 'Out of Africa' flair on the Kwando banks. Settle in front of your tent with a cool drink to watch the red sunset, then fall asleep to the sounds of Africa.

Kavango Village
Travel on the only road through Caprivi, called the 'Golden Highway', back toward the Okavango River. Pass countless settlements and villages where locals, children, goats, cows, chickens, and dogs gather on this road. Stop at a Kavango village to experience local life and find traditional wood carvings to buy.

Landmarks Kavango region - Day 14
Etosha National Park
Drive toward Grootfontein through areas with typical Black African settlement character. Stop to buy wooden carving souvenirs. In the afternoon, arrive at a rustic guest farm near Etosha National Park for a two-night stay. Share dinner with fellow travelers talking about all the exciting days just finished.

Etosha National Park
Start breakfast early to get the most out of Etosha National Park, a 22,000 km2 area with large game herds. Spend morning and afternoon hours viewing game at waterholes. At lunch, swim in the pool at Camp Namutoni or watch wildlife at the adjacent waterhole. Leave before sunset and return to your guest lodge.

Waterberg National Park

Windhoek
Have one final breakfast with your travel companions, then head back to Windhoek via the Okahandja woodcarving market. You'll arrive around 2 p.m., giving time for an evening return flight. If you'd prefer, you can extend your stay on a private farm or game lodge for a more relaxed ending.
