We had a great time in Namibia. From the moment we arrived it went like clockwork, seamless from airport pickup, pre accommodation and the whole tour itself. (It would only be fair to say that before the trip, however, the paperwork - hotel, transfer vouchers were very slow to arrive. The Sunday before a Tuesday departure we were almost at panic stations trying to find out where things were. We made phone calls & eMails to Europe, USA & Africa to chase things up. It shouldn't be like that. Very stressful.) Our guide for the week (Sylvester/Sylverius) was superb. He made our trip what it was. His driving was excellent (over 2500kms on a variety of roads), always safe and secure. His knowledge of the places we visited was just so good. If you manage to get him when you do this trip you will be very lucky indeed. The accommodation was excellent - Moon Mountain Lodge & Etosha Village particularly so. The Plaza in Swakopmund was not quite as good but ... you can't have everything. (This is a trip run by Across Africa Tours & Travel and they, too were a bit lacking with the paperwork. Our hotel bookings at Moon Mountain & Etosha were unconfirmed on arrival. There were rooms for us, luckily, at both lodges but at Etosha, our guide had to be accommodated at another lodge 25km away - it left us in a slightly embarrassing position. This is something we'd check up on before we went next time) The range of visits in this trip is very good indeed. You get to see great deal of Namibia in a short space of time. it was well worth doing. We'd recommend it to anyone. Our guide talked, also, about similar trips to Botswana and we would definitely consider using TourRadar to go there (hopefully with a slight improvement on pre-holiday communication). Our guide Sylvester said that he also worked the Botswana tours so if we go we'll ask for him. A long journey via Johannesburg to get there but well worth. It was the holiday of a lifetime. we'd go back and do exactly the same again at the drop of a hat. Thank you.

This was an amazing tour- the itinerary was a perfect blend of game viewing safaris, jaw dropping scenery, adventure activities and lovely welcoming people. Accommodations and food exceeded expectations and our guides Shuur (Botswana) and Noble (Namibia) were helpful, friendly, accommodating and genuinely good people. Highly recommend TS Tours for your African journey. I hope to return someday.

We had a wonderful time during our trip through Namibia with Across Africa Tours & Travel and can highly recommend! We are a couple from Germany, used to good hotels but also spend a lot of time in the mountains hiking and staying over in Alpine lodges. We normally also like to travel and explore a new country and culture on our own - but due to workload we did not have time to acquaint ourselves with Namibia before the trip so we've opted for a small group, organized trip. We found the offer short notice (3 days prior to departure) on Tourradar, booked on a Sunday - and received confirmation straight Monday morning! :) @Across Africa Tours & Travel: thanks for making this possible! Contact prior to the trip was very friendly, and questions were answered quickly. The trip in lodges and campsites was well organized. Car, drive, campsites, lodges, tent and equipment were all very nice, comfy and in good shape. We are minor neat freaks - but just bring a liner and your gear, and all is fine. Our trip went from Windhoek to Sossusvlei / Solitaire, Swakopmund and area, to Etosha and back to Windhoek. It was planned to arrive back in Windhoek late afternoon / early evening and we had no stress making our departure flight at 7:30 pm. We had a great time with our guide/driver, Shawn! Many thanks for the wonderful trip - we can truly recommend!! Due to the short-noticed booking we ended up travelling just the two of us, and Shawn did the best to cater to our needs and was very flexible. As far as possible, requests on alterations to the route (i.e. spending more time somewhere, taking out a stop but therefore adding another one on the route etc.) where done. His recommendations on additional activities and possible alterations where all worth while - of course, it's up to you to choose, but utilize your guide's connections where possible. For example, we very much enjoyed: - Hot-air balloon ride in Swakopmund (wanted to do this for years so took the chance. Hot-Air Ballooning Namibia was very safe, friendly, well organized, punctual for agreed pick-up etc.) - Jeep safari to Sandwich Harbour near Swakopmund (not cheap but very recommendable! done by Sandwich Dune Tours) - Open air jeep for safari in Etosha (contact through Shawn) - Recommendations on restaurants We also liked the BBQs, grocery shopping etc. - all added to the occasion. And in our conversations we also learned more about Namibia than if we had just travelled by ourselves. To us, it was a special trip to remember. It was only too short, but that's down to our availability. So we definitely want to come back and would book with Tourradar and Across Africa Tours & Travel again at any time!

- Spring 2026
September through November tours let you see Namibia spring to life after winter. Our 5-day tours focus on Sossusvlei dunes and coastal areas, with perfect timing for sunrise dune climbs before the heat kicks in. You'll reach Dead Vlei exactly when the morning light creates those stark contrasts with ancient camel thorn trees. Along the coast, you'll see flamingos at Walvis Bay lagoon during migration season and Cape fur seals gathering in their colonies. We've balanced the driving times nicely while fitting in desert walks, dune exploration and also local craft market visits.

- Summer 2026
For summer tours December through February, we adapt everything to make the most of cooler mornings and evenings. Our travelers particularly love the 7-day highlights tours with their early starts at Etosha's waterholes and late afternoon game drives when wildlife comes to drink. You'll stay at places with pools and shaded spots for those midday breaks. The 10-day premium tours are especially good in summer - think private verandas catching afternoon breezes while watching desert plains game. Our guides are experts at keeping everyone comfortable - scheduling hikes before it gets hot and planning sundowners with cool ocean views along the Skeleton Coast.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
March and April tours work really well for wildlife viewing as animals gather around the remaining water. Our 7-day safaris split time nicely between desert landscapes and Etosha's wildlife, while 6-day dune and wildlife combinations let you climb those towering red dunes in pleasant temperatures. Private tours are particularly good this time of year - guides can adjust things around the weather, maybe spending extra time at cheetah rehabilitation centers or visiting Himba villages. Our travelers love the permanent tented camps and lodges as bases, getting that perfect mix of outdoor exploration and comfortable amenities as the weather starts cooling down.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Our winter safaris in Namibia from May through August really shine - especially the 7-day wildlife and desert tours that our travelers consistently rate highest. You'll get prime game viewing at Etosha when animals gather at the waterholes. Guides like Abel and Kalus know exactly where to spot black rhinos and elephants in that crisp morning light. The lodges are carefully chosen with floodlit waterholes right nearby, perfect for watching wildlife at night when the temperatures are mild. We also run excellent 6-day Etosha and Skeleton Coast combinations - you get both game drives and coastal exploration when the Atlantic fog creates these moody scenes along beaches dotted with shipwrecks.
