Individual Arrival
You'll arrive in Windhoek today. Getting here is on you to arrange, though the operator can help with flight bookings if needed.
- Day 2
Windhoek
Pick up happens at the airport by noon. If there's time before then, head to Daan Viljoen National Park to see zebra, wildebeest, blesbok, giraffe and ostrich. Later, walk through Windhoek's German colonial areas and check out Independence Avenue. Dinner at a local steakhouse is optional this evening.

Harnas - Bushmen Village
Drive northeast through Herero pastoral land toward Harnas wildlife conservation area. Visit a Bushman village to learn traditional desert survival techniques and how people lived nomadically here. You'll camp in dome tents tonight with dinner cooked over an open fire.

Landmarks Harnas - Day 4
Kalahari - Khaudum National Park
Travel through Kalahari foothills with a mix of open spaces and thick bushland. Stop at Tsumkwe to pick up supplies, then head north into Khaudum National Park, one of Namibia's most pristine reserves. Set up camp at Camp Sikeretti or near a Bushman settlement at the park entrance.

Landmarks Khaudum National Park Tsumkwe - Day 5
Khaudum National Park
Spend the day in Khaudum's interior where deep Kalahari sand makes driving slow going. On game drives you'll spot wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest, roan and sable antelope, elephant, leopard and possibly lion. Learn to read tracks and understand animal behavior through reconnaissance trips.

Landmarks Khaudum National Park - Day 6
Khaudum National Park - Okavango, Botswana
Cross into Botswana through a small border post near Tsumkwe. Head toward the Okavango River, a 1700-kilometre waterway that starts in Angola and ends in Botswana's desert. You'll set up camp on the river banks for two nights.

- Day 7
Okavango River
Start with a motorboat trip to see the Okavango's plants and animals, with lots of bird species to spot. Watch for hippos and crocodiles while observing how local people fish and farm along the water. The rest of your day is free to relax and take in what you've seen. Boat timing depends on what's available.

Mahango National Park - Popa Falls
Head back into Namibia and enter small Mahango National Park. The morning brings chances to see buffalo, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, impala, warthogs and vervet monkeys near the river. You'll have lunch at Popa Falls, then camp for two nights on the river where sunsets turn red.

Buffalo Core National Park
Take a morning game drive into Buffalo Core Park to see the rich wildlife along the riverbanks. Lunch happens back at camp. The afternoon is yours to do what you like, whether that's exploring solo or joining an optional game drive or sundowner boat trip.

Caprivi Strip - Babwata National Park
Cross the Okavango River at Bagani into Caprivi National Park, a remote area bordered by Angola, Botswana and Zambia with scattered settlements. Leave the paved road and wind through bush to reach camp on the Kwando River in or near Babwata National Park. You'll camp for two nights.

Kwando River
Wake to hippos calling at dawn as mist covers the floodplains. Watch vervet monkeys jump through trees. Drive along deep riverbank sand on the Kwando with wildlife so close it feels surreal. This is one of those days where you feel completely surrounded by nature.

Chobe National Park, Botswana
Continue to Katima Mulilo for supplies, then enter Botswana at Ngoma. Take the transit route through Chobe National Park to a hidden camp near Kasane on the Chobe River for a two-night stay. The afternoon is free with an optional boat trip available. Watch the sunset from the fire as the land glows gold.

Victoria Falls
Take a day trip to Victoria Falls with hikes through the spray and different viewpoints along the gorge. Cross into Zimbabwe using a local tour company (border costs aren't covered). Afternoon options include a Zambezi boat trip or scenic flight. Get back to camp by late afternoon.

Landmarks Victoria Falls Zambezi River - Day 14
Mamili National Park
Drive back to Namibia across the Kwando's tributaries. Reach Mamili National Park in a wetland area with few tourists. You'll camp outside the park for two nights in a basic camp since camping isn't allowed inside. The area has high numbers of large African animals, and water covers up to 80 percent of it after rain.

Mamili National Park
Spend another day on game drives in Mamili with roads that have deep sandy patches only 4x4 vehicles can handle. See elephants, buffalo, hippos and rare antelope species in this lesser-known park that can match Chobe in terms of wildlife.

Rundu
The 'Golden Highway' takes you back to the Okavango River. Along the way watch daily life happen right on the riverbanks with children, goats, cows, chickens and dogs everywhere. The asphalt road is in good shape so you'll make solid time and reach a nice camp near Rundu by late afternoon. Watch the sunset over the river and hear drums in the distance.

Grootfontein
Visit a local school project in the morning. Then drive south toward Grootfontein where you'll see traditional Black African settlements and typical northern woodcraft sold along the road. Stop at a guest farm campsite just before Grootfontein.

Otjiwa Game Farm
Leave early in the morning. Stop for lunch at a crocodile farm partway through. You'll get to a nice camp on Otjiwa Game Farm by early afternoon. Relax by the pool or sign up for optional game drives.

Windhoek
Make the final drive to Windhoek with a stop at the Okahandja timber market for any last souvenirs you want. Get to Windhoek around 2 pm, with time for an evening flight if that's your plan. Or stay longer at a private game lodge for a calmer ending to the trip.
