Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
You'll drive about 2 hours from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. After grabbing a picnic lunch, there's a late afternoon game drive when wildlife tends to be more active. Elephants hang out in the shade on the escarpment, monkeys swing through the groundwater forest, and you'll see zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, and hippos throughout the park. Then you'll head to Bouganvillea safari lodge for the night.

Lake Eyasi
Today takes you to Lake Eyasi where the birdlife is really something to see. The meadows and forests around the lake have leopards, hippos, various monkeys, flamingoes, storks, and pelicans. You'll spend time at private campsites in forest clearings with grassy tent spaces and local-style showers. Later in the day you'll return to Bouganvillea safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Landmarks Lake Eyasi - Day 3
Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge
You're driving 3 to 4 hours to Serengeti National Park, but first you'll stop at Olduvai Gorge. This archaeological site is where early human fossils were first discovered, and the landscape here shows the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley. After exploring, you'll continue on to Serengeti heritage luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Landmarks Olduvai Gorge Serengeti National Park - Day 4
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you'll spend the full day doing game drives in Serengeti's wilderness. This is where the largest concentration of plain game roams free on the continent. A picnic lunch gets provided as you move through the park. By late evening you'll return to the tented camp where you can rest, have dinner, and settle in for the night.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you'll drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside this natural crater. This is your best chance in Tanzania to see black rhino and lions with those distinctive black manes. You'll also spot flamingoes, water birds, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelope, and smaller mammals. By late afternoon you'll head back to Bouganvillea safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

- Day 6
Tarangire National Park to Arusha
A 2 hour drive takes you to Tarangire National Park, which really comes alive in the dry season when migratory wildlife returns to the Tarangire River's permanent waters. You'll see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gathered at the river. In the late afternoon you'll drive back to your hotel in Arusha, finishing up your safari.
