You'll be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on when you land, there's time to either walk around the city or relax before your 17-day trip kicks off.

Nairobi to Masai Mara
After a briefing on safari procedures, you'll head through the Great Rift Valley and past Narok to reach Masai Mara. An evening game drive happens before dinner back at camp.

- Day 3
Masai Mara
Game drives run all day in Masai Mara with a picnic lunch at a viewpoint. This is your chance to spot the Big Five and see the massive wildebeest herds that fill the reserve.

- Day 4
Masai Mara
A morning game drive comes first, then you'll visit a Maasai village to see how the Maasai live. You can either stay with a Maasai family overnight or head back to your lodge for dinner.

- Day 5
Masai Mara to Serengeti
After breakfast, you'll leave Masai Mara and head toward Serengeti by crossing into Tanzania at Isebania and Serari. The drive includes stops in Ndabaka with lunch and wildlife viewing along the way. Your vehicle switches to a Tanzanian one at the border.

Serengeti

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
You'll drive to Ngorongoro and descend 610 meters into the crater for a full day of wildlife viewing. Lunch happens at a private spot overlooking hippos, and the crater floor holds tons of animals to see.

Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi
Travel to Lake Eyasi, a seasonal salt lake in the Great Rift Valley. You'll spend time with the Hadza people, an indigenous group living around the lake, for an authentic look at their way of life.

Lake Eyasi to Arusha
After breakfast, head toward Arusha through Lake Manyara National Park. You'll do a game drive to see the park's tree-climbing lions and elephant families in the forest before driving to Arusha for your flight to Rwanda.

Arusha to Kigali
You'll fly into Kigali and your guide meets you at the airport. If your timing allows, there's a 3 to 4 hour city tour hitting the genocide memorial and Kigali Museum before returning to your hotel.

Kigali to Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, head to Nyungwe Forest National Park in southwest Rwanda. The highlight is the Canopy Walkway on the Igishigishigi Trail, a high suspension bridge over the forest. You'll also look for chimpanzees, different monkey species, and the Kamiranzovu Marsh with its orchids and waterfall.

Nyungwe Forest to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, transfer early to Volcanoes National Park so you're ready for golden monkey tracking tomorrow morning. You'll arrive at your lodge late evening, have dinner, and rest up for the morning activity.

Landmarks Volcanoes National Park - Day 13
Volcanoes National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable
After breakfast, your golden monkey tracking runs about 3 hours. You'll return to the lodge for lunch, then head to the Rwanda-Uganda border at Chanika. Your Uganda guide takes over from there, driving through scenic countryside to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Landmarks Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Day 14
Bwindi Impenetrable
You'll start before sunrise with breakfast, then get a briefing on gorilla trekking at park headquarters. Your ranger leads the search for mountain gorillas so you can watch and spend time with them. After trekking, you'll get back to the lodge for a late lunch. Visiting the Pygmy community or resting afterward is your choice.

Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector where tree-climbing lions hang out. Then it's on to the North sector for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel spotting crocodiles, hippos, birds, buffalo, and more wildlife.

Landmarks Queen Elizabeth National Park Kazinga Channel - Day 16
Queen Elizabeth to Kibale National Park
Breakfast and a morning game drive happen in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Then you'll drive to Kibale Forest via Fort Portal, passing through the scenic Rwenzori Mountains. Kibale holds 13 primate species including chimpanzees, mangabeys, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies, and baboons.

Landmarks Kibale National Park Rwenzori Mountains - Day 17
Kibale National Park
Kibale is known as East Africa's primate capital. You'll trek into the tropical forest crossing streams to find and watch chimpanzees. Along the way you might see red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, butterflies, and birds. After lunch, there's time for birdwatching and more primate viewing at Bigodi Village and swamp if schedules allow.

Kibale to Entebbe
On your last day, you'll be driven to Entebbe International Airport for your departure. The drive takes about 5 hours, so an evening flight works best to give yourself time for check-in.
