  Did Mera Peak, Amphu Lapcha La pass, and Island Peak with Nepal Climbing Adventure and it was great! Very good communication leading up to the start of the trip. Both Chris and Khum (owners) made sure that everything was arranged for a successful and memorable trip. They showed flexibility, helped in creating the best itinerary and really delivered on this awesome experience. Best part about it is that they are 24/7 available for questions or other things to discuss. I was also very pleased with their guide selection for the trip. Would highly recommend anyone who wants to go trekking or climbing in Nepal to do it with Nepal Climbing Adventure.Show more

  answered all questions promptly and in detail. From the moment I arrived at Kathmandu airport I was promptly met and taken to hotel where Kris met with me and reviewed itinerary for next few weeks. Travel arrangements to Lukla had to be changed because of government shutdown of Kathmandu airport and Kris took care of all changes. Upon my arrival at Lukla I was met by my guide Pembra and porter and quickly given orientation and set off on trek. Over next two weeks my guide Pembra made sure all my needs were attended to and he made sure that the pace was appropriate for terrain and my condition. Although we were ultimately unable to summit because of weather the entire experience was was incredible and views spectacular. Cannot say enough about how well I was taken care of and the care they took to ensure I had a positive and successful experience. Based on my experience I would highly recommend Nepal Climbing Adventure and Kris for any future trekking experience in Nepal.Show more

  Responses to messages where always very fast before the trip and it was easy to customize the trip because I added a few days extra to see Everest Basecamp. No problems and payment with credit card was easy. In Kathmandu we met before and after the trip to make sure everything was OK, and Kris was very kind. During the tour everything went well thanks to the guide and porter and rescheduling of the flight back to Lukla with no problem. Mera Peak and Island Peak is a long trip with a lot of days spend above 5000m. So be aware that it is not easy but it is a beautiful trip where you get away from the crowd most of the time. Nobody else was crossing Amphu Lhapsa Pass the same day. But there were a few people other people most days and many after Everest Base. You get some really good and different scenic views on this trip. Mera Peak is mostly walking but sometimes it can be in deep snow. Amphu Lhapsa Pass is very steep but you have steel wires attached in the rocks that you can hook in to for safety. From the top you abseil down the first part but most of it is walking. At Island Peak you end up with what looks like a vertical icewall. It is very steep and you need to use ropes to climb up and to abseil down. You can still stand many places and relax so it's not climbing with ice axe but just a few meters up using the jumar and you can stand again. The last 30meters part to the summit is on a narrow ridge - very beautiful - there is a fixed lined for safety. The camping part of the trip from Mera to Island Peak via Amphu Lhapsa Pass was in tents already on the campsites - so no need to carry tent and food. Everything is available at the camp site. Food was included in my trip but drinks and water was not. You can buy bottled water and soda everywhere (1.5 - 5USD per bottle) or you can buy bottled water or use water purification tablets (I bought some in Kathmandu). I used all three methods. A warm down sleeping bag and a waterproof duffelbag was included in the price and it was good quality. I can recommend anyone to use this company. It was a good experience. Easy booking and easy communication - Kris is on Whatsapp so you can communicate on wifi when you are in NepalShow more
