  Just returned from this Safari as a group of 6 including our two granddaughters aged 9 and 12. Never been on a Safari and didn’t know what to expect we all returned with unforgettable memories. Well organised like an army expedition from pick up in Johannesburg by charming Solo 1 who halfway to the Tremisana lodge handed us over to Solo2. The lodge was very nice, friendly staff and we would like to thank all but especially Smiley always smiling and joking who named us the “big six” , Ve and Carl who were especially nice to our granddaughters. Someone back home asked me what type of animals did you see? My answer to it, everything except a honey badger. After if I remember correctly 3 days of roaming, bushwalking and driving mornings and evenings through the adjourning game reserves we were transferred to the Tree house. Same perfect precision organisation in beautiful surroundings. On our trip the next day as we entered the Kruger National Park a Cheetah greeted us on the left side of the road on the embankment. As if to welcome us he performed for us for a couple of minutes before disappearing into the wilderness. On this first day being in the National Park we encountered so many animals but a few standing out was a pack of wild dogs, the pack unfazed by our presence running along the road for quite a while. A Hyena cub sun bathing outside the den waiting for its mother. The visitor to the animal rescue centre was very educational and we had a lovely guide. We enjoyed 2 sundowners, unforgettable sunsets in the breathtaking landscape taking in the sun setting over the horizon turning from yellow to red. To be 💯% honest I was scared just looking into the bush and just hoping nothing was coming our way. On our last day we drove into Kruger for the whole day and besides spotting again a Leopard, lions and more on our way out a ball Elephant right next to the road munching away on the leaves of a branch unfazed at our presence. Naturally the driver stopped, turned off the engine and we just waited for his reaction. Munching away he slowly came closer to the open jeep. All of us sat mesmerised by the sheer size of the Elephant. He came so close that we could have easily touched him. All I could see was that big head of him, his eyes looking us over and playing with his trunk, sniffing around and finally after a few minutes which seemed an eternity he just walked away. I had the feeling that he just wanted to say “see ya again “ Next day sadly we had to leave back to Johannesburg where we stopped at a place unfortunately I don’t remember the name but with just mind blowing scenery. The only complaint I have is and nobody could fix that, it was bitterly cold in the mornings and evenings. We including our granddaughters learned so much and I’m sure they remember even the name of the many birds we saw. All I remember is one called banana bird. Easy to remember eh🤣Show more

  The tour was quite ok, but not perfect. I had booked a 6 day Kruger Park tour. Altogether 2 days were really within the Kruger Park. The drives in the Balule Nature reserve do really differ from Kruger Park. They should not be counted as drives in the Kruger Park.The tremisano lodge may have had better times. There was a chemical smell in the room, the water came from tanks, no drinking water. The room was quite dark, not attractive for a longer stay. Its about 100 km from the lodge to a Kruger Park gate. A long way which results in a very unattractive speed drive of the car. I had the impression that some drivers really like to drive fast, sometimes even within the Kruger Park they run faster than the allowed 50 km/h. At my second day visit of the Kruger Park, the official plan of the driver was not to use a toilet for the first 5,5 hours within the park. Although it was accomplished this is not a good idea. A toilet visit should be made possible about every 3 hours. The whole staff (drivers, guides, kitchen etc) made really a good job. Most impressive was the morning bush walk with the two armed guides. That was really a extraordinary activity.Show more

  Tourradar was wonderful to work with. Whenever I had a question or had to change something they answered me right away. Everything was problem free. We had scheduled the 6 Day Classic Kruger Park Safari. The Tour Operator was Viva Safaris, and we stayed at Tremisana Game lodge in Balule. The people that work there made our adventure magical. The lodge was nice along with the food. We saw lots of animals thanks to our tour guides. I would highly recommend both Tourradar and Tremisana Game lodge. I would definitely do it again Thank you WOWShow more

  All staff at Tremisana Game Lodge were excellent (Drivers Guides, Kitchen/dining etc).One thing we didn't like was that dinner wasn't served until 20:00 hrs, far too late, paticularly if going on an early morning game drive. We found the facility itself weird: The kitcken was located in another building about 50 metre from the dining room,with staff having to carry everthing outside back and forth. The dining room is completley open on two sides. The day we arrived the weather was great so this didn't matter but the next day a freezing cold change came through with gale force winds, so we ate our meals wearing heavy jumpers and spray jackets with hood on and blankets wrapped around us. Our room (for two) had two single beds and another two singles made up as a King double bed. This left very little room for anything else (eg a chair even).. There were no amenities in the room; eg no dinking glasses, no bottled water, no coffe making etc.Show more

  I enjoyed the Safari, well organised and plenty of work had obviously gone into this - tankyou. The onl,y thing I would have prefered was some idea before the commencement about the amount of cash and guide line for tips. There was no where we could get extra cash an it was not until we were given the itinerary on the bus the amount that was suggested we tip. Therefore, some people was short changed. Some idea somewhere that we would not have been able to get near a payment by card in the accommodation for drinks or anything would have been useful, otherwise very good and thank you, SusanShow more

  Best Safari with Viva safaris from start to finish it was one of the best things I have experienced in my life absolutely amazing the staff the accommodation at Tremisana lodge the home cooked meals the safaris in the open sided vehicles the other friends you meet and make and to Rocky and George my favourite guides rangers we saw all the big five and more hundreds of animals birds etc and even a huge Black mamba snake on one of the safaris that good the Adrenaline rushing which is a pretty rare sighting but always felt extremely safe at all times these guys are professional.
